“Joseph & Corbintook amazing care of our four fur babies. Two dogs & two cats. One cat needed daily medication. They made me feel at ease knowing they were so well cared for. I would highly recommend them to care for your loved fur babies. 🩷”

“Cara was an excellent dogsitter. She communicated well, sent great photos, and made sure my older dog Cosmo was comfortable. He loved being able to sit on the couch and the bed :) We would definitely have Cosmo return to Cara's again in the future.”

“I can not say enough how lucky I am to have found Ashley and her family. I wont ever leave my dog with anyone else. They treated her like family and I got everyday messages and videos which I loved. I got to see her running around their yard playing with their dog and cuddled in bed watching movies with them as a family like we would at home. I was able to go on vacation for 7 days and know that I left my baby in the best possible hands. Their love of dogs and amazing yard sold me instantly. They put all my worries to rest knowing I was leaving her with a loving family not in a kennel. Anyone’s dog would be lucky to stay with them. Absolutely positive experience for me and my dog!”

“Emily took great care of our two older dogs. After our initial meet and greet we felt comfortable leaving our girls in her care. We loved the daily updates and many pictures she sent and they came back to us happy and relaxed. We would definitely book Emily again in the future.”

“Jessica did great with the dogs and keeping me updated! They went on multiple hikes a day and came back to me tired. She was also very understanding and flexible surrounding pick up and drop off times”

“Michele was the perfect host for our goldendoodle while we were in the area for graduation weekend. Based on the photos she sent me, he appeared to enjoy looking at the wildlife out her windows, going for walks with her dog and stretching out on her sofa. Michele was very flexible about drop off and pickup times as well. A great experience for everyone!”

“Kevin & Inez took such good care of our girl last minute when our care plan fell though. She had so much fun playing with their dogs, and came back very happy. Highly recommended!”

“Hannah was great! This was our first time leaving our dog, Taco, with her, and it was for 5 days. We were of course nervous leaving him with someone new for so long, but as soon as we walked through her door, we were reassured he was going to be in great care! She kept us updated with photos throughout, and it was clear he was treated like part of the family during that time. Taco is excited to visit again!”

“I have never been able to travel without my husky mix because of his high anxiety, until we met Greta! We received tons of pictures of him, napping, cuddling with the family, and going out on three amazing walks a day. It’s a beautiful quiet location and Greta is a true dog person. I’m planning all my trips around her in the future.”

“Steve is awesome! He’s so nice and really knows his stuff when it comes to dogs. He sent lots of photos and kept us updated throughout the stay, which made me feel great while Mango was with him. Mango had a really good time and came home happy and tired. We’ll definitely be booking with Steve again!”

“This was Mabel's first stay with Diana and we are very appreciative of how everything went. She was flexible and patient with our requests, shared reassuring pictures while we were away, and Mabel seemed relaxed and happy when we picked her up. Thank you, Diana!”
About: I have had dogs my whole life and am happy to care for your doggo. I currently have a 1 year old Golden Retriever and am well versed in both puppy and senior care. I’m a full time teacher on summer break, so have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve! I am home most of the day with occasional trips to the gym/store. I have a fenced yard and available sidewalks/trails for walks. I do have a 1 year old energetic Golden Retriever who is very friendly (maybe too friendly for some dogs) and a 2 year old Persian kitty who is skeptical of new animals
“Enzo can be a shy guy and a little nervous but Lauren did everything to make him feel comfortable including checking in with me, which I truly appreciate. He came home happy and tired and we would use Lauren again!”

About: Hi my name is Sean. I recently graduated from RIT with a BFA in illustration. I love all animals and currently have a lot of flexibility to care for your pets while I am working from home. I grew up with two labradoodles and I have also cared for friends' animals while they have been away. One of my dogs has Addison's disease, so I am familiar with giving medication to pets. Spending time with animals brings me joy and does not seem like work - I enjoy playing with your animals, going on walks and I give a great belly rub! I am extremely responsible and will love your animals like my own...you might also find some sketches of your pet when you return home. I am an artist that is currently working from home in Quechee. I am extremely flexible and am available during the week and on weekends. I make my own hours so can work around your schedule. I live with my parents and two friendly labradoodles ages 8 and 12. I could board a dog in my home if he/she gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained. I prefer to care for your animals in your own home: I can do drop-in visits, walks and daytime or overnight house-sitting.
“Susan & John are fantastic, they took great care of Oliver. He loved playing with Emily and all her toys. We’ll definitely be back for more doggie play dates!! Thankful for Sue being so flexible with late notice and timing.”

“Benjamin and Laura did such a wonderful job taking care our 4-year-old dog over a holiday weekend. They were professional, responsible, kind, and flexible. They were also very responsive, quickly responding to our questions/comments and sending frequent text updates and pictures, which really put us at ease while we were out of town. Our dog had a fantastic time with and got along well with their two dogs. We highly recommend Benjamin and Laura to anyone looking for a dogsitter in the area, and we would absolutely use them again the next time we're in need of a dogsitter. Thank you for everything!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hartland
Jill was so amazing with our two dogs! She went above and beyond making sure they had a wonderful time at her home. She was conscientious with introducing our dogs to her dogs, prepared them interactive treats, and sent us pictures every day. The also has a great backyard that our high-energy dogs loved. Our dogs clearly had a wonderful time with her and we won’t hesitate to have Jill watch them again.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
