âCara is the best dog sitter. Our Goldendoodle loved her stay so much, which I could tell by the daily pictures sent and communication from Cara. We look forward to more visits when/if we travel in the future!â

âI can not say enough how lucky I am to have found Ashley and her family. I wont ever leave my dog with anyone else. They treated her like family and I got everyday messages and videos which I loved. I got to see her running around their yard playing with their dog and cuddled in bed watching movies with them as a family like we would at home. I was able to go on vacation for 7 days and know that I left my baby in the best possible hands. Their love of dogs and amazing yard sold me instantly. They put all my worries to rest knowing I was leaving her with a loving family not in a kennel. Anyoneâs dog would be lucky to stay with them. Absolutely positive experience for me and my dog!â

âEmily is kind and caring. Funny too! We were impressed by her thoughtfulness with the humans as well -- thank you for the photos and the updates. My old dog's first stay with Emily will not be her last.â

âJessica did a superb job! Can't recommend her highly enough. She was fantastic with our dog, taking her on lots of hikes and other adventures. And she was a very thoughtful and responsive communicator. It was a pleasure working with her from start to finish. We're lucky to have such a wonderful dog sitter in our area!â

âKevin was great with our highly energetic dog, Archie! He was very communicative day to day! Archie spent 4 days having the time of his life on the homestead and came home dirty, tired and happy. If weâre ever in the area again, or if we were living there, they would be our go to! Thanks again!â

âHannah saved my wedding day!! Our scheduled dog sitter (not from Rover) cancelled on us two days before our out-of-state wedding, and Hannah not only filled in last minute, she might be our pups favorite personđ She is incredibly warm, they took to her immediately, and we were so grateful đ Got lots of photos of them just relaxing around her and were able to enjoy our wedding day stress free. Thanks so much, Hannah!!â

âMichelle was terrific! Ellie stayed with her for Thanksgiving weekend and came home happy and tired! She was well-loved and Michelle kept us updated with pics and videos⌠and was super responsive and proactive before and during the entire experience. Thank you Michelle!â

âAbsolutely wonderful experience, Greta sent pictures and updates ever night. Was just a great experience and would highly recommend if you need your fur baby taken care of. Thank you so much!!â

âSteve and Keely took amazing care of my 11-month old black lab Rain. Their lab Sabra and Rain became fast friends and played together constantly during her 2-day stay. Rain had plenty of room inside and had daily walks and outside time as well. Steve sent me photos and updates throughout her stay. I have already rebooked with Steve for a weeklong trip I am taking next week. I canât recommend him enough.â

âI canât recommend Diana highly enough! Our dog returned happy & healthy. He clearly had a great time with her (as evident in the frequent updates and his demeanor when we picked him up). Thank you, Diana <3â

About: Hi my name is Sean. I recently graduated from RIT with a BFA in illustration. I love all animals and currently have a lot of flexibility to care for your pets while I am working from home. I grew up with two labradoodles and I have also cared for friends' animals while they have been away. One of my dogs has Addison's disease, so I am familiar with giving medication to pets. Spending time with animals brings me joy and does not seem like work - I enjoy playing with your animals, going on walks and I give a great belly rub! I am extremely responsible and will love your animals like my own...you might also find some sketches of your pet when you return home. I am an artist that is currently working from home in Quechee. I am extremely flexible and am available during the week and on weekends. I make my own hours so can work around your schedule. I live with my parents and two friendly labradoodles ages 8 and 12. I could board a dog in my home if he/she gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained. I prefer to care for your animals in your own home: I can do drop-in visits, walks and daytime or overnight house-sitting.
âOur 4 year old Labradoodle started have anxiety at the kennels we brought him too. We tried Ben and Laura and it was a great experience. Goobah got along great with their beautiful dogs and loved being able to go on the furniture to get comfy. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful home for our buddy while we were away!!! We will definitely book in the future with you.â

Iâm a full time teacher on summer break, so have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve! I am home most of the day with occasional trips to the gym/store. I have a fenced yard and available sidewalks/trails for walks. I do have a 1 year old energetic Golden Retriever who is very friendly (maybe too friendly for some dogs) and a 2 year old Persian kitty who is skeptical of new animals
âSusan & John are fantastic, they took great care of Oliver. He loved playing with Emily and all her toys. Weâll definitely be back for more doggie play dates!! Thankful for Sue being so flexible with late notice and timing.â

âEnzo can be a shy guy and a little nervous but Lauren did everything to make him feel comfortable including checking in with me, which I truly appreciate. He came home happy and tired and we would use Lauren again!â

âOur pups recently had their second overnight with Meredith. She provides very honest feedback about their stays- the fact is, our pups would rather be with us than away from us. But we know they are safe and well cared for with Meredith. She is kind and consistent with them and we know they will settle in over time. We are very happy to have Meredith care for our dogs.â

Jill was so amazing with our two dogs! She went above and beyond making sure they had a wonderful time at her home. She was conscientious with introducing our dogs to her dogs, prepared them interactive treats, and sent us pictures every day. The also has a great backyard that our high-energy dogs loved. Our dogs clearly had a wonderful time with her and we wonât hesitate to have Jill watch them again.

The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in VT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
