“Alexis was amazing & I will absolutely be using again! She did 1 hour drop-in visits for my 2 kitties for 8 days & went above & beyond my expectations. This was the first time I’ve ever had to leave them for an extended period of time, so it was also the first time I’ve had to hire someone to help take care of them, so I was pretty nervous. She came over ahead of time to get acquainted with them & myself, stayed in constant communication while I was gone, sent me lots of pictures & updates, & most impressive- got one of my babies to be snuggly & loving with her which is incredible considering their normal disposition around new people (hiding be pretty hissy/unfriendly). That alone let me know just how amazing she is with animals! When I came home their litter boxes were clean, their food & water were full, & they were both perfect condition. I’m so grateful for Alexis & how well she took care of my kitties while I was gone. I knew they were safe & well cared for which made being away from them 1,000 times easier! She will be my number 1 go-to anytime I need someone to take care of my cats in the future!”

About: At Williamson Animal Care and Control I volunteered walking dogs. I also received significant training in dog behavior and dog walking. After retiring from my career, I started my pet sitting and dog walking career. I took care of a rescued Great Pyrenees multiple times during the week and frequently overnight trips for over two years. I recently moved back to the Fort Wayne area from Franklin, TN. Three of my previous dog clients have shown interest in having me come back to stay with their dogs when they’re out of town for more than a couple days. Pet sitting and dog walking are my primary responsibilities along with taking care of my two cats. I have a very flexible and available schedule. I take pride and making sure that the client’s home is as good if not better when I entered. I will walk the dog, feed or treat, make sure the water bowl is full and also if appropriate snuggles.

I've been blessed to retire early after an extensive career in different areas, one being prior work experience in the pet industry. I had plenty of experience with veterinarian offices throughout NE Indiana. But, the favorite titles I wear proudly are mom and dog mom and wife to my husband. Throughout the years I've had my heart full of animals -dogs being my speciality and of all sizes, breeds and characteristics. I am dependable, reliable and honest. And I’m easy to communicate with. I have been blessed to retire early after an extensive career in different areas, one being prior work in the pet care industry with plenty of trainings with several veterinarian clinics throughout NE Indiana. Your pet kid will be monitored 24/7 inside my home and outside of my home. As I do this with my own pet children. Throughout the years I've had my heart full of animals - dogs being my speciality of all sizes and breeds. While, also having some of the best cats in the mix of my dogs I care for them with all my background knowledge I've learned over the years of caring for and loving my dog babies. My home is always nice and tidy and so is my backyard. I keep their environment very tidy. I have a fenced in yard. My two dogs are never unsupervised during rain, snow or heat. I guess you would call me a helicopter pet parent. I do have nice kennels with bedding.

I currently work full time during the week. I will be available during the weekends to watch your furry friends! My schedule is fairly flexible during the weekend. I have a fenced in yard at my residence. Also, the house is in a safe location. I am able to drive to and from client's home. I have access to a vehicle at all times of the day.

About: I have had pets all my life and have pet sitter and walked dogs for family members since i was young. I have also worked in a veterinary hospital and have had training on how to safely handle pets of all sizes, and how to deal with their temperaments. I have 6 pets of my own so caring for them is a big part of my daily life. I have three dogs (2 of which are puppies!) and three cats who are very playful and are very close to me. I am a full time student working towards a medical laboratory science career. Because of this, i will be in the lab/school from 8-5 every weekday except holidays. I understand that this may not fit well with some pets needs and am happy to answer any questions about my schedule! I have a large fenced yard for my dogs who like to be very active and we have lots of toys around the house to play with them and the cats all day long. On nicer days we take my dog to the farmers market or dog park to walk around. I would be able to care for your pets on walks if they are harnessed and leashed so they are secure and cannot escape.

About: I am currently a veterinary technician student with a love for all animals! I have helped care for my friends’ and my families’ animals since I was 10, and have been around animals my whole life. I have classes for about 4-5 hours a day, with breaks in between. I also have time before and after school each day and free most of the weekends. I am able to feed, walk, medicate, and clean out litter boxes. I will also play and entertain them whenever they are up for it and will take all the cuddles they offer.

About: Hi, I’m Kendra. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, but it’s become even more meaningful after losing my own dog and my parents’ dog. That kind of loss changed me—it deepened my empathy and strengthened the way I connect with animals and their people. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, fish, turtles, rats, and hamsters. My partner and I adopted a 7-year-old Border Collie who had been through abuse and was slow to trust. Helping her learn to feel safe again reminded me that love, time, and consistency really matter—and I bring that same calm, steady energy to every pet I care for. I’m comfortable with medication routines, special diets, and unique behavioral needs. I take time to read body language, listen, and make sure each pet feels safe and understood.
