About: It seems as if I've always had a cat or dog or both since I was in grade school. At this time I have many kitties and one dog. Some of my kitties are foster kitties. Some I can pet and others I enjoy from a distance. I have 1 dog named Frannie. She is possibly a Rottweiler shepherd mix. In the past I grew up with a standard poodle. I have had a shepherd mix, another Rottweiler mix and a pit mix. I have seen all my dogs and cats thru to the rainbow bridge. I have fostered a litter of labrador puppies. That was fun! I currently help my mom with her pug mix named Chloe. I am currently working part time at a pre-school. I have Mondays, weekends, holidays and the summers off. I work until noon Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays until 3pm I would need to make sure your pets are cared for before I go to work @7:15am. I have a neighbor who helps me let my dog out while I'm at work, so I would be free after work to check on your animal(s). I would then need to come back to my house and take care of my animals and then go back to check on yours. I could do that as often as needed and then longer thru the night. I anticipate every situation to be different so depending on the need. I would be able to keep kitties in my spare bedroom. I have a large screen door to put in front of the bedroom door to keep them separate from my animals if needed. I am flexible to what the needs may be
About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve self-trained my own dogs and I’m comfortable reinforcing basic obedience commands like sit, stay, leave it, and leash manners (especially helpful for puppies and energetic dogs). I also have experience caring for a dog with seizures who requires medication, so I’m confident with administering meds and supporting pets with special routines or extra care needs. In addition to my own pets, I’ve regularly helped neighbors and friends with pet sitting and daily care. I’m attentive, calm, and safety-focused, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also groom and bathe my own dogs, and while full grooming isn’t typically part of my services, I’m absolutely willing to help if an urgent situation arises. I’m self-employed and work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate a wide range of needs. I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks and check-ins, including hourly relief when needed, and I can do multiple drop-ins throughout the day. Because I’m home often, I’m also able to give pets consistent attention, supervision, and routine support. Care looks a little different depending on whether I’m in your home or mine, but my top priorities are always safety, routine, and clear communication. I expect to communicate frequently during your pet's visit with me. In my home: For daycare or boarding, I require that dogs are crate trained, since dogs will be crated overnight and anytime I’m not home. I also require up-to-date vaccine records to keep everyone safe. I have two dogs of my own, so I carefully monitor introductions and compatibility. We do have a yard, but it is not fenced, so all outdoor time is supervised and on-leash. In your home: During our meet & greet, we’ll go over your pet’s routine in detail (feeding, potty breaks, walks, medication, etc.). I ask that any important care instructions are also listed in your pet’s Rover profile in writing, so everything is clear and consistent. I’m happy to follow your household routines as close as possible during the visit.
“Vanessa was perfect! She checked in on my cat daily while we were out town. She provided really detailed visit summaries with great pictures. I felt perfectly at ease with Vanessa making sure my cat had food, water, a clean litter box and some love. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was old enough to drive. I grew up with a house full of animals and have rescued several animals. I work evenings (two days from home, two days on-site in Akron) and have flexible days to allow for daytime walks or drop-ins and overnight stays. I do my best to communicate with the client to form a plan to best suit every pet and ensure the situation is as low-stress and high-fun for all involved!
About: Hi, I’m Sami! I’ve had dogs and cats throughout my entire life, and caring for animals is second nature to me. I currently have three dogs of my own, all different sizes and ages, so I’m very comfortable managing multi‑dog households, different temperaments, and unique routines. I also work daily with two dogs through my job and care for them whenever my boss travels, so I’m used to maintaining consistent schedule & feeding routines. I practice balanced training with my own dogs, focusing on clear communication, confidence‑building, and creating a safe, predictable atmosphere. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love getting to know each animal’s personality. Your pets will be treated like my own with love, respect, and lots of attention. I work only 3 days a week and can be available most mornings & evenings for feeding or walking/play time. I will try to make my schedule work around your pets needs. In your home I will make sure your pet is happy & safe. Also safe on walks as I like my own dogs to have structure and clear communication
About: Hi, I’m Aaliyah! You can look me up on Google Aaliyah’s Dobies and check out my reviews😉 Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up raising and showing rabbits and chickens through 4-H and have experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, small mammals, and farm animals. You name it, I either have it or love it. I am a dog breeder and have hands-on experience caring for newborn puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs. I’ve also interned at veterinary offices, volunteered at animal shelters, and helped rescue, foster, and socialize kittens for adoption. In addition to caring for healthy pets, I have extensive experience with orphaned, injured, and medically fragile animals. My background includes caring for bottle babies, syringe feeding, tube feeding, administering subcutaneous fluids, deworming, parasite treatment, basic wound care, and supporting animals through illness and recovery. I have also worked with feral kittens, helping them learn to trust people and transition into loving homes. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, I will tailor their care to their individual needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to provide a stress-free experience while you’re away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I am committed to providing compassionate, reliable care that gives owners peace of mind. BOARDING REQUIREMENTS Before booking, I ask that all dogs be up-to-date on their vaccines and current on flea and tick prevention. Please make sure your dog’s Rover profile is fully completed so I can provide the best care possible. For everyone’s safety, I only accept dogs that are friendly and do well around other dogs. If your dog is selective, reactive, or has shown aggression toward other animals, my home may not be the best fit. For your dog’s stay, please bring their food, vaccination records, and any medications they may need along with clear instructions. If your dog requires a crate for sleeping or when left alone, please bring one, as I do not currently provide crates. You’re welcome to bring a favorite bed or blanket to help your dog feel more at home, although I have plenty of beds and blankets available. You do not need to bring bowls unless your dog uses a slow feeder or a special bowl. I recommend leaving favorite toys or valuable items at home. Dogs love to play, and toys can sometimes get worn out or misplaced. Don’t worry though—I have plenty of toys and enrichment activities to keep everyone entertained! My goal is to make your dog’s stay as safe, comfortable, and fun as possible while giving you peace of mind when you’re away. I work from home, which allows me to provide flexible scheduling, frequent potty breaks, regular supervision, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Because I am home most of the time, pets receive companionship, exercise, and care tailored to their individual needs and routines. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own and take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special needs. I provide a calm, loving environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, exercise, and affection while maintaining the safety standards and instructions provided by each owner. If your pet has temperamental issues I’m happy to crate and rotate so they have individual time and I also have a building for boarding.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hills and Dales
We enjoyed meeting Mariah and she took fantastic care of both of our cats while we were gone on vacation. We had her come by twice a day to feed and play with Scooter and Kris. She stayed in touch with us with questions and photos. You can tell that she enjoys spending time with and taking care of animals. We will definitely be using Mariah’s services again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
