“Ramona recently watched my cats while we travelled for two weeks. I warned her beforehand that she was unlikely to actually see them. I had recently had a bad experience with a cat sitter so I was rather nervous about leaving them, but Ramona immediately showed me that she was trustworthy with my animals. She was great during our trip. Yes, only saw one cat briefly, but assured me about evidence that they were doing great. She communicated well and really gave me peace of mind about their care. I highly recommend hiring her to care for your animals.”

About: I have loved dogs and have taken care of them for various friends for many years. What sets me apart is that I treat them like you would treat them or better. I’m trying to make this my full time job. I really love dogs and cats and all kinds of animals that people have in their homes. I would keep your dog on a leash and close to me because unfortunately I do not have a fenced yard. They are free to roam in my home.

“Christina was wonderful to work with and she was so good to our pup Volta. She was super flexible to work with as she watched our dog while I had a baby and the date was unpredictable. I would highly recommend, and wouldn't hesitant to book with Christina in the future. :-)”

About: Hi! I’m Ebony, a 20 year old college student born and raised in Texas, living in the Longview area. I’ve always loved working with animals and in the past I’ve had four dogs and three cats. But I currently have two dogs and one cat at home! I also used to volunteer regularly at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, so I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds and personalities. I’m quick to respond and always happy to help with last minute bookings, walks, and check-ins. I’d love to connect with local pet owners and help care for your pets like they’re my own! I’m a full time online student at Lamar University, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available most days for walks, drop-ins, or pet sitting and can easily adjust to your pet’s routine. I walk, feed, entertain, and love my own pets every day, and I’ve taken in stray animals in tough situations for years. I’m great with energetic or hyperactive pets and love keeping them happy and engaged through play and attention.
About: Hi, I’m Alyviah! I’m 24, a veteran, and a lifelong animal lover. My crew includes two mini schnauzers, two cats, and a banana ball python, so caring for different personalities and species is part of my everyday life. I’ve had dogs big and small throughout my life. For the past 4 years, I’ve provided walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and boarding for dogs, cats, and reptiles. I’ve also rescued and fostered stray animals and volunteered with local adoption centers. Life can be unpredictable, so I’d love to help when you need an extra hand. I would love to create new memories with your furry, feathered, and scaly babies and hopefully become your go-to gal! Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. I have a flexible schedule and am available most days, including weekends, allowing me to provide reliable care when needed. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and following their routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make their time away from their owner as stress-free as possible. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions. I also believe communication is important, so I like to provide updates and photos when possible. My goal is for both pets and their owners to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.
“This was my first time using this service and I’m especially happy that I found Jennifer! Jennifer is super sweet, attentive and took real good care of my dog, King. King warmed up to Jennifer the first visit so I knew this would be a great match. We will definitely be using Rover and Jennifer again for future drop ins. Thank you so much Jennifer. We truly appreciate your assistance and care the past couple of days.”

About: I was raised around animals, of all kind, my entire life. Rescued many due to job as rural letter carrier. God gave us dominion over all animals! I’m retired and newly relocated. Love the outdoors and being outside part of every day life. Lots places to roam around Although, just lounging inside works too. Although I do not have a fenced yard, there is ample space for walking. My own dog is free to roam, but is inside mostly. He sleeps on furniture and with me. He’s great around other dogs.
“Terri is the absolute best going above and beyond when caring for your pets. While out of town she came to the rescue with drop-ins. Her daily communication and photos added a sense of comfort knowing the fur babies were in great hands.”

About: Throughout my life I have always had animals, and taking care of them is my passion. I groomed dogs for about a year, and trained dogs on obedience and field work for hunting for about 3 years. I currently have a dog, cat, bearded dragon and an aquarium of fish. My schedule is limited currently, but I'm hoping for it to open up soon. Do not be afraid to reach out to me and we can try to make something work out! I will walk your dog, drop in for check-ins in the evening certain nights in the week, and work obedience, if you would like. Leash manners are a specialty of mine. I am currently working a full time job but I will make time after in the evenings if you would like. I am hoping for my schedule to free up some though! I am free Tuesday's and Wednesday's. Please let me know if either of those days work out! Unfortunately, I am not able to house your pet(s) at my home, but I am able to go to your house to look after them. I have multiple references from pasts employers and clients.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hallsville. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
