“Kelly was AMAZING!!! Her timing was prompt & she went above and beyond my expectations. Working long shifts in healthcare leaves me so stressed knowing my furbabies are at home alone & knowing they got such good care from Kelly was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Seriously, I can’t thank her enough. For taking the extra time to walk her, making sure she got multiple potty opportunities, and the photo updates. Highly recommend 🤩”

“Claire is such a caring pet sitter. She has such a compassion and was able to help our family last minute. My three dogs immediately loved her and they normally don’t take that well to strangers. She has the magic touch!”

“Kristin was very pleasant and easy to talk to about our pups. I really am looking forward to her sitting with our dogs. Our dogs were very receptive and positively responsive to her.”

About: I have been around pets all my life. Volunteered as a foster mom for the humane society and took home pets that needed medication given to them. Been around active dogs like Dalmatians and Australian Shepherds as well as older, docile dogs. Did puppy training classes when I raised my Australian shepherd. I work full time so if you request a booking with me I may send you back a message with the hours I work during that time frame. I've also lowered my rates below Rovers "suggested" numbers and made it to where you can "potentially" book me last minute (If my schedule works for you, obviously). I would love to be that sitter that is helping out someone who maybe had a sitter cancel at the last minute or you had an unexpected event happen and didn't really have it in the budget to hire a pet sitter on top of everything else. Or you are just a frugal gal/guy like me and don't think it should break the bank to hire someone to watch your fur children 😊 I can crate your pets when needed, take them on walks, can administer medications if needed. I work well with lists or rules set out to follow for your pets best care in your home.
“Our dogs, Sammy and Bentley loved Jennifer P! They had a wonderful time together on the drop in visits. She came at the requested times, took care of them, gave a report and pics after each visit. Great job! We felt confident being out of town with Jennifer caring for our dogs . thank you!!”

“My dogs adore Alyssa. She has a special way of connecting with all animals. I don’t worry when I leave them in her care because I know they are not going to be stressed and are well cared for along with getting some extra scratches and kisses. I also know that if any problem comes up, with all of her experience, she will handle it. I feel lucky to have her help!”

About: Background/experience in veterinary medicine. I am very comfortable with giving medication, taking care of special needs/senior pets. I treat every pet as if they are my own. I currently own my own equine business which means I set my own hours. I am a very active person so including other animal duties into my daily life is not difficult. I treat each pet as if they were my own. I would do everything I could to keep them comfortable in their own home while their owners are away. Even if that means sitting on the floor while they take a nap so they don't feel alone.
About: Over 4 years of dog walking and pet sitting (references gladly available) Skilled in managing high-energy dogs — I love long walks, runs, fetch sessions, and active play Also experienced with senior, fragile, or special-needs dogs, making sure they’re handled gently and safely Volunteered at a local animal shelter in middle school, walking and socializing dogs In high school, volunteered ~1 year at Camden Veterinary Clinic, assisting with animal care, handling, and general support Participated in dog rescue efforts, including fostering, transport, and rehabilitation Comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments — from overactive pit mixes to nervous small breeds Dependable, responsible, and not squeamish — able to clean up accidents, administer oral medications, or assist with basic care One client often led to many: many bookings come via referrals I'm currently attending school at USC, which leaves me with plenty of time around my classes. With my schedule, I only have class on certain days and am also free on weekends. I follow your instructions and guidance on pet care, while being mindful of your pet's health and well-being. I'm very observant and attuned to when a pet needs affection, exercise, or a bathroom break. I'm not intimidated by high-energy dogs. “Kayla was great! She was such a great sitter for our two dogs! She was super attentive and gave us detailed updates with each visit that included lots of pictures. She was available with a few days notice due to an unexpected work trip. We felt totally at east with her and will definitely be reaching out in the future!”

“Madissen was great! The house was exactly as I left it, and my two kitties, Snap and Grommet, looked excellently cared for. Madissen also went above and beyond and unpacked an unexpectedly early food delivery and put everything in the fridge. I won't hesitate to use her again!”

About: Growing up I've always loved animals. I've been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember between watching neighbors/friends pets to having a couple of my own. I have a pretty open availability especially during the weekends. If anything just let me know and I’m willing to try my best to work around your fur babies schedule. I will always treat your fur baby like my own! If it’s nice outside we can spend the day out at the dog park or just going for a good long walk. Otherwise they can join my pets and I on the couch for a lazy day in.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
