“Sarah is awesome! She is very accommodating. My 14-year-old dog has arthritis and her home is one story and she has a nice fenced in yard which is perfect for him. We love her updates and photos sent as well reassuring us .We will be booking again for sure!”

“Charlie is the best sitter I have encountered on Rover. The set-up he has for the dogs allow great exercise, monitored socialization and tons of love. I have never had a bad experience with him and will continue to rebook with him for his services. He is extremely flexible and communicative throughout the entire stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

“Shaynna and her children took such good care of Teddy, yet again! Shaynna is so kind and amazing and she always takes care of Teddy’s needs perfectly. I have no worries when my baby boy is with her and her family and I’m beyond grateful for them! ❤️”

“Ms.Rosa and her family are excellent sitters!! They welcomed and cared for our dog as if he was a permanent part of their family. We will definitely use them again when we go away. 😊”

“Payten was amazing. I will definitely be using her again. It was my baby's first time being with a sitter. He is very reserved and stubborn, but he really warmed up and trusted her. That right there shows me that she is a person to be trusted. She kept me updated regularly, even sending pictures. Thank you Payten!”

“Donna and Scott’s care was exceptional and they definitely went above and beyond to make Ziggy feel at home. It was very stressful when we realized the family that usually watches him couldn’t take care of him. The thought of boarding him was upsetting and doing so would have ruined our vacation. Our vacation was great and Donna and Scott sent many pictures that really contributed to its success. Very caring people. We couldn’t be any happier.”
“Kelsie is great! Welcomed my dog into her home and treated her like family. Communication was quick and easy and she was more than willing to give me updates/pics. I will 100% use her again :)”

“Lejune always treats our boy like he's her own. We never have any worries, and he loves playing with her son and their pupper. She's worth every penny. She noticed Rowan had itchy paws and got him some meds, played in the kiddy pool, and sent great updates and photos. We dont use anyone else.”

“Jesse provided excellent care and socialization for my one year old pup while I was out of town for a week. She kept me updated with lots of photos and videos each day, and let me know of any concerns. The daily feedback gave me peace of mind that my pup was safe and happy, and I could enjoy my trip. I highly recommend Jesse for pet boarding.”

“Tina has been wonderful with our dog. He has a great time with her. We really appreciate that she's available on holidays and we don't have to make other arrangements.”

“Tyson was well taken care of while we were on vacation for a week. Renee sent me photos everyday showing how spoiled he was getting! He had an amazing time and was exhausted after I picked him up. Thank you!”

“Emily was wonderful. Very responsive and took great care of my dog. She also was very accommodating when I arrived back later then expected to pick up my dog. Will definitely use her again.”

“Brisket got to play with other dogs every day and he was so well socialized and so cared for. I would highly recommend Ellen to any others that need to board a dog for a week. I will definitely be using Ellen again.”

“Our 1.5yr old puppy, Birdie, was in the very best hands with Melissa during a recent boarding! Melissa is thorough in her intake, noting Birdie's food allergies and current schedule, and is warm and gentle in helping pups acclimate to a new environment. Melissa maintained Birdie's schedule, giving her plenty of outdoor and play time, and administered Birdie's medication, giving us peace of mind to focus on family. We enjoyed the handful of photos Melissa sent along the way and always appreciate her responsive communication. Melissa is deeply professional and the most thorough and warm caretaker and our expectations are always surpassed when Birdie is with Melissa!”

About: I grew up in a dog-loving home—there was never a time we didn’t have a furry friend in the family. Since my very first pet, I’ve enjoyed caring for animals. Now as an adult, I have a dog and a cat of my own. My pup is a high-energy guy that I’ve raised since he was a puppy. We went through all the training together—lots of patience, consistency, and treats!—and now he’s a well-behaved, happy companion who keeps me on my toes. My cat is curious and full of personality, always finding new spots to nap and new ways to charm everyone. Fun Facts Just About Me: I moved to Hagerstown with my husband, 2 dogs and cat a few years ago. My husband and I recently got married in May 2026. I play adult softball and kickball. I love to be outside whether it's walking the dogs, attempting to garden or being on the water. Since I work from home, I’m lucky to spend lots of quality time with my pets throughout the day, and I’d love to extend that care and attention to your furry family members too. Whether it’s going for walks, sticking to a feeding routine, or just offering companionship, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home. When caring for pets, whether in my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, secure environment with a fully fenced yard that offers plenty of room for pets to run and play safely. We also have sidewalks throughout the neighborhood perfect for walks, a puppy play pen for supervised fun, and plenty of space to crate pets comfortably if needed. All areas are pet-proofed to prevent accidents, and I carefully manage food, toys, and any medications. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I make sure doors and gates are secure, hazardous items are out of reach, and I maintain open communication with owners about any special needs or behaviors. Building trust with pets and their families is important to me, so I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs.
“Danny was great. Kept me informed and sent pics of Finn. This was the first time I left Finn for such a long time, but I think I missed him more than he missed me. I will use Danny in the future to take care of Finn.”

“Lillie and Dawson had a great time with Joel and Janelle. We know our babies and happy, safe and very well taken care of. We have already booked again! 🐾❤️”

“I am so very pleased with Cheryl and her furry family. Cheryl was very meticulous about assessing my dogs needs and care right from the start. My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! If you're looking for a caretaker that will provide top notch care and treat your furry companion with the love and respect they deserve, then look no further and reach out to Cheryl.”

“Megan took such great care of our dog! She kept us updated with photos throughout our stay and we could see how happy our pup was. Her kids were also so incredibly sweet and gentle with her! Definitely recommend and will absolutely be rebooking when we’re in need of a sitter in this area!”

“Lilly stayed for the second time this summer with Diana. We always get updates and pictures during her stay. You can tell that she goes above and beyond during her stay.”

“Angela always does a great job with our kitties. We appreciate the updates and many pictures we get each day that she visits our home. Never had an issue or concern. We only book with her and will continue to do so.”

“Sarah has been taking care of my Charlie and Fiona since early summer. Usually, this is weekly Drop-In Visits, but recently I boarded Charlie dog with her for over two weeks while she made daily Drop-Ins for Fiona cat. Charlie was already familiar with Sarah’s home and friends with another of her frequent canine guests. He had a wonderful vacation with lots of treats and attention from Sarah’s family. Friendly Fiona benefited from daily social interaction with Sarah and was especially affectionate with her son. I myself was able to have an amazing trip knowing my animal family was in the best possible hands back home. Sarah is my Number 1 Rover Sitter!”

“Christina was lovely with our two cats and even provided medication and let us know when we had an ant problem while we are gone! Great sitter who loves animals! 🐈⬛🐾🖤”

“Kayla is such an amazing pet sitter. Our high energy 2 year old GSP just LOVES when she visits for a potty break and to play. This is evident from the photos that she sends after each visit. I feel so secure with her entering our home and taking care of our beloved dog. I would give her 10 stars if I could! She is so responsive to requests and is the perfect substitue in our absense. She follows up her visits with a detailed account. Book a visit with Kayla... you will be elated with the results!”

“Amber was incredible with my cat, Gus! She stayed with him while I was gone for a few days and sent me pictures every day! I would 100% have her stay with him again, in fact, I even referred her to my family. So that should tell you something!!”

“Corrinna did a wonderful job caring for our cat while we were away this week. Coming home, it was clear that our cat had been well cared for, happy to see us, but relaxed and content, which tells us all of her needs were met while we were gone. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our pet was in such good hands. We truly appreciate Corrinna’s care, reliability, and attention, and we would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Our kitties were very well cared for by Victoria. Our shy, timid cat even came out to visit with her for a few photos, so it was nice to see both of our girls were comfortable with Victoria. We will definitely use her again to check in on our cats when we travel.”

“Caitlyn was an amazing sitter. The booking was truly last minute and she responded right away. She was super attentive to our furry friends and, when we returned, surprised us with teaching one of our dogs a new trick! I would definitely recommend her for anyone interested in having someone who is truly caring watch over their pets.”

“Jesse helped us out with a very last minute request to watch our dog for the day and we’re so glad we found her! Our dog had a great time at doggie day care with Jesse and her family. They provided her with lots of exercise and play, as well as lots of love. I showed up to one happy dog at the end of the day. Jesse is a good communicator and provided updates and pics from the day. We would recommend Jesse for any dog sitting needs!”

“Nadia took the time to get to know me and Walter's needs, before just accepting any offer! I was greeted with smiling faces (her and her 3 kids), and right away Walter was home away from hom! During his time there he also became besties with their family dog and really enjoyed how much attention they gave him. He came back to me completely pooped and I appreciate Nadia's attentiveness to Walter !”

I bring a calm, nurturing energy that pets respond to naturally, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. What sets me apart is my attention to detail, reliability, and the extra love I give whether it’s sticking to a pet’s specific routine, sending thoughtful updates, or taking time to build trust with shy or anxious pets. I work full-time from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive and consistent care throughout the day. My mornings start with taking my three children to daycare and school, after which I return home to begin my desk job. This setup allows me to check in on pets regularly, provide companionship, and stick to feeding, walking, or playtime schedules with ease. In the evenings, I do take my children to sports practices during the week, and when appropriate, I’m happy to bring pets along for a change of scenery and extra attention. “Anna, was very friendly ☺️ and patient with Dulce. Our little dog is very spoiled because she's always with us, and leaving her behind was absolutely necessary, but Anna did everything she could to make her feel comfortable and welcome.Thank you again Anna.”

While working in the daycare I got a lot of experience in supervising and caring for multiple dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being, managing playgroups, and cleaning. For working in the vet med side of things I have experience assisting veterinarians and technicians, handling animals for examinations and treatments, administering medications, and providing post-operative care. Along with the broad range of pet-sitting duties, such as feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship for various types of animals in different settings. My day starts super early usually with the sound of tiny paws scampering around- that’s my puppy! Pringle. We do many little walks through out the day and our evenings are dedicated to his training, playtime, long walks and cuddles. I prioritize every pets safety by hazard-proofing the environment and meeting their exact needs to make sure they’re comfortable with me and happy in the environment.

I love all animals and caring for them! Ive taken 2 pre-vet classes and would love to have a job working with animals full-time, no matter the job! As of now, I am caring for my 2 cats and leopard gecko! I only work Thurs-Sun, never more than 8 hours + my other job I can pick my own schedule! I am free all other weekdays to be able to take care of your pets! I am no longer able to do house sitting because I now have a baby to take care of, but if they are good with kids and cats, your pet is more than welcome to come stay with us! Let me know if your pet has any allergies or dietary restrictions so they can be as healthy and happy as possible
About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure

“My dog loves to stay at Danny's house. This has been such a help since my doggy day care closed. Keeps me informed and sends pictures. I'd recommend him as an excellent care giver.”

About: Hi, I'm Suzie and I'll turn 62 this month... That is almost how long that I've been a pet owner from dogs, cats, horses, ponies, chickens cows, peacocks.. I'm also a Registered Nurse who worked critical care for 11 years and have been an RN for 35 years. I'm very comfortable with injections, and giving meds, assessing the animal and knowing when to call a vet. I have a Newfoundland here and a newfie/great dane cross, 3 house cats, and then the rest of the animals outside. The dog yard has a pet door that leads into a small area in my kitchen that is currently fenced off so no one gets free run of the house unless supervised. They can come and go back and forth as much as they want to. My back yard is lined with 4 board fencing that also has American wire in the inside to keep little ones in. I'm currently working flex at the hospital so I'm actually home almost all the time. I have a roommate that helps with the farm and the dogs when I'm not here. I'm a home body so I'm home here almost all the time. I have a 4 board fenced in yard that is also lined on the inside with American wire for my yard and have chains on the gates leading into and out of the yard. My fence is 5 ft high. There is a pet door leading into the kitchen which has a small fenced in area inside the kitchen so that the dogs can be contained just in case they are wet. I allow them into the house once they are dry.
“Jackie did an awesome job with our dog Molly. Molly had back surgery in Nov2016 with surgeon recommend restrictions of no jumping on or off furniture and no more than three stairs. Jackie accommodated that concern and ensured that Molly had a good day. The meet and greet ahead of time went very well and communication during Molly's stay was good. I will use Jackie again.”

“Hannah did a great job once Fitz got settled she said he was great and he seemed like he had a great time when he got home he wanted to relax cause he had a blast with the other dogs and Hannah”

About: I grew up caring, training and assisting in raising German Shepherds since I was 5 yrs old. I trained my first German Shepherd at age 11 and placed second in obedience and showmanship competition. Have also grown up with having a cat. Been in charge of taking care of neighbors dogs, cats, horses and cows since I was 12. Throughout the years I have taken care of dogs from birth to elderly. I also have one year of experience working at a vet clinic and have been a certified barn manager (I didn't pay to renew my certification). Thus, I am familiar with various care and prevention strategies for all kinds of animals. I am currently an occupational therapist; thus, I am mainly available on the weekends with a semi-flexible schedule. Reach out to me and we will discuss the details and see if there is something that can work for both of us. If I am unavailable for the weekend, I try to have it updated on my calendar. In taking dogs on walks I am careful to avoid walking near other dogs and observe surroundings that may cause an issue. I also pay attention to behavior factors such if the dog is showing beginning signs of getting hot or tired.
