“Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. It felt great knowing that Rudy was in good hands and having an amazing day. When I picked Rudy up, he was sad to leave! Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. I would absolutely be comfortable leaving Rudy with Shadid again and am so grateful that I found her. If you love your dog and don’t know which sitter will be best, contact Shadid!! Your dog will have the best day and you’ll feel great knowing he/she is in good hands! From a professional standpoint, Shadid is excellent. I’m in medical school and was taking an exam during Rudy’s stay, so it was important to me that the sitter be professional. Shadid was perfect. She responds quickly and is completely reliable. About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 2 year old and 5 year old and infant. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and barn cats. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, as well as worked in animal care. Professionally, i have experience as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler. I boarded dogs while attending college in Richmond, and took a break to focus on my career. Now that I have more free time I’d like to start up again as I absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash an Australian Shephard and Littles a mutt. Both love to play!! Cash is a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 14 and recently lost his sight, he’ll try and keep up with Cash but mostly he just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy in their late twenties, too many chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

About: I fell in love with pet sitting when I watched Penny the dog in 2017 for a week while her owners traveled to New York. Since then, I have watched Cornell the cat for a week, Naveen the cat for four months, Apollo the cat for 1 month, and Jenny the dog on a regular basis. I enjoy getting to know the pets personailities when they stay with me and the quirks they have. Each pet is lovely to care for during the time period I have them and great company for what can become a mundane day. I would love to have the opportunity to provide the best care for your pet through daily walks, brushing them, keeping to their food schedule, making sure they have water and providing medicine if the animal takes medicine. And of course additional love and attention. I work from home full-time so the pet will get lots of walks/attention throughout the day. I am usually home, so if boarding the pet I will be there for the time and attention the pet requires. I prefer to have the pets stay with me, I am easily able to greet them in the morning, feed and provide fresh water then walk the pet before I start my work day. The pet will get another walk during my lunch break and an evening walk. With cats, they like to watch me work and get pets when they want some loving. Most of the pets like to watch tv with me as well.

About: Hello! While I don’t have any specific training on animals I grew up with a variety of pets all my life. I’m fond of our furry companions and have learned their needs and special requirements tailored to their unique personalities. I have a lot of downtime and can provide cuddles and or distance. I’ve never struggled with any pet, I enjoy offering extra care and even have a grooming station if needed. I love to be active as well so walking wont be a problem. I work from home for now. I do have appointments throughout the week sometimes but do not take longer than 2 hours. I wake up early and sleep late for potty break needs. I’m usually done with work around 2 and can take them to a park after or on the weekends. In my home I can crate dogs if preferred or let them roam freely at my place. My apartment complex has a little dog park and plenty of walking trails around the neighborhood for exercising needs. During our outings I will avoid other pets just for safety reasons. I have my own car that can be used for emergencies or longer trips to better pet friendly parks. They can sleep anywhere they’d like. If in your home, I will carefully do exactly as you say/request. About: I work at a veterinary emergency room, had my own dog sitting business where word of mouth was my only marketing for over a decade. Since I was 7 years old I have been watching dogs and cats from tea cup chihuahuas to Saint Bernards, walking, feeding, playing, ensuring their safety, and sleeping with them. I also stay up a little late so the puppies usually get one extra night time walk around 11:30 or 12, wake up around 6:30 or 7 am to do our morning walk and breakfast. I always ask questions to learn any routines that the family follows, I stick to those routines. At my home, we have two very friendly dogs that love to play. We go for walks in the woods and at the school, if allowed we go to dog parks, and we have snuggle time. At the families house, I always ask what the family does and try to see if there is a nice area to walk there or if they have a fenced in yard and want to play fetch, etc.
