About: Hi! I’m Carol and I’ve been taking care of animals my entire life. My love for animals led me to earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Medicine and I am a licensed veterinary nurse (CVTg). I worked 13 years in general practice, surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, cardiology and emergency. From puppies to seniors, nervous/anxious or special needs - I welcome all dogs. While we all want our pups to be healthy forever, my background offers the unique ability to provide expert elevated care and guidance if needed. With me, you’re not just getting a dog walker, you’re getting a lifetime of professional training, knowledge and elite skill set. My schedule is flexible for weekdays and weekends and I can often accommodate same day requests. Trained in administering oral, injectable, topical medications, I can coordinate schedules should your pet need medication at a specific time(s). Just let me know what’s needed and we can make it happen! Having worked wildlife, zoo animal, marine animal, farm animal, equine and small animal medicine - I’ve seen all sides of animal behavior. What matters most, to not only the animal but to the owner as well, is always trust. I will always take my time to understand your pets personality and routine. Consistency and patience is key. I’m not their trainer or behaviorist (though I do have training in both) - I’m there to be a friend and caregiver. That doesn’t mean I can’t handle the anxious or unruly furry friends - I love a skeptic and the advanced behavioral training and handling I have under my belt makes me particularly suited for the spicier personalities.
“Kathy and John always take great care of my Chrissy. I have had others in the past, but John and Kathy are The best. Great communication. I highly recommend them. 10 out of 10”

“Wendy was great with my two cats! She offered a handful of sweet pictures to sift through on the daily, and my babes seemed so at ease in her presence. I'm incredibly thankful for Wendy's help and most importantly, love.”

About: Hi, I’m Cynthia! I am experienced pet parent and have had my dog, a super friendly couch potato Bassett Lab mix named Tucker, for over a decade now. I grew up with cats and frequently pet sit for friends and neighbors by doing drop in visits and walks. I have experience with both small and large dogs, and love to get my steps in with walks! We take our dog out for a 30 minute walk every morning, as well as shorter walks and play throughout the day as my husband and I both have flexible hours and work from home. The care and safety of your pet is of the utmost importance to me and I’d treat all of them as if they were my own. Thanks for considering me for your furry family member, and I look forward to meeting them! I’m recently laid off from my long time job as a project manager and have unlimited time to make your pet’s life the best it can be :) I have trained my dog from puppy school through to puppy college aka therapy dog school and am well attuned to the needs of a dog in training. I’m comfortable following any guidelines you set out, and strive to leave any place better than I found it.
“Erin was very kind and caring with my two cats that are very frightened of strangers. It was good to see the pictures of them to see they were doing fine without us there for their first time with us being away for a long period of time. She was very prompt in getting to them at the designated times. I will definitely request her again.”

“Jessica is extremely reliable. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and is a true extension with training our 8 month old Havanese, Pebbles. The consistency adds to Pebbles success. The lond voice and affection Jessica gives to Pebbles is appreciated and genuine. We highly recommend Jessica!!”

About: I’ve taken care of my family’s dogs while they were away and played with their high energy dog lots! I am also great at handling dogs as I work part time at a mother and daughter run grooming place as a dog washer and dryer. I plan to try and become a dog groomer so getting even more experience would be great. I am currently working a part time job as a dog washer and dryer at a grooming salon, so I am actively getting more and more experience with dogs! I’m available to pet sit your dogs or cats during 11:00am to 8:00pm. Dog walking or drop ins I can most likely always do on Fridays. I will take care of your pets to the best of my abilities and make sure that they are comfortable and happy when they are in my care.
“Mary was awesome. She accommodated a pretty short notice request for our first time for a drop-in. And while our dogs can be anxious around new people, she had no concerns and took them out and played with them and they had a blast. We will definitely be using her services again.”

“Catherine is great! I knew from our meet and greet that she is a genuine animal lover! She immediately got down onto the floor to calmly and gently introduce herself to my cat. Dani went right up to her with confidence. Catherine took such good care of my Dani while I was on vacation. She made sure that she had plenty of food and water each day and tended to the litter box. Catherine took time to pet, brush, and play with Dani too. She also took a lot of great photos. I could see from the photos that Dani was thoroughly enjoying Catherine’s company and attention. I will definitely use Catherine in the future and confidently recommend her pet sitting services to others.”

“An absolute gem of a person - took the best care of goose and made sure he was all taken care of. I will have Tori be goose’s babysitter for as long as possible. If you want your pet to be in genuinely caring hands, book with Tori”
“Anahi is a wonderful person and sitter! She is friendly, kind, and a great communicator. I was very nervous as it was my first time using the site to find a sitter, but I made the right choice booking Anahi. I was not expecting my shy cat to interact with her right away, but from the first visit, she was sharing pictures of them playing together, and him seeking her out for affection as she walked in on the second visit. I do believe animals are a great judge of character and I will be booking her for my next trip. Highly recommend.”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I have pet sat for dogs of all breed, age, and size. I was a bather at Petsmart and I worked at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls as a veterinary assistant and handled dogs all the time. I now work at Green Leaf Pet resort in oakhurst and I walk dogs, do daycare and more! I work 5 days a week. I have a set schedule that’s Monday’s, Tuesday's, Wednesday’s, Friday’s, and Saturday’s 2 pm - 9 pm. I make sure that how ever the pet is used to there owners taking care of them I take care of them the same. I feed, take out, crate if they get crated, etc.
“Hunter did a great job with our two dogs and was very responsive to our “visit” service request, did a meet and greet with us earlier this past week and executed on our the agreed to services . Very reliable, pleasant and mature. We received updates and photos on each visit. Hunter is highly recommended.”

“As always, Madison is absolutely amazing with my cat. He loves her! She is prompt and sends the best pics. She is so trustworthy and highly recommended!! She has become my sweet Oliver’s regular sitter since I travel quite often.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hamilton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
