They were so great with our dog and kept us updated throughout the weekend with photos and messages, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. You’re truly in great hands with these guys. And not to mention, their property is beautiful with plenty of space for the dogs to run around and play! We will absolutely be using Joseph and Corbin again in the future. Thanks so much, guys! About: I’ve loved dogs my whole life and grew up in a family with them, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life, and has informed our decisions on our land, with a fully fenced-in maintained & mowed yard of over half an acre, with plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and explore. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of friends, neighbors, and family, which has given me experience with different breeds, personalities, routines, and energy levels. My wife and I also have our own dog, Bunny, who has been with us since she was just 8 weeks old. She is truly part of our family—basically our daughter! We’ve put a great deal of time, attention, and love into raising her. She has attended multiple training classes, receives regular veterinary care and healthy meals, has more toys than she knows what to do with, and travels with us whenever possible. Because of these experiences, I’m comfortable caring for both large and small dogs and understand that every dog has different needs. I’m happy to adapt to your dog’s normal routine, whether that means energetic walks and playtime, trips to the dog park, practicing their training, or simply providing a calm and comfortable environment where they can relax. What I can especially offer is plenty of time and individual attention. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time with the dogs in my care. My wife is an AI scientist who works from home, so between the two of us, there is almost always someone around. Most importantly, we understand how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s care. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior, comfort, and wellbeing, and I’m happy to send regular photos and updates so you know how your dog is doing while you’re away. We would care for your fur baby with the same patience, attention, and affection that we give Bunny. We live on Farr Farm, a spacious former family farm. We have a fully fenced-in maintained & mowed yard of over half an acre, with plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and explore. The yard is roughly half shaded by large mature trees and half open and sunny, so dogs can choose where they’re most comfortable throughout any activity. We’ve also set up outdoor enrichment and play options, including tug and pull toys hanging from some of the trees, large herding balls, and plenty of open space for running and playing. For dogs who benefit from a little extra security outdoors, we also have an optional leash run. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me a very flexible schedule, and my wife is a medical research scientist who works from home. Between the two of us, we have plenty of time and space to give the dogs in our care lots of attention and companionship throughout the day. Our dog, Bunny, is extremely friendly and loves being around both people and other dogs. She’s playful, social, and always excited to make a new friend. Because we don’t want her to feel lonely, we regularly take her to the dog park so she can socialize and play with other dogs. Seeing how happy she is running around and making friends is actually one of the reasons we decided we’d love to welcome other dogs into our home. Pet care is already a big part of our everyday life, so having another dog around fits very naturally into our routine. We have the time, space, and flexibility to give our guest dogs plenty of attention, outdoor time, play, and companionship, while also giving Bunny a new friend to spend time with. I treat every pet as if they were my own. Before caring for a dog, I like to learn about their routine, personality, feeding schedule, medications, favorite activities, and any behaviors or triggers so I can keep their experience as familiar and stress-free as possible. On our property, when dogs are outside they’re either on a leash walking or in our enclosed large yard space, never bring left unsupervised. Dogs always have access to fresh water, and receive regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I keep a clean, pet-friendly environment and pay close attention to how each dog is feeling, especially during hot weather or after exercise. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I’ll follow all instructions carefully, keep the home clean and secure, and provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
“I was in town for a wedding and had to board my almost 5 month old puppy which was nerve wracking for me as he is quite young and a small dog. Hope took excellent care of my little guy and communicated often. She made me feel at ease and I would definitely recommend her.”

“I felt very comfortable, safe, and secure with my dog Tubbs in Abbie’s care. She has great communication, is kind and caring, and Tubbs was in the best mood when I picked him up (I’m not certain he wanted to leave!). Highly recommend, will definitely rebook!”

About: I have taken care of pets and have had pets for as long as I can remember. I have two dogs and three cats! My animals are my kids! I have worked hard with my dogs to train them, as well as, one of them being my service dog. I am currently unemployed and have plenty of time to give your pet lots of time, energy and love. I truly enjoy spending as much time with animals as I can My dogs are trained to be on and off leash. I will take care of your pet in whatever way you feel is best for your pet and per your instructions.
“Benjamin and Laura did a fantastic job watching our 4-year-old Bernedoodle for 10 days. They were responsible, kind, quick to respond, and flexible around ideal drop off and pick up times. They sent regular updates and pictures, which gave us peace of mind that our dog was enjoying her time (playing, walking, resting). She also got along very well with their two dogs. I definitely would trust Benjamin and Laura to watch our dog for a future trip.”

Cara was amazing with our Saint Berdoodle Lizzie! She was so understanding of her energetic, playful puppy personality! She sent us pictures and videos while we were away, which gave us peace of mind. Lizzie came home happy, and we were so appreciative that Cara took such great care of her, especially on such short notice.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Balloch home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Balloch.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Balloch sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
