Can’t say enough positive things about Linda! From the pictures/videos she sends to how she cares for him like her own…it’s exactly what we had been looking for in a dog sitter! She plays outside with them, and pays close attention to detail, and loves them!

About: I was raised around animals, of all kind, my entire life. Rescued many due to job as rural letter carrier. God gave us dominion over all animals! I’m retired and newly relocated. Love the outdoors and being outside part of every day life. Lots places to roam around Although, just lounging inside works too. Although I do not have a fenced yard, there is ample space for walking. My own dog is free to roam, but is inside mostly. He sleeps on furniture and with me. He’s great around other dogs.

About: Ive taken care of animal basically all my life. Family, friends, neighbors have always relied on me to care for their pets, house, and children. I do have a job outside of rover but would still love to be considered as we can compromise :). I’ve cared for animals my whole life and enjoy being around them. I know it can be stressful leaving your fur babies but I can ensure I am a reliable pet owner and caregiver. I have two dogs at home, they’re very happy and well taken care of. They love playing outside and with their toys. We also LOVE cuddles.

Brandi is wonderful - our dogs are a lil needy - one is high strung & constantly jumping, running & needing lots of attention & the other just had knee surgery so he has to be leash walked 4-6 times a day for rehab & potty breaks &&& both dogs take multiple meds several times a day - needless to say there is a serious chart to follow &&& Brandi never missed a beat. We feel very comfortable w Brandi in our home & caring for our beasts :-)

About: When I was younger we had 3 dogs, they were my best girls! Over the years we had rescued 8 cats, one of our cats may have some autism but she is so gentle and just needed some love. The trick is to let them come to you so they see you as a safe space! I currently work part-time but I am not working as much this summer, I may have a few softball lessons since I play college softball. My morning and afternoons are mainly free, in the afternoon is when I workout but I am very flexible! We used to have a fenced in area in our backyard for our dogs and a pool deck (no pool) but had to tear down our deck and now we have a beautiful grassy green area with lots of plants! Our home inside is very pet friendly we have cat and dog toys as well as cat and dog food/treats!

About: Howdy fellow pet lovers. I’m Keith, and along with my daughter, Karsyn, we just launched a friendly dog service called Haywood’s Happy Hounds. I’m a husband and father of four beautiful children. I have been the owner of two Rottweilers and a Yorkie in the past, but now, we are raising an energetic, sparky Chiweenie named Krew LeBark Haywood and a friendly, playful GoldenDoodle named Reese L. Haywood alongside our children. My youngest daughter really took a liking to Krew when we got him as a wee pup, so she’s going along on this doggie journey with me. Don’t want to be in the rain? We’ll walk your GreatDane! Late starting supper? We’ll gladly walk your pupper. Need someone to puppy sit? We’ll watch your lovely, fluffy ShihTzu. Friendly dog, but no one to watch her? I’ll come sit your boxer! Whatever your doggie needs, our Daddy&Daughter tandem can provide it, indeed! Rain, sleet, snow or hail, we offer our services like the postal mail! We’ll treat your furry friends like one of our own and return them happier than when they arrived. I’m available most days and weekends for sitting. Just contact us and let us know when you’d need our friendly services. We’re looking forward to it. We have a nice sized, fenced yard, where our own dogs AND children love roaming around and playing in. I’m sure your pups will too.

Here’s a thoughtful review you can use: We couldn’t be happier with the care Chelbi provided for our four dogs while we were away overnight. Taking care of one dog can be a lot, but managing four and doing it so seamlessly speaks volumes about her patience, dedication, and love for animals. She kept us updated, followed all our instructions, and gave each dog the attention they needed. We came home to happy, relaxed pups, and our house was in perfect condition. If you’re looking for someone reliable and caring to look after your pets, Chelbi is absolutely the one to trust. Highly recommend! Let me know if you’d like to personalize it further!

About: Hi! I’ve been dog sitting and caring for homes for over 10 years and truly love what I do. I’m proud to have long-term families who still trust me with their pets, and I currently have more availability to take on new clients. I live in Longview and work full-time as a school counselor, but caring for animals has always been something I’ve done on the side. I’ve had the joy of watching many puppies grow into adult dogs and caring for them throughout their entire lives. I offer walks, medication administration, and can follow any special care routines your pet needs. I’m also happy to help with vet visits, grooming appointments, and anything else that makes your life easier. If you prefer in-home care, I’m very respectful of your space and can also help with light house care while you’re away. Most importantly, I will love and care for your dog like they are my own. I have a consistent routine that allows me to give your pets reliable, attentive care throughout the day. I leave for work early in the morning, so I always make sure your pets are taken out and their full morning routine is completed before I head out. If needed, I’m able to stop by midday for a potty break and quick check-in. I finish work around 3:30–4:00 PM and head straight back, where I’m available for the rest of the evening. This includes walks, dinner, playtime, and just spending quality time with your pet so they feel comfortable and cared for. I always care for pets based on their individual routines and needs, because I know how important consistency is for them. Whether I’m in your home or providing drop-in visits, I aim to keep your pet’s schedule as close to normal as possible. In your home, I follow all feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions you provide. I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship, not just the basics. I also keep your home tidy and respected while you’re away. I’m comfortable administering medications, handling special care needs, and caring for pets of all ages, from puppies to senior dogs. I’ve had the privilege of caring for some dogs throughout their entire lives, so I understand how needs can change over time. I also provide updates and communication so you feel at ease knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is always to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with 6 years of hands-on pet sitting experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs. I’m also a proud dog mom to my three babies: Koda (Standard Goldendoodle), Bentley (Mini Goldendoodle), and Roxy (Mini Aussie), so caring for dogs is truly part of my everyday life. What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give every pet as if they were my own. I’m experienced with maintaining feeding schedules, administering basic medications, handling high-energy dogs, and making anxious pets feel comfortable and safe. I understand how important communication and trust are, so I always keep owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. My goal is to create a fun, loving, and stress-free environment where your pet feels happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away! 🐶✨ Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I’m home the majority of the day. I typically work out in the mornings, which allows me to dedicate the rest of my day to giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, walks, and companionship. I occasionally go to dinner with family or friends, but overall I have a very flexible schedule and enjoy making pets a priority in my day-to-day life. I care for every pet as if they were my own by creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, exercise, and a comfortable space to relax. I’m very mindful of maintaining their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any special instructions from the owner. In a client’s home, I make sure pets feel comfortable by keeping their routine as consistent as possible while also respecting and caring for the home. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so owners can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.

Absolutely amazed by Alexis and how well she did. Very professional and had no problem watching our house even with some of the extra tasks asked of her. Ive had sitters in the past but never have I come home to house that felt cleaner than when I left. I appreciated the daily updates and behavioral observations. 10/10 will use her again

FAQs for House Sitting - Hallsville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Hallsville on Rover is $86.88 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 73 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hallsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hallsville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hallsville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hallsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
