“This was a day visit to see how our boy (Coyote) and she got along. He is an older dog with severe arthritis especially in his hips and knees. She was very attentive to Coyote’s physical restrictions. She provided cute photos and updates even though this was just a day/trial visit. He will be going back in a month for an overnight to see how he does. I don’t anticipate any problems. Thank you Elizabeth!”

“Luna had a great time and was very well cared for! It's such a relief to know your pup is in good hands while away. It was also so nice to receive daily photos/video. Thank you and we hope to be back!”

“Joan is a very sweet lady. Cookie enjoyed her. We were traveling from TX to watched Alabama and Tennessee football game in TN. And Our reservation with Joan was done at the last minute. We were so blessed with Joan. She is flexible and very dependable sweet lady. If we ever return to Tennessee, will definitely utilize Joan again! Cookie was so excited first time meeting her!”

“Ashley was flexible with drop off/pickup time frames and communicated quickly. I’m always anxious leaving my pup behind but felt comfortable and confident leaving her in Ashley’s care. I would have preferred more pics during the stay but I understand sometimes it could be forgotten.”

“Maddie took very good care of our dog Cooper. She was very attentive and made sure Cooper’s needs were met. She also sent us photos of Cooper playing with other dogs. We will use her again next time we need to board him.”

“These were the perfect people for our dog. Our pup is only 9 months old and has separation anxiety. They were so patient with her and sent us pictures every day. We will definitely be booking again!”

“Tami was wonderful with Inky (10 year old lab mix), and I did not worry for one second about him while I was away! This was the first time he and I were separated after I adopted him almost 2 years ago. From the minute I corresponded with Tami, I knew that Inky would be in great hands! He LOVED lying on her covered porch and being in the fenced yard. Tami is very knowledgeable and treated Inky like family! She sent me pictures everyday and let me know how he was doing. I could tell he was happy happy happy being with her! I am new to Maryville and feel blessed to have found Tami! I would highly recommend her! She is a true blessing!! Thank you Tami!!”

“Gabrielle was amazing! We booked super last minute, and she was very responsive. She sent lots of pictures and kept us updated. A pleasure to work with. We will return for all of our boarding needs.”

“I was so happy with how well cared for my Rylee was taken care of! Jenny sent me several pics and videos of Rylee’s day which was a big help. I was able to relax and enjoy my weekend away knowing Rylee was doing so well and settled in comfortably. I definitely would recommend Jenny and plan on using her dog sitting service in the future! Thank you, Jenny (and husband)!”

About: I have a 4 month old puppy named Leo, he is great with dogs especially bigger dogs(even though he is 9 pounds) he still loves his big dogs. I have dog sat many of my neighbors dogs. Some for a month or even longer. I've cared for various breeds and sizes, ensuring they receive the love, attention, and exercise they need. My time with each dog has helped me develop strong skills in handling different personalities and needs, making me a reliable choice for pet care. Whether it's walks, playtime, or just cuddling, I always strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for every pup in my care. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to car for the pup. My schedules are pretty flexible and I spend a lot of time at home. I like always being with the dog whether it is walking, cuddling or just hanging out with them. I live closer to the country so I have lots of space to take the pups out.

“Ann is amazing! She took great care of our dog Sansa which includes giving her eye medications twice daily. I got lots of great pictures and videos, letting me know that she was well and having fun on her doggy vacation. Sansa also made lots of new doggy friends and seemed to have a blast playing with other dogs. Thanks Ann! Sansa will be back.”

“Reah and her family were so great with our Labradoodle! I felt at ease with the pics and video that she sent. Our girl ate all her food and that tells me she was happy and played well!! Other times at sitter homes she doesn't look happy in pics and she doesn't eat all her food provided. We will bring our baby back!! Thank you Reah and fam!!”

“She got great pics!! My dog is not photogenic, she hides from the camera and I loved the shots she got. Multiple walks a day, clean and welcoming home. Great place for Gidget to have a mini vaca at.”

“We had a wonderful experience leaving our Harley with Jordyn and Marcus! They were so kind and welcoming, and our pup had a great time with them. Their home was nice, and the whole experience was convenient and stress-free. We felt very comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We’ll definitely be calling them again the next time we’re in Knoxville! Highly recommend!”

“Kaylee was amazing! Constantly kept me updated and sent so many pics! I felt so comfortable and felt like my pet was taken such great care of. Definitely will be rebooking!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Happy Valley
Kathryne is the best ! She has watched my Charli three times now . Charli always comes home exhausted from playing with her fur bestie, Mochi ! Kathryne makes leaving my baby with someone else easy . She also is open to meet you at halfway point , which makes my life easy !

My schedule was all over the board this trip and Kathryne was extremely accommodating. She was also very good about sending pictures and videos. Star seemed to have a wonderful time playing with Mochi, Kathryne's dog and was completely worn out for the trip back home. 😃

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Happy Valley home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Happy Valley.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Happy Valley sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
