About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Chandrika was incredibly kind and attentive with our little baby, Cheese. From the very beginning, she was responsive, detailed, and organized. She even set up a meet-and-greet to make sure it was a good fit. I truly believe dogs are more perceptive than people, so I pay close attention to how Cheese reacts to others, and she immediately took to Chandrika. During the stay, Chandrika was amazing. She kept us updated with frequent messages and plenty of pictures. Cheese also has a special allergy diet with specific instructions, and Chandrika followed everything to a tee, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Even though Cheese can be shy and a bit fearful when she is away from us, which sometimes affects her willingness to walk, Chandrika still managed to take her out three times. On top of that, she went the extra mile and neatly bagged all of Cheese’s waste before finishing. All in all, it was an outstanding experience. I know it can feel nerve-wracking to choose a sitter when you love your dog so much, but with Chandrika, you can rest easy knowing your pet will receive exceptional care.
