“Kimberly came to our apartment for drop-in checkups on my two cats for two weeks. She did a great job communicating and making sure the cats and apartment were well taken care of. She also showed that she was willing to go the extra mile to make sure they got everything they needed if necessary. We really appreciated her help and would hire her again for future help!”

“Crowe & Taylor were excellent! They took time to meet my pet before their initial booking, as well as went out of their way to check on him when it wasn’t expected. I could not have found better pet sitters for my baby! Highly recommend to anyone- great people!”

“Emma is so extremely helpful, and very thorough with taking care of our fur babies! 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Emma for being extra thoughtful and going above and beyond with your care!”

About: I grew up with dogs since I was about 4! I have a big family with lots of aunts and uncles that rely on me to take care of their dogs while they are gone on trips. I love getting to know pets with all different personalities. I work 8-5 five days a week with rotating days. I go straight back to your home after work and am able to spend the rest of the night with your pets. I have a lunch in the middle of the work day I can check on the pets depending on distance. I am easy to reach outside of sleeping hours and can give any updates needed. I keep a close eye on your pets and keep in touch if anything seems out of the ordinary with them to take the best action.
“I am very thankful for Lexi. As first time user of Rover, she was professional and understanding throughout my adjustments and open to any of my questions. I have a happy kitty girl. Thanks again!”

“Ariah did a great job ❤️ & followed my instructions to my preference for my lab!, I was worried mainly about him getting his medication but she kept me at ease during my time away! I will definitely use her again 😁. THANK YOU AGAIN!”

“Kaylee did a great job with our cats while we were away. She was patient and waited for them to come to her, which I know they appreciated. She followed instructions and went the extra mile to make sure the cats were happy. We will definitely request her again and recommend her to others!”

“It's always such a joy to work with Taysha. She's been cat sitting for both my disabled cats for about 2 years and has been awesome! My go-to sitter and highly recommend to anyone in town looking for a caring, thorough caretaker.”

“Liz was excerpt coming over to our home each day to check in on Sophie and feed her and give her some attention. Liz was very responsive each time I reached out to her and went above and beyond in bringing our mail in and watering our plants while we were on vacation. We really appreciate her driving so far to come do home visits for our cat who gets too stressed in other people’s homes or at boarders.”

“Aubrey did a wonderful job watching over our cats again while we were away. We have an elderly cat with some simple medications that was well taken care of. All 3 of our cats were loved and played with each visit. We are very happy with Aubrey's services, including updates and cleanups.”
About: I really like animals, I am very patient and I have experience taking care of pets of my family, friends and now Rover!! , I have a very flexible schedule, I can do anything the pet owner needs for them. And I have a lot available days, if I am not at home because I work part time as a CNA now , my husband will be there and watch them! We have different schedules and and I am pretty much at home studying online!! Your dogs never would be alone 😊 I can work walking your pets, taking care of them in the client's home, buying and leaving things that the pet needs and any other different service you need we could talk about it.
“Jayda was absolutely amazing! She sent me pictures and updates on my animals! You can tell she really cares about animals. She even brought in a package left on my porch. I would definitely invite her to watch my animals again ❤️ if I ever need to.”

About: I’ve had dogs for my whole life. Ever since I was little I was taking care of them, feeding them, taking them on walks, and playing with them. I love spending time with dogs and playing around with them. At one point, I had 4 dogs in my house growing up, so I can handle if you have a few pets. Ive had older dogs and puppies, so I’m experienced in taking care of both. Right now, I have open availability. I’m available to drop by when needed or stay as long as I need to ensure your pets are properly taken care of. The apartment I’m living at is currently pet free, but growing up I had a fenced in back yard for our pets to run around in. We also would put them in their crate when we needed to go somewhere. I also have dog sat for people who did not have a fence, so when it came time for the dogs to go outside, I would put them on a leash.
About: Pets are members of our family, and our family deserves to be taken care of. I absolutely adore animals, I have pets of my own, and they are my whole world. I have an adorable Maltese named Fizzgig and a Black Cat named Thackery Binx. Prior to this dog, I had a Maltese named Tinkerbell. I just want to be able to care for other animals as I have cared for mine. We all have responsibilities that keep us away from home most days, and we want to be sure our little fur babies are well-cared for in our absence. I can promise you that I will provide to their every need, and maybe even spoil them a little bit! I’m a published author, and I spend way too much time locked up inside writing. I need to get out and walk and have a break from the soul-sucking experience of sitting in front of the screen all day. I hate sitting idle. I have too much energy. Dogs have too much energy. It's a perfect match! I need something else to keep me moving in a day, and playing with precious animals seems like the perfect job! I can crate or leash dogs to ensure they will not run away, and if your cat is exclusively a house cat, I am well accustomed to keeping those quick felines from darting outdoors.
“Brooke had great communication during drop in visits for our kitty! She was also patient with our shy guy and allowed him time to come out and investigate on his own. We knew our kitty was in great hands while we were out of town!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hill Air Force Base
Lisa is a wonderful animal caretaker! She took very thorough notes and asked great questions, it was very clear early on that she is experienced with animal caretaking. Our cat, Shishi, is elderly, battling IBD, needs several oral medications and is a feisty gal. We went on a 6 day backcountry river trip and knew we needed someone experienced to care for her while we were away. Lisa administered all Shishi’s medications with no issues, fed her the very specific meal regimen that Shi is on, kept her company, and cleaned up after Shishi had several diarrhea accidents outside of the litter box. Lisa communicated well and sent many cute pictures. In short — Lisa is a rockstar, we will definitely hire her again and highly recommend her!

We couldn’t have asked for better pet sitters! While we were on vacation, they took amazing care of our two dogs and cat, sending us lots of pictures every visit and keeping us updated daily so we always knew how everyone was doing. They went above and beyond, even vacuuming up pet messes and making sure our home stayed tidy. Knowing our pets were in such loving, capable hands gave us complete peace of mind the whole time we were away. We can’t thank them enough and would trust them anytime to watch our pets. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
