“This is the second time I've used Nithya for my dog Millie. I was a little nervous the first time because Millie is only about 20 pounds, and Koda is a big Husky, but, true to Nithya's profile, Koda is very well behaved. Now there is also Snowy who is also very friendly. I think Millie and Snowy had fun together, and Koda made sure they were behaving themselves. Nithya was great at keeping me informed about how Millie was doing. Millie is a snuggler, and, thankfully Nithya let her snuggle as much as she wanted. “Ameneh and Niki went far above and beyond while sitting our Shiba Inu during January 2026. We had not one but three plane cancellations due to the large winter storm resulting us being unable to pick up our dog for an entire week longer than expected. Ameneh was very flexible and highly responsive to messages, assuring us that our boy would be well cared for despite our delay and sending frequent pictures. Most significantly, our dog suffers from seizures and takes medicine to prevent them - when he ran out of seizure medication, Ameneh and Niki traveled to our house and retrieved more medication. I would undoubtedly recommend them to care for your pet as they will make every effort to keep your pet safe and happy; even in extremely extenuating circumstances!”

About: I have many years of experience working with animals not only from having them in my home since I was a child and owning them myself. I currently work and have worked at several jobs with different animals that were paid, internships, and volunteer. I own or have owned, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, goats, and mini pigs. When I was in my senior year of high school, I only had 1 class left to take to graduate and the rest of the time I interned at the local veterinary clinic. After being there for 3 days, they offered me a job. I worked there in the evenings after school. I was able to participate in routine and emergency appointments, observe surgeries, and assist with a variety of laboratory test, such as blood tests. I volunteered at the local animal shelter where I ensured they had a clean and healthy environment for rehabilitation by cleaning cages and had toys for enrichment. I also socialized dogs, and cats in the shelter, by taking them for walks and playing with them and I volunteered at two different rescues, one was for horse rescue and the other for parrots. When I graduated high school, during college I volunteered at the local humane society where I aided in the socialization of stray, abused, abandoned, and surrendered cats and dogs. I currently work part-time as an Animal Control Officer in another state where I perform investigations, explain local laws, codes, and ordinances relating to the care and control of animals and issue citations for violations. I capture stray and unlicensed animals, transport injured animals and provide for their care. I also maintain records and reports related to work performed. I currently volunteer at a local animal shelter where I assist with caring for the dogs, cats, and small animals. I am willing to work with any animal. Caring for them is my true passion. About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

For the past 17 years I’ve had my sweet bichon/yorkie mix brother and sister (Harry and Bella), and now an 5 yo Chocolate Lab named Blu. Our dogs get along with dogs of ALL sizes. I have a fenced in backyard and and 10 year old loves to run around with the dogs and help me on walks. If you prefer walks be added to the backyard play, we have a great walk to the neighborhood park or local trails. This is especially important to us as we know how crowded boarding facilities can be (AND sometimes sitters’ homes) and the stress this can cause on dogs. After booking, I still ensure that all dogs get properly introduced to each other (first outside on a leash, then through a gate barrier, and finally without barriers). I’m fond of our furry companions and have learned their needs and special requirements tailored to their unique personalities. I have a lot of downtime and can provide cuddles and or distance. I’ve never struggled with any pet, I enjoy offering extra care and even have a grooming station if needed. I love to be active as well so walking wont be a problem. I work from home for now. I do have appointments throughout the week sometimes but do not take longer than 2 hours. I wake up early and sleep late for potty break needs. I’m usually done with work around 2 and can take them to a park after or on the weekends. In my home I can crate dogs if preferred or let them roam freely at my place. My apartment complex has a little dog park and plenty of walking trails around the neighborhood for exercising needs. During our outings I will avoid other pets just for safety reasons. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and an outside cat. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash a one year old Australian Shepherd and Littles a 15 year old Boston terrier mix. Both love to play!! Cash is still a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 15 and recently lost his sight He’ll try to keep up with Cash but mostly just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy (the love of my life) in their late twenties, some chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. Including injections I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

I currently also co-parent a senior cat who requires medication morning and night. I'm consistent and can handle medication resistant pets with gentle care. About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience taking care of animals as small as fish to as big as horses. I’ve also taken care of old dogs with special health needs and puppies. Just moved to the area so looking to pick up some new clients as I look for a more full time job. I was a little nervous the first time because Millie is only about 20 pounds, and Koda is a big Husky, but, true to Nithya's profile, Koda is very well behaved. “Ameneh and Niki went far above and beyond while sitting our Shiba Inu during January 2026. We had not one but three plane cancellations due to the large winter storm resulting us being unable to pick up our dog for an entire week longer than expected. Ameneh was very flexible and highly responsive to messages, assuring us that our boy would be well cared for despite our delay and sending frequent pictures. Most significantly, our dog suffers from seizures and takes medicine to prevent them - when he ran out of seizure medication, Ameneh and Niki traveled to our house and retrieved more medication. I would undoubtedly recommend them to care for your pet as they will make every effort to keep your pet safe and happy; even in extremely extenuating circumstances!”

My dog has been part of my family since he was a lil pup. He's been a great addition to our family, very gentle and mellow. Also very good with other animals and people alike. He's shown me the joys of having him in our lives. While I can't have more dogs I would love to take care of yours. I'm sure my Jordan would also love the company. I am generally great with dogs and they seem to love me as well. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. About: I have cared for all sorts of animals from Raccoons to horses over the past 50 years. I have run my own horse farm and had dogs and cats along the way. I know the signs of distress, can handle emergencies, administer medications and enjoy being with and caring for animals. I have nursed our older fur-babies and understand the needs of seniors. We also understand and work with positive reinforcement training with our animals, which they find very fun to engage with. Several years ago, we lost our large (great pyrenees cross) at nearly 17 years old! Our other dog, Winnie, recently passed away and I miss her company, as my kids are grown and my "baby" is off at college. and I thought Rover might be a way to be a win-win. I sold our horse farm about 7 years ago, and our remaining horses live at a stable nearby. I do have one house cat that lives with me. We live on 2 fenced in acres which back up to the Magruder Branch Trail. Along with walks along the street, we can also take your dog on the trail for lots of sniffs and sounds. We will feed and medicate them as requested. My husband is retired, I am semi retired and my oldest son has graduated, so someone is almost always in the house to let your dog in and out, play and walk as needed. To ensure the safety and compatibility of our pets and yours, we require a "meet and greet" prior to agreeing to host your dog. I am unable to accommodate dogs who are not house trained or who are aggressive or destructive. I currently work part time with my horses 10 minutes away. My husband has early onset dementia and now lives in assisted living. I have a 19 year old son who attends UCLA and will be home for the summer. We both love to hike and have trails right behind our 2 acre property. I am home a lot during the day (and night) and would love to play, walk and snuggle with your dog! Our 2 acre yard is completely fenced. We have had dogs safely secured for years. Our animals are family, and they generally have run of the house. Our cat likes to sleep on the beds, but we tend to let the dogs sleep on the dog bed, floor or couch of their choosing. There are no stairs to get out to the yard, so it is easy access for an older dog. I gave away all of Winnie's dog toys when she passed away so you would need to bring some for your dog during your stay. But we would not have to worry about any doggie arguments! My home is a non-smoking household. I am able to administer medications such as pills, eye ointments, IM and subQ injections, etc. I also have training in T-touch and Positive Reinforcement training.
