About: It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover. I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit. I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. I started pet sitting for a family I used to nanny for about 10 years ago and love caring for our families dogs. My husband and I got our own fur baby 3 years ago, a 100lb Chesapeake Bay Retriever, named Buoy. I make sure that every house I leave looks the same as it did when I enter, that includes making sure trash is taken out and dishes are out of the sink! I’ve dog sat pups from 8 weeks to 13 years and from the size of a teacup poodle to a 100 pound boxer, and I treat every one like my own. I also am very familiar with cats, my brother has 2, I love them just the same! I am working local to Lewes! My times for during the week would be before 9am and anytime after 5pm. I’m very comfortable doing overnights as well! I am currently in a 3 bedroom apartment, with my husband and our dog. We would be more than happy to allow any fur baby into our place. About: I’ve cared for a medium sized mutt for 9 years. So I’m capable of handling any age. Neighbors and family have relied on me to walk and care for puppies too, such as boxers and Australian shepherds and pit bulls I love to wake up early in the morning to get my day started. I usually take my dog on an early morning walk, then again after lunch, and one more time before bed. Excluding the time that he is allowed in the backyard too. Walks include in the neighborhood, the woods, and he loves carousel park! My dog is older and very well behaved so we let him out in our large backyard that has woods attached, however we may also tie him up on the line.

“Bob and Susan are the best. They truly care about their four legged guests! Knowing that our dog was loved and cared for just as we would do, put us,at ease while we were away for the week. They both got to know our dog and his routine. We looked forward each day to the daily pictures and texts. Thank you for the great care you gave Baxter while we were away. I think he misses you and his buddy Bert!”

She took great care of our dog for three nights and sent us pictures at the end of each day, totally unexpected. Besides being great with animals she is just a great person. “AMAZING! Lacey absolutely loved being with Marvina and the entire group of new best friends! She played so hard every day that she literally collapsed every night and slept like a rock! It's so good to have her socialize with so many different types of animals! She doesn't even get opportunities to socialize with just dogs. BEST medicine ever. Marvina is an amazing individual. I don't know how she does it with the entire group of pets she has - but she always looks like it is just another day in paradise! What a wonderful woman. She loves our dog and treats her like one of the family. I can't imagine taking Lacey anywhere else!”

“Oh my gosh, what a wonderful experience for my dog and myself. This was the first time that my dog, Caera, spent time (3 nights) with a non-family member. From the time I made the booking, we met briefly with Neena, and throughout her booking, Neena kept the lines of communication open, via text and pics! I absolutely would re-book with Neena, as Caera seemed to enjoy her stay; and I love the fact that I have found an outstanding alternate caregiver for Caera.”

“We’re new to the area and needed a dog sitter for our pup, Piper—and I’m so glad we found Michelle! She was super friendly right from the first message and offered to do a meet and greet, which immediately put us at ease. Piper took to her right away! During her stay, Piper had an absolute blast. Michelle went above and beyond—she even took Piper on her boat (with my ok, of course!), made her homemade treats (always double-checking ingredients with me first), and ended the stay with a fun little crabbing adventure and a relaxing bath. For a New York dog, this trip was full of firsts! It’s such a relief to find someone I can fully trust with my girl. I’ve already booked Michelle for our next vacation. 5 stars all the way!
