“Jeanne was great with my pup. She sent regular pictures and made me feel comfortable knowing he was well cared for. Not only was she always responsive, she showed a depth of knowledge regarding canine body language that made me know Kilo would be safe and cared for in my absence!”

“Genny was absolutely amazing! She sent so many photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I could tell my dog felt completely relaxed and comfortable in her care—he looked so happy in every picture! It’s clear how much she genuinely cares for the pets she watches, and I’m so grateful for the attention and love she gave him. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Genny again!”

“Sarah was awesome. I will definitely use her again as well as recommend using her. I felt comfortable leaving Colby with her, usually when I board him I have some anxiety especially now that he's older, but I didn't this time. After getting Colby back home it took him a day to get back to himself, I think Sarah spoiled him 😊”

“Marie was great! She updated us daily with photos of Poker and all the fun he was having through the week stay. We can’t thank Marie enough for taking such great care of our fur baby and would certainly recommend her to anyone!”

“Jennifer is so awesome and her little Edie did such an awesome job of making Mylee comfortable and happy during her stay. Mylee came home so tired from playing all day and from what I hear everyday of her stay thanks to her new friend Edie. I finally feel good about going on vacation without my little Mylee because I know she will be happy at Jennifer's home especially because she has little Edie to play with.”

“I had a great experience with Jennifer. She took real good care of my doggo Max. He was happy, well-fed, and got plenty of playtime with Charlie! (Jennifer's Pup) Jennifer was the best with updated photos, which gave me peace of mind that he was happy and being taken care of while I was out of town. Jennifer also was great with administering some medications (antibiotics and eardrops for his ear infection) to Max during his stay. She is a real dog person! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Joshua & Jade were wonderful! They kept me informed of how Cash was doing. The pictures were great and helped reduce my stress about leaving him. I will definitely be booking again and using some of the daycare services.”

“Liz and her family were absolutely amazing! So welcoming and I was completely comfortable leaving my puppy with her. Also was great that she has a fenced in back yard and sent pics and videos too which was nice. I definitely will continue to use Liz whenever I need a sitter again:)”

“It was obvious when I picked her up that my pup enjoyed her stay with Pam. This was her first time staying out of the home without me. I received lots of photo updates throughout the stay and was at ease knowing she was in great hands! Great communication from pre-booking to after pick up :)”

“Can't say enough good about Tara. First, she provided care with very little notice and replied quickly so that took a lot of pressure off my situation. She was just the right fit for my little guy who has some separation anxiety, so it allowed me not to worry so much. Tara sent me pictures everyday and let me know how he was eating as he is a picky eater. 100% I would use Tara again for her wonderful care of my dog.”

“We always have complete peace of mind leaving our dogs in their care. They treat our pups like family and provide great updates and pictures while we’re away. Their communication, reliability, and genuine love for animals make them the best dog sitters we could ask for. Highly recommend!”

“Hands down the best sitter we’ve ever had! took such incredible care of Frankie. Between daily walks, outings with her dog, and her sweet kids giving him so much love, Frankie felt right at home. He normally freaks out from separation anxiety when I pick him up, but he was completely calm and happy. That spoke volumes! Absolute green flags all around—we’ll definitely be using them again whenever we can.”

“Kathy and Dennis treated our pup so well. As if he was theirs. They sent updates throughout the day on how he was doing and sent pictures as well. We highly, highly, highly recommend them to care for your dogs as well. We did a meet and greet in advance to see if we would be comfortable as well as our pup. It went great from the start. Excellent communication and care for our little guy Tucker.”

“The absolute best! Willow came home exhausted from daily walks, snuggles, and lots of attention from Brittany and her family. She was very communicative and kept us up to date! Lots of pictures and videos. Will use again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Alice was amazing! My senior dog has separation anxiety and is usually home with me all day, so I was a bit concerned about leaving her with someone new, but Alice was very accommodating and helpful in answering any concerns I had. She provided me with updates and photos throughout my dog's stay which was a major relief. I will definitely be using her again for any future needs. Highly recommend!”

“Aaryn and Angela were great with our dog, Millie! They made sure she was well taken care of and kept a constant flow of communication with us while she was in their care. We will definitely book again!”
“Kathy did a great job taking care of my boys. I loved the pictures that she sent me. They looked happy to be there. Kathy also helped Cam get through his ear infection that he got a few days before his stay 🤗”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was little. We've always had at least 1. I'm also a wildlife rehabber and have worked at a doggy day care before so I'm comfortable giving medicine or taking care of wounds if need be. I'm working part-time at the moment and would love to fill up my free time taking care of your animals. I'm available mostly middle of the week but can do in house check ins or dog walks in mornings and evenings on weekends. I have a fenced in back yard and 2 dogs for them to play with and run! I can also offer inside animal sitting with or without a crate. I'm also willing to travel to do in home check ins, feedings, walking, playing.
“The best dog sitting experience I could have asked for! This was my first time boarding my American Bully, Chico, with someone outside of family or dogs he already knows, so I was definitely nervous at first. After doing the meet and greet with Elicia and her 2 dogs, Shadow and Orion, I felt so much better. Her dogs were amazing, very friendly, and Chico got along with them right away. They’re even bigger than him, but everything went great. One of the main reasons I chose Elicia is because she has dogs of her own, and I loved that Chico would have a fun play date and a comfortable sleepover instead of just being boarded somewhere. **Communication and updates** From the very first day, Elicia was excellent with communication. She sent pictures, updates on Chico’s demeanor, how he was feeling, whether he was eating, and how he was settling in. We even FaceTimed, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Like most dogs, Chico didn’t eat right away on the first day, but Elicia handled it perfectly because she clearly has experience with dogs and understands how they adjust. **Care and supervision** What I appreciated most is that Chico was actually supervised and cared for. I previously tried a dog boarding place in the area that I will not name, and Chico came back with scratches on his nose from a fence, which was very upsetting. With Elicia, it was completely different. Chico came back clean, happy, and his nose was perfectly fine. That showed me he was being watched, cared for, and treated the right way. **Environment** Elicia and her husband are very nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. Their backyard is big, which gives the dogs plenty of room to play and enjoy themselves. It felt much more personal and comfortable than a traditional boarding facility. **Reliability** Elicia was also very prompt and on time for the meet and greet, pickup, and drop off. That matters a lot, especially when you’re traveling and trying to coordinate everything. **Worth every dollar** Whatever Elicia charges for dog sitting, she’s absolutely worth it. The peace of mind, the communication, the supervision, and the way she cared for Chico made the entire experience worth every dollar. When it comes to trusting someone with your dog, you want someone who treats them like family, and that’s exactly how I felt with Elicia. - Would I use her again? 100% yes - I travel often for business and family, and I would absolutely have Chico stay with Elicia again. I’m very happy with the experience and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and caring to watch their dog. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions about my experience.”

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
