“I discovered I had no one to watch my to somewhat challenging dogs the night before a work event. Jake was professional, offered to have a quick meet and greet before the next day's visit, and showed up on time for both visits. I added a laundry list of concerns to my dog's profile. Luckily my dog loved Jake within 5 minutes of meeting him. So much so, that when my husband returned early and accidentally let Xara escape from the house, it was Jake my dog allowed herself to be caught by. She doesn't allow anyone but her besties to get near her when she is loose.”

About: I have worked at the pet shop in town for almost 4 years. I have learned a lot about nutrition and am here to help with that as well. I have always loved dogs & animals. I have 3 dogs now and use to have cats growing up. I have always helped family/ friends with their pets. My cousins would call me “ the dog whisperer” I am very patient and understanding- a dog sometimes is anxious just like us humans. I think taking time out of the day and using interactive toys is so important for stimulation and keeping them busy. I usually am off on sunday & tuesdays. I typically work in the morning until 3pm. Can do walks/feed them/ check in’s on the dogs after work and most likely before work. I have lots of grass outside & a gate inside.I would play with them outside, make sure they have a harness and a longer line ( so they are safe)& take them for walks. I can brush the dogs as well. I do prefer to stop at the clients house. I have 2 dogs at my house - it can be a lot. In the clients house I would first make sure the dog goes outside to the bathroom upon arrival. I would take them for a walk, play with the dogs outside( depending on the gate situation) Make sure they have lots of water, food & i can brush them.

About: My family and I are animal lovers! We have one dog of our own who we love and care for and she LOVES to play with other doggie friends! I have dog sat for about 15+ years for personal friends and family as well as many dogs here on Rover. All of our children love dogs and we create a loving and caring family environment. We have a large backyard in a family oriented town. Our yard is not fenced, but there is plenty of room for dogs we watch to run around and play. My children take part in caring for the dogs we sit and like to give them lots of extra hugs and love. We also enjoy going on lots of walks! We can’t wait to give your dog a warm, friendly home away from home! I am work from home, so I am available to be present for your dog. He/she will have someone around almost at all times. If we have to run out for anything, if your dog does not chew and is trained, he/she can have run of our home. We have one very friendly dog to keep yours company. I have plenty of room in the house for a crate if necessary. If medications are necessary, I am able to administer that. Our yard is not fenced, however we have a long lead where he/she can have plenty of room to run around. Our family will be present at all times when your dog is outside.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them comes as naturally to me as breathing. I’ve grown up with dogs since I was a kid and currently have two of my own—both well-behaved and trained beyond just basic obedience, including fun tricks to keep them engaged. My full-time job keeps me surrounded by dogs who come in and out of the office. I also have a deep understanding of senior dog care, puppy care and canine nutrition, ensuring every pup in my care gets the best possible attention. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me hiking with my dogs or planning our next dog-friendly adventure. I don’t have human kids, but my dogs are my world, and I’ll treat yours like family too! I currently have a full time job that I work 4 days a week so I’m available 3 days a week - Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. I will abide by the owners preference on letting their dog out as I understand everyone has their own way of handling this. If their yard is fenced and a simple open the door and go - that’s a plus but more than happy to put the leash on and go around!

About: Hi. I am a retired public school teacher. Tutoring fishing and traveling takes up a large chunk of my time now but I still have time to hang with the hounds. I absolutely love dogs and have been a multiple dog owner since I was a kid (I'm now in my 50's). I am also the “go to dog watcher/walker” when family and friends are away and hopefully can be for your dog at some time as well. Once I retire I plan on having even greater flexibility and more scheduling for my dog friends and their owners. Currently I have the summer off and have availability Mon through Sunday, mornings, afternoons and evenngs.Once the school year begins again at the end of August I will still be available late afternoons and evenings with boarding options Fri and Sat nights only. I am available for walking, watching and for those interested, boarding at our home. We presently have two dogs, both rescues ( a chihuahua and a whippet hybrid) and a fully fenced in backyard (70’ x 100’) that is very dog friendly and dog secure for those who need an overnight or a doggy day care option. She did so well with the dogs they were not pleased to see it was me coming home instead of her. On Monday's and Wednesdays after 4 I am available. Tuesday and Thursdays after 12 I am available. I would take the dog(s) for a walk. I love walks. Give them treats if allowed. About: I have been taking pet sitting since high school. I have experience with lots of animals and was a vet tech for many summers during college. I have a degree in animal science and currently two dogs and a horse of my own! I love working on basic training and playing outside with pets. I also live next to a river where my dog loves to walk (or take a dip)! I also have experience with older dogs and medical needs. I work from home, so there is almost always someone here. My husband works outside the home, but we spend most nights at home. I go to the barn after work, but he arrives home shortly after I leave! I have one friendly dog that lives here full time. I still share custody with my siblings for our family dog, who is also friendly and spends the week here with me. They both love other dogs and are good with small to medium dogs. We can easily separate when needed.
