“Angela is a delight. She spends a lot of time with each pet, doing things that make each one feel comfortable and seen. She even cozied up on the floor to make a newer member of the pet family feel like home. She also sends tons of pictures, which is great! I love seeing them being well taken care of. Definitely will ask to help again in the future.”

“Lucy was awesome with Lola. It was very comforting to me to know that she was home being taken care of while I had to be away. I’ll never use a kennel again after our experience with Lucy! She’s a wonderful young lady, and will definitely contact her again in the future.”

“Kristen has been a blessing! She is down to earth, professional, organized, kind and trustworthy. Kristin helped me during a big life transition as I’m going back to school, thanks to her dog walking skills. I arrive home after a long day with a Happy, hydrated dog (and no accidents!).”

“Leah has done an amazing job with both of my frenchies, Zeus and Odin. She stops in to check on them, and since Odin is still a puppy (12 weeks) it can be a lot at times. Her attention to detail and commitment to treating my pups as if they’re her own really shows.”

“Patrick is so amazing. I am very grateful for his help with taking care of my pup. He is so flexible and accommodating with scheduling. My dog absolutely loves him.”

“Greg is amazing! He was able to help us out last minute and our Kenzie loved him. He spent time with both my cat and dog and gave them cuddles and attention when we were away. Highly recommend him!”

“Jesus was super friendly and our pups took to him right away. I received pictures daily and came back to 2 happy and safe dogs! Thank you Jesus will definitely see you again soon!”

“Brigit was very sweet with our pets, and was a great communicator when an unexpected situation came up. I'm so grateful for her honesty and help while we were on vacation.”

“Tabatha is the best. She’s a very caring, thoughtful caregiver. Super reliable and responsive with plenty of communication and photos. She even kept an eye on the plants. Will definitely be rebooking in the future if she’s available. Thank you so much Tabatha!”

“My cat adored Ali. They played and cuddled, and of course Ali fed her well and groomed her and took good care of her and the house. She reliably kept her appointments for two weeks and sent me great photos and messages twice a day. I will absolutely use Ali's services again!”

About: I have been caring for animals since my childhood and have several of my own. I am a veterinary assistant and am comfortable with animals of all ages and sizes, as well as with responsibilities such as administering medication, walks, special diets, etc. I work and go to school part time. I have the most freedom on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, but can also periodically check on your pet on the other days of the week. I can do overnights as well. I will work with your pets needs whether that is specific feeding times, a walking schedule, or other routines that you and your pet typically do.
“Rachel took great care of our three cats while we were away for 10 days. She communicated well, and got pictures of cats at each day she visited (except for our known shy guy). I have no hesitation booking with her again. Thank you.”

“Michael was wonderful with my cat while I was traveling. Very kind, communicative and professional. He even left her an extra little bag of treats. Highly recommend.”

“Monique took excellent care of my dog while I was away! Shoelace took to her immediately and seemed very happy in all of the pictures Monique sent. It was so great to come home to a happy, relaxed pup and know she was well looked after. I will definitely hire Monique again in the future! Thanks, Monique :)”

“We rebooked Amber since she did so well with our 5 month and 2 year old pups. She was once again fantastic with great updates and our dogs love her! We’ll definitely be booking her again.”

About: **Dogs** I had my best friend Nila, a Jack Russell Terrier, for 17 loving years. Caring for Nila was the biggest joy in my life, and now I'd like to share that joy with other pets! Things that I learned along the way include positive reinforcement training, leash manners, socialization, grooming, and medication administration: - Positive Reinforcement Training: Jack Russell Terriers are very smart and high-energy. Nila thrived with positive reinforcement training and enjoyed learning many useful commands. She loved playing on playgrounds at the park as make-shift agility courses, and continued to eagerly learn new tricks throughout her life. I'm happy to work together to keep your training consistent- even when you have to be away. Maintaining their familiar structure keeps the training active, reduces your pet's stress, and even helps them learn new tricks more quickly! - Leash Training: Nila loved both short and long walks, both in new places and in her familiar neighborhood. Her leash manners and experience in various terrains made our walks more fun. Being trained to focus on my direction and guidance, she knew was safe with me. Feeling safe helps pets focus on the best part of their walk- the smells! If you need help with leash manners or just want to maintain your current leash training, I'd love to help you guide your pup. - Socialization: Due to constant adventuring, Nila loved other dogs, loved people, and respected cats and their claws! I enjoy paying special attention to the communication of beloved seniors and adult dogs. Learning the unique language of each pet is important to me so that I can anticipate their needs and ensure they are comfortable. This keeps them safe and happy and helps prevent mishaps. If socialization is important to you, I am confident I can safely and slowly introduce new experiences to your pet. - Grooming: Nila enjoyed her "spa days": a bath in the tub, drying off with a towel, being brushed, having her teeth brushed, and her nails clipped. I am experienced in helping dogs become acclimated to being handled and groomed. If your dog has grooming needs such as being brushed often, I'm happy to help! - Medication Administration: In our last years together, from 2021 to 2023, Nila took medications and supplements for her arthritis on a schedule. Over time my experience includes: pill tablets, liquid via an oral syringe, powder from capsules mixed into food, and treats. I do not have experience with injectable medications, but am happy to learn. **Cats** I recently cared for an 11yr old senior cat, Rosie. I enjoyed her company for a year before she found her furever home. Rosie is a complete sweetheart and I realized that although I've always considered myself a "dog person"- I *adore* cats. I just needed to learn more about them. By paying close attention, I found ways to improve Rosie's quality of life. When she arrived she had mats in her fur. After consulting the vet, she now takes Cosequin supplements and is able to groom herself more appropriately. Also, her original litter box was not working well for her. After observation, I realized she urinates while standing- so her litter box experience (and mine) improved when I incorporated a larger, taller litter box. Rosie taught me about litter box training, adventure training (in a halter and leash), playtime, feeding, body language, and grooming. I feel confident in: - Keeping your kitty happy and healthy with a clean litter box - Being mindful and fastidious about safety when it comes to any outside time, adventuring, or playtime - Consistency with feeding and following care instructions - Respecting your cat's body language and communication around being handled, approached, or groomed so they will feel safe with me - Keeping track of how a kitty is particular and their consistent schedule I am self-employed and work remotely from home, so my schedule is flexible. I'm naturally more active in the afternoons and evenings. If requesting dog walking after sunset, let’s discuss safety first due to darkness. **Covid safety** - I am Covid-conscious and will be wearing a fit-tested N95 or elastomeric respirator in all interactions with you and in your home. Due to this, overnight pet sitting will require health and safety discussions as part of the booking process - Please inform me in advance if you or anyone in your home is feeling under the weather so we can reschedule, as I am immunocompromised - Before entering my home, I will provide an N95 for you to wear at the door **Pet sitting in my home** - I accept only one client at a time for pet daycare to be sure they are receiving my undivided attention - I live in a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor. There is no carpeting, but there are rugs for comfort. I have refrigerated air, so it’s nice and cool on hot days - Pets are allowed on furniture if you're okay with it! I love cuddles with furry friends **Drop-in visits in your home** - Please inform me of any concerns for your pet in your home or in your neighborhood. For example: is there is a dog in a yard on your typical walking route that causes anxiety for your pet I should avoid? Or a door to a particular room that I need to be sure is always shut completely? **Dog walking** - I accept only one client at a time for dog walks to be sure they are receiving my undivided attention. If you have multiple dogs, let’s chat first to see if we are a good match - I can walk small to medium-sized dogs. I cannot walk large dogs because I am too small to physically maneuver them if needed **General furbaby care** - I enjoy sending updates, photos, and videos to pet parents. I understand how much they mean to you and want you to know they are in good hands! - I am attentive to all the details of your care instructions for your furry friend - I prefer to schedule meet & greets prior to service if possible - I can do pick-ups and drop-offs upon request. I can provide a seatbelt if you don’t have one. Please inform me if your pet gets car sick so I can prepare my vehicle for any accidents **Lastly: I used Rover in the past to find great dog sitters for Nila- so I understand the importance of a great fit. I look forward to caring for your pets!**
Guadalupe Village pet parents share their Rover experiences
Catherine was fantastic. My cat Alien loved the attention and daily brushing. Catherine also changed out litter box and vacuumed when it needed it. She also watered my plants. We were gone for almost 3 weeks and I never felt like I had to worry. She also sent photos and videos regularly which I really appreciated. Catherine was very good. I highly recommend her for your house sitting or pet sitting needs,

Jody is so lovely and sweet! They took the time to learn about Rudy and his quirks and separation anxiety, and then ask how they could help with the process. They took amazing notes and provided me with a lot of feed back. It’s always a pleasure to work with Jody and I’m glad to have someone who can help me when I need a doggy babysitter! Much appreciated!

I am beyond impressed with Patrick and calm demeanor. He did amazing with our pack and they took to him very quickly and we have a pack 4 pups and our chicken's We received notification from him getting to our home and at the end of the visit as well, received pictures of everyone. We all want an amazing sitter I believe we found that in Patrick. I will definitely be a repeat.
