“Allison and her family were great with my dog! They sent lots of photos and gave updates on how she was doing. And Willow made friends with their dog who was very well mannered!!”

“Boo had a wonderful time with Katie and her family. The frequent pictures Katie sent showed us just how comfortable Boo was. They even took her swimming in their pool! - a first for Boo. If we could give Katie and her family a 10 we would do it.”

“Stacey has been so wonderful with our husky, we are grateful we found her on Rover. She did everything we asked and more. We just moved to the area so it’s always a little scary leaving your dog with anyone new. She took the best care of him, sent us updates and pictures. We look forward to Zeke's next stay with her.”

“Our dog raced to the front door remembering her stay with Jena and Nick from last year. She remained happy and was able to stick to her normal routines while there. Jena sent pictures and updates regularly and was good about reporting any concerns or issues such as the air quality preventing long walks. They were genuinely concerned about Liz’s well being which is so important to us. Our pet was well cared for, and we plan to use them any time we need a dog sitter. We find them to be reliable, caring, and responsible and know Liz is in good hands while we are away.”

“We are so glad to have found Michelle and Sami. They treated our golden dog like family for our holiday weekend away. They also have 2 sons who were super helpful. The whole family took part in caring for our dog. My pup came back happy and tired from playing with their dogs ☺️”

“Alex is a fantastic sitter. She sent me lots of photos of Hank during my trip, and when circumstances held me up for an extra day, she was willing to extend the booking. I can feel confident leaving Hank with her, knowing that he will be in good hands, and I highly recommend Alex to any pet parent.”

“I highly recommend Brittany! She took great care of our one year Samoyed for a weekend away. He had a lot of fun playing with her two dogs, and returned home a very happy and tired dog. We were provided pictures and updates of our dog during his stay. Brittany is quick to respond to stay requests, and made drop-off and pick-up very easy.”

“Grace made me feel very comfortable leaving my 3 dogs with her, which isn't all that easy. My girls were happy with her and were glad to be there. I would recommend Grace and would re-book with her in the future.”

“I was delighted with Katherine's service. She was prompt with my correspondence and the pickup and drop off service. Also my dog seemed to enjoy her stay with her immensely. I like that she provided me with photos during the course of the day boarding and overnight. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“I’m so grateful that Megan and William were able to take Betty last minute and were so flexible with our plans! They kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I also really appreciated them taking Betty for a walk and giving her such great care. I would definitely recommend Megan and William to anyone looking for kind, reliable, and thoughtful sitters!”

“Silvana took amazing care of our dog, Lilah for a week and we are so happy to have chosen her to watch our puppy. She sent us daily pictures of Lilah, took her on walks, hikes, and fun outings. Silvana was flexible with our schedule, and her own work schedule was flexible enough to care for our young dog who has not mastered being home alone for more than 5 hours yet. We are super grateful and will book with Silvana again in the near future.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and do my very best to treat them like family. I make sure they eat, have adequate potty time, and recreation time. I will be sure to take care of your pet as if they were with you. I am currently working, but have plenty of time to care for pets. They will have plenty of time 1 on 1 with their needs met. I have a yard and can give your dog access to exercise or take them on walks at parks. I do my best to follow your home schedule as much as possible to ensure they will be still on that schedule when you return home.
About: I’m a lover of all animals, but dogs have always had my heart. There is nothing quite like the joy that comes with being surrounded by dogs. Their instantaneous affection, contagious happiness, and unique personalities make me so excited to interact with any dog that I cross paths with. I love my job as a special education teacher, but I have always wanted to work with dogs in some capacity, too. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life & understand that beyond their basic needs being met, what they really need is a whole lot of love, and humans who are willing to take on their abundance of love, as well. I hope to make lots of new furry friends on here and give them so much love!! I have a full-time teaching job, so during the school year I am available on nights (after 4pm) and weekends. Over the summer and during holiday breaks, my schedule is much more flexible! I have two dogs that currently live at my parent’s house and come to stay with my every few weeks. This arrangement began when I got my dogs in college and could not keep them in my apartment, and we have found that it works best for them since I am gone most of the day for work. That said, my home is open and animal-free for any pet stays. We have a walkable neighborhood with friendly neighbors and fellow dogs. I also have experience dog-sitting at the dog’s home for those who do better with keeping their usual routine.
About: Hi there! My name is Kalli. I have owned and trained dogs my whole life. I worked as a full time pet sitter/dog walker from 2013 thru 2016. I would love to watch your home, water plants and pamper your pooch. I am flexible for vacations or even if you're at work and need a mid day walker for your pup. I love all animals and would love to help you with yours! Currently stay at home mother with a two kids. I am able to come without them. Can do early mornings, mid day and nights. I Have a flexible schedule. Have a large back yard and two very friendly dogs. I have a large back porch 3 season room that could give your pet their own space.
“Stephanie was great and very loving with our senior chihuahua. She accommodated us to make sure her home was the safest for his stay. We really appreciated all the photos and prompt responses.”

About: I got my pup at 8 weeks old. She’s 5 years old and is well behaved and trained. I have been super hands on with her in terms of grooming, training, and playing. I work full time 9-5 M-F. I am able do drop ins before and after work. Weekends I am usually free. For overnight stays I do have to bring my dog with me. She gets along great with other dogs and cats! I try to take my dog for long walks in the afternoon. I try to take her to the park or hiking at least once a week and would be happy to bring others along as well. I do work a full time, but typically have full weekends free. I am able to drop in before and after work to walk, feed, and play with your pup or cat! I try to make sure to keep within the routine that is set forth by my clients. My apartment is dog proofed as I never want my own pup to get into anything, so if we have a visitor they are also unable to get into anything!
About: Animals of all kinds have always been drawn to me. for as long as i can remember, i’ve wanted to take care of animals in some fashion. Rover is the perfect way to do that while i’m still in college! I work part time at Getgo on south pike rd, while also going to school full time for Psychology. I’ll be able to spend time with your fur baby after work, after school, and in my free time thursday - saturday. we have two golden retrievers who are the sweetest boys around. we have a front and back yard, neither are fenced in due to their size.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hallston
This is the first time we have chosen to use Rover since we have a dog with special needs. We left Mitzi with Gina for 9 days and Gina took excellent care of her. She has a beautiful home, a wonderful welcoming committee Zoey and we couldn't have asked for the constant photos and communication Gina provided. It could not have gone any better, if anything it was a much better experience than we ever imagined. Thank you so much Gina! We will always be grateful for the care you provided! Mitzi, Janie and Steve

Gina T. went the extra miles with our Boxer, a male 11 months old and first time multiple nights away from home. I could not be more enthusiastic about Gina and her family’s care!!! Their dog became a firm friend and playmate for ours. Gina T. will always be our go-to daycare and boarder Rover!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hallston home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hallston.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hallston sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
