About: It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover. I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit. I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. Between having shy dogs of my own and volunteering at the animal shelter, I give dogs space and allow them time to sniff and warm up to me before we go out. I’ll take your lead as to things I need to know about what makes your dog’s personality shine.

About: I have had pets in my life since before I could walk. My oldest personal pet is a 21 yr old cat I've had since she was 4 weeks old. I have spent the majority of the past 7 years heavily involved in animal rescue. I've volunteered at humane societies, taken part in TNR programs and continue to rescue any animal that crosses my path. Currently I have multiple families who's animals I pet sit for. I have a vast knowledge in regards to both cats and dogs and their many needs, from neonates to senior care; I've done it all. I currently work from 12-4 Monday-Friday at my family business. My schedule is very open/flexible to any needs your pet may require. On weekends I work at a horse barn for around an hour in the afternoon. Other than the short time I am there my weekends are very open. I have 5 rescue cats of my own, all with varying care levels. My knowledge and level of care for my personal pets will help me to meet all of you and your pets' needs!

About: Taking care of animals has always come very naturally to me! As a child I liked to run around the farm I lived on searching for kittens and petting horses. As someone who has loved and nurtured many of my own pets over the years, I naturally gravitated towards taking care of others beloved fur children. I have knowledge of different diets and have had both cats and dogs on raw diets as well as standard diets. I also have experience with senior animals, and their special needs. I started out helping friends or parents of friends when they would travel and have now found myself offering services to others and growing my business. I absolutely love pet sitting and helping families feel comfortable as they travel or are at work for the day. When I am at your home I make sure to not only nurture and love on your pets but to take care of your space. I offer daily updates if preferred and collect mail, keep things tidy, etc. I am able to give some medicine if required and enjoy the company of all ages of animals. I offer pet sitting at your home Monday-Sunday with a flexible schedule. I am available for drop ins and overnight stays. My main focus is pet sitting. When staying with your pet or even just dropping in, I can feed, play, crate, or give some meds to your pet if necessary. I am able to take walks or run around for a bit in the back yard. My goal is to always make the pet and the owner feel as comfortable as possible while maintaining a normal routine where necessary. I ask that owners leave detailed instructions so I can accommodate your animals as best as possible. I also request that any cameras in the home be notified to myself before I stay and I like to be clear that my partner may sometimes stay with me for overnights.

Offer flexible scheduling and open to repeat appointments. Born and raised in Lewes, I recently moved back to my parents’ while I look for a new job. Dog sitting and walking is an enjoyable side hustle, as I love dogs and have an open schedule. Setting expectations and outlining care practices in advance are key for dog sitting and walking. I like to speak with pet owners over the phone or in person when first taking on a job (and am happy to meet a dog in advance to ensure we are a personality fit). Every pet and pet owner has different needs and accommodations, so I approach each appointment with an open mind and willingness to help.

About: Dog whisperer for all ages and types 🫶! Blessed with a Puerto Rican mixed pup who has been calling me “mom” for 18 years now. I am also very good with high energy puppies as well as older dogs with extra considerations or disabilities. I genuinely love to care for dogs on my time off :) !! I work primarily as a registered nurse, but I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule I and will always try to accommodate ! I treat dogs I care for as if they’re my own, and I love learning their own quirks and needs. Open communication with the dogs’ owners is key to making sure everything is taken care of.

About: I have taken care of dogs and puppies for both family and family friends ever since I was 16! I have done both dog walks as well as overnight stays. Your dogs comfort and well being is very important to me so I will treat them as my own! I have assisted in training a few puppies in the past so I do have a little bit of experience in that if it is a need or just something you want a little assistance with! I am currently working full time but about to switch to part- time as the fall and winter seasons approach! I am available for both overnight stays as well as either morning or evening visits or play dates. On my days off I am available for all day pet stays if that is something a client would be interested in! I prefer to care for pets within the comfort of their own home since they are already used to the environment and their surroundings! I treat the pet and clients home with the most utmost respect and care maintaining the previous state of the home.

About: Since I was raised on the farm as a child, I've come to respect and love all types of animals. Also, having helped foster/find homes for over 25 dogs in the last couple years, has only heightened my passion for helping animals. I currently work 4 days a week as a server in a popular downtown restaurant. My average work day does not start until 4pm which leaves me completely open almost every morning ! In my own house, my pets are my life. That being said, I take pride in being as knowledgeable, conscience and affectionate as I can be with them. I will bring you peace of mind and ease with updates & pictures of your pet while you’re away , I am here to help on anything you need & will provide the best care, love & attention throughout the time they’re with me. I'm retired and I am available to watch your dog at your home or walk your dog Monday - Sunday. I have a car, so I am able to drive to your home to walk your dog several times a day if need be. Please let me know at least 1 day ahead of time if you need me to stay overnight. House sitting: Please leave me detailed instructions on how I can take care of your dog (i.e., if they have a particular place where they use the bathroom, what treats they like, do they have a favorite toy, do they like to play). Please also let me know if they have any triggers. Walks: Please let me know if there is a particular place your dog prefers to use the bathroom. I am able to take the dog to the dog park after I meet the dog a couple of times to ensure they are able to listen to me if I ask them to come to me to defuse a situation.
