About: I had a dog as a child. I have had dogs for over 35 years. They are great company and a great addition to any family. I am retired. My time would be totally devoted to spending time with your pet(s). I look forward to giving you the comfort that your pets are well-cared for while you are not home. My pets at home are pretty spoiled. They are not crated and we play inside and outside. Whatever the owners require is what I will do. Unfortunately, my most recent dog died of cancer. I miss her; but look forward to taking good care of other people’s pets.
“Kat is the best! She’s prompt, professional, and you can tell she really loves the animals she works with. Ruby was thrilled to have you back for a few weeks! Thank you so much!”

“I can't thank Sam enough for the amazing communication and great care he takes of Meilah when he comes to let her out. My neighbors say he is great allowing her to sniff around and go potty. She is always very relaxed when we get home from work.”

I have also helped take care of pets for many family members & friends over the past years. I enjoy giving people the peace of mind knowing that their animals are safe! About: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give every animal as if they were my own. I have hands-on experience caring for pets through managing homes and vacation rentals, along with volunteering for animal shelters and farms in Wisconsin, where I worked with animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with senior pets, shy or anxious animals, administering basic routines, and keeping pets on a consistent schedule. I’m very detail-oriented, dependable, and communicative, so pet parents always know their animals are safe, loved, and well cared for while they’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and manage my own schedule, which gives me a lot of flexibility and availability throughout the day. I’m able to provide consistent attention, walks, playtime, feeding schedules, potty breaks, and companionship instead of pets being left alone for long periods. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so caring for them feels like a rewarding part of my routine rather than just a job. I also keep my schedule organized and communicate well with pet parents so they always feel informed and comfortable while they’re away. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions carefully while giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, affection, and supervision. I also make sure the home stays clean, secure, and well cared for while owners are away. Because I work from home and manage my own schedule, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, companionship, and check-ins throughout the day instead of pets being left alone for long periods. I have experience with animals of different temperaments through volunteering with animal shelters and farms in Wisconsin, so I’m comfortable caring for energetic pets, shy animals, and senior pets that may need extra patience and attention.
“This was my first time getting a dog walker and was really worried as I have a strong reactive pitbull mix. But Katryna did great and I would recommend. She did multiple walks a day for four days and took good care of my dog. She was also very communicative throughout.”

“Abigail is so great that we booked her for reoccurring dog walks throughout the week. She is trustworthy, reliable and takes good care of my dog for his afternoon walks while I'm at work by tracking his potty habits, treats and refills bowl with fresh water. We are very happy to have found her. It's such a relief knowing that our dog is well taken care.”

“Brooke was great! She responded super quickly even though I had a last minute emergency booking and she was great at sending pictures and updates on the walks. Thank you so much!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hatfield
We just had our second meet-and-greet with Kim, and we are already impressed! She was very professional, punctual and took the time to ask questions about Duke’s routine and personality. You can tell Kim loves animals and Duke warmed up instantly. We feel completely confident in booking with Kim again for our future dog walking needs and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet caregiver!

Emily was absolutely amazing from the first meet and greet to our last walks with her! She’s very attentive and truly listens and understands the individual dog’s needs. She provides wonderful picture updates where I can see how happy Nubbs truly was during his time with her. I was completely at ease knowing my dog was in such great hands and he was being cared for as if he was her own. So glad to have found Emily and would hire her again anytime!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
