“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

When caring for pets, whether in my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, secure environment with a fully fenced yard that offers plenty of room for pets to run and play safely. We also have sidewalks throughout the neighborhood perfect for walks, a puppy play pen for supervised fun, and plenty of space to crate pets comfortably if needed. All areas are pet-proofed to prevent accidents, and I carefully manage food, toys, and any medications. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I make sure doors and gates are secure, hazardous items are out of reach, and I maintain open communication with owners about any special needs or behaviors. I have personally rescued several senior pets- cats and dogs, and I am very comfortable with medication administration, physical ambulatory assistance, and incontinence support.
