“Nina did an awesome job taking care of Duke. When I picked him up he was smiling, and then immediately fell a asleep in the car. He was a very happy puppy and I would definitely use Nina again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of family animals my entire life & foster failed with my rescue 7 years ago. I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes! I am happy to do a meet and greet to make sure we are a good match :) I work fully remote so I am available all day to either host day care or sit in your home! I can provide frequent walks, potty breaks, and 1:1 supervision. In / from your home I will provide long walks in nearby parks / the sidewalk, play catch, and explore. If you have a fenced in yard or common area and prefer your doggo play there, that’s great as well

“We've used Morgan twice - once for day care then boarded her overnight a few days later. Our puppy Chelsea loves going to Morgan's and came back from her overnight looking happy and well. When she got out of the car at Morgan's house for her second stay there, she ran to greet Morgan and was excited to go inside. When we picked her up the next day, she was being very affectionate with Morgan. Not sure what more anyone can ask for from a dog-sitter.”

“Cindy was great! She was able to take wilson last notice and was very thorough making sure she knew his feeding and potty schedule. Her daughters were wonderful playing with him and petting him too! Highly recommend”

About: My husband and I have lived in Lake Mohawk for 22 years. We have 4 wonderful children, all of which love animals. In addition to our children, we have a wonderfully trained female Havachon named Bella, whom we have raised since she was a puppy. Bella loves to play with other dogs, however she mostly enjoys laying and cuddling most of the day. We are an active family and love all animals and outdoorsy activities, as well as the occasional lazy day, vegging out and playing a competitive game of Ticket to Ride or cuddling on the couch with our pup to watch a classic movie like our favorite, The Goonies! Both my husband and I grew up with dogs, and when I was a teenager, I raised a dog for the Seeing Eye. After getting married, our first fur baby was our beloved Toby, our Shi-a-poo, who we raised as a pup until he recently passed away at the old age of 19! After staying home with my children and fur babies for over 15 years, I recently went back to my first job, a teacher, in the local school district. While we no longer offer pet sitting in our home, we would love to offer drop in visits, and daily walks afterschool, evenings or during the weekends to give your fur baby some lov'n and activity while you're away! Depending on your fur baby's needs, during each visit, we will check food & water levels, give a 5 - 10 minute play session and a quick potty break outside. If you want, leave us a leash and we'll take your pup on a 20-30 min walk around the neighborhood to explore and get some exercise! We want to ease your worries that while you're away, your pup will be given lots of love and care! I'm a school teacher who has my afternoons (after 2:30pm) and weekends free to drop in and give your pup plenty of lov'n and care! Check in with me during summer & holiday breaks, too, bc when school is off, I have the whole day free to check in on your fur baby! Upon arrival, I always let my furry friends smell and get acquainted with me before feeding or letting outside. I want my new furry friends to trust me completely that I'm there to give them the best care possible!
About: Taking care of your pet is like adding another addition to our family, I will make sure to exercise, play and love them from the moment you leave until your return. If they enjoy walking around the lake and playing till there hearts content or just spending the day keeping them company snuggled up on the couch. Any specific needs or little extra things you would normally do for them please don’t hesitate to let me know(grooming, medications, extra belly rubs)! Making sure everyone is comfortable , safe and happy while you are away is what I wish to provide.I’m a stay at home mom of two boys and a little girl just looking for a little extra income doing something I love. I currently have several fish and our cat Spinel age 6! I am currently a stay at home mother so I am able to make your pets happy, safe and comfortable while you are away ! Where we go they go! Whether you need me to come to your home or ours I am available for long walks , potty training, and some good play times with belly rubs and love!

“Milo was well cared for and loved with Christine. She sent pics and videos. We were also running late and she has no problem with it. Fantastic sitter we would definitely use again.”

“We were in a pinch and needed to figure out what to do with our dog when an out of town wake and a funeral came up suddenly. We found Jonathan on the Rover map in the area we were staying. He responded promptly and we set up the times we needed daycare. He was flexible as our drop-off and pickup times had to be adjusted. Took care of our dog and - very telling, I think - she seemed fine with going back for the second day. She also seemed fine, looked pretty relaxed when we picked her up,”

“They were warm and welcoming from the beginning. Emma seemed comfortable wandering around their home and being with them. They saved me just by being available on Thanksgiving! I would definitely use them again!!”

“Jonathan was terrific to work with. He made Gus feel welcome and at ease right away. He communicated well and made us feel at ease leaving Gus. I would easily recommend him to anyone!”

“Desi and Marilyn are such warm people. Leia has gone for 2 days and she’s come home exhausted from playing with her new friends especially her crush Baxter. Leia can’t wait to go back but unlucky for Leia mama is off work a couple of days. Highly recommend!”

As of September 2026, there are 882 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Hamburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hamburg commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 882 sitters in Hamburg, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
