About: My pet care journey began at just 11 years old, when my sister and I started raising dairy goats on our parents' farm. It soon became clear that animal sitting was a huge need, especially in the farming community. Eventually, I began accepting jobs, and have since gained experience with both drop-in visits and overnight stays. Whether you have a Teacup Poodle or a Great Pyrenees, I'm committed to providing the best possible care for your animal friend. Oh, and I can even water the plants, too! I work part-time with a fairly flexible schedule, so I'm able to find plenty of time to care for your furry friends, especially if you're looking for weekend care. How much time I spend directly with your pets depends on their specific needs, and I'm always happy to provide enrichment like walking and tossing their favorite frisbee. I provide care in my clients' homes because I have animals as well. I can do overnight pet sitting as well as dog walking. I'm also open to long-term stays if you're looking to take a more lengthy vacation.

“Jessica is just wonderful. This is the 2nd time she has watched our precious Abby and I couldn't have been happier. She takes excellent care of her and communicates with us and we never have to worry. She goes above and beyond and gives Abby tons of snuggles and playtime. Couldn't ask for a better sitter and Abby loves her to pieces!”

“Cheryl is so wonderful. My dogs love her (even my picky Chihuahua). She is reliable, kind, trustworthy and truly loves animals. If you have Cheryl as your sitter your fur babies will be spoiled and happy.”

“Christy was great! We will book with her in the future for sure. She did drop-in visits for my 2 cats. I loved all the pictures and updated I received.”

“Esther has been doing drop-in visits for our Bichon since early 2024. She is so dependable, knowledgeable and kind to our Lucy, and I cannot sing her praises enough. We willl be moving but if we ever are back in the area and need a pet sitter, Esther will be the first person I call. Thankful for all her help.”

Violet T.
“I have a senior 10 yr. old Golden Doodle and a 3-1/2 yr. old Aussie Doodle (both standard size). For two years now we have used Violet Thorne many times for house/dog sitting, and she is absolutely the best! I never have to worry about my dogs when she stays with them, and they are extremely happy. My senior dog gets highly nervous when staying at a boarding place, but when Violet keeps them at home, the pics she sends to me shows me that both are extremely happy. My friends in the community have used her for dogs, cats, chickens, and other various livestock, and her experience growing up with farm animals proves she is well trained as to their needs and loves working with them. Violet will continue to be our go-to sitter! I recommend Violet to anyone needing a sitter for their animals.”
