“Amy was amazing with our fur babies, she cared for them they like they were her own and we felt so safe and comfortable with her in our home. We 100% would recommend to friends or family !!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 11. I recently had to let my two girls go, so I’m looking forward to loving on your babies. I have experience with puppies all the way to senior dogs. Both of my girls needed medication towards the end, so I’m familiar with administering pills on a schedule and anything else that goes with owning a senior dog. My oldest had dementia, so if your pup has that, I can handle the quirks that come with that. I’ve also watched my friends bigger dogs, and they love just as much cuddles as the little ones do. Taking your fur baby out for walks, cuddling with them, and playing with their favorite toys would bring so much joy. You’ll have peace of mind (and updates) if you let me take care of them like you would. I am a teacher, so during the weekends and summer I have all the time to spoil your precious baby. Being a teacher also means I can spend extended time with your pet during the summer. I’m very good at following schedules and routines to help make your pet feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I will love on them, play with them, and do anything else you need so both of you feel relaxed while you’re at work or on a trip.
“This is the third time Jordan has worked with us. She is just as amazing every time. Martin is always given so much love and taken care of so well. We really appreciate having someone to watch him that we know he is completely safe and happy with! We will continue to work with her in the future.”

“Felicia was amazing! We came home to happy dogs and a clean home. Thank you for everything. We’ll be in touch for another upcoming trip we’ll need your services for!”

“I would be so hesitant to leave our dogs with anyone but Kelsey. This is the third time we've booked him for in home sitting and each time we come home, the pups are healthy and happy. This trip especially was important to us because it was our wedding and honeymoon. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy either without someone we trusted and appreciated as much as him.”

“Hannah was able to help on short notice when I had to unexpectedly extend a trip due to illness. She asked lots of questions to make sure she was on top of everything, especially since we weren't able to do a usual meet and greet in advance. She kept me informed about the pets during her entire stay. Her willingness to be flexible and communicative made an awful situation less stressful.”

“This is the first time we have ever left our dogs with someone outside of family. We recently moved to Chesapeake and had to to California for my daughter's graduation from college. I had been fretting about being so far away from our fur babies and leaving them with someone we did not know. We felt comfortable with Emmaleigh the moment we met her. She listen to us and our needs for our dogs. Our dogs are barkers and they barked during the meet and greet. But, they did so well when she came to watch them. I received pictures daily and she eased my fears of leaving them. I recommend Emmaleigh.”

About: Hi! I'm Nathalie and I live in the Riverwalk area of Chesapeake VA. I joined Rover, to be totally honest, because I love dogs more than people (and I don’t even feel bad about it 🐶). I've had dogs in my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. My own beloved dog (my little Chihuahua pictured) passed away last year, and while I’m not ready to get another one just yet, my heart has so much dog love to give. That’s why I’d be honored to care for your dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s cuddles on the couch, long walks, or just making sure they feel safe and loved while you're away, I’m here for it. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your dog with someone else, but with me, your dog will be in experienced, trustworthy hands. If you’d like, I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos (I love taking photos!!!), so you can relax knowing your furry child is being showered with love. I am a Naval Officer, but I am currently not working lots of hours so I certainly have time for afternoon and/or evening walks and can even stay at your house if you prefer. Let’s make sure your dog gets the attention, playtime, and care they deserve. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged family member! 🐾💕 *** If your dog is crate trained and very well house trained, we can talk about boarding him/her also at my house. I’d like to offer that on a case by case basis after I met your dog. *** I work less than an 8hr job (Mo-Fri) at the moment and usually go to the gym in the afternoon but can make that schedule flexible. On a work day, I usually go to bed by 9pm, but may go on an occasional dinner with friends during the week. But my afternoon and evening schedules can be flexible pending your dog needs. You tell me what your dog needs. I have pampered my dog plenty. He had his own blanket he wanted folded in my bed a certain way before he was willing to lay down for the night by my side… so no ask is too big to comfort you and know that your dog is taken care off the way you feel comfortable when you are not home.

“Gracie was wonderful! Our pets were well cared for and house was kept tidy. She sent multiple updates and photos each day, and asked questions if she needed assistance. We would happily rebook Gracie another time.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Elasa and Stephen! They took excellent care of both our dogs and cats, including administering medications without any issues. We really appreciated the daily updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We were delayed coming home and they came back to check on the dogs. We came home to a clean house and, most importantly, very happy and well-cared-for pets. Highly recommend!”

“Morgan was awesome with Ginger and the house. She was engaged with her and made sure she had lots of playtime. She was reliable, prompt, good communicator. and a great listener. She did everything I had asked for. Ginger enjoyed her company :)”

“Did a great job taking care of Luna (dog) and KB (rabbit) over the thanksgiving holidays. He was able to take Luna on a walk and get her out of the house which was perfect for her. Would re-book again in a heart beat for my next travel needs.”

“Miranda was wonderful at taking care of my cat and two rats while we were traveling! She was able to handle last minute medication needs with ease and was very understanding of my cat’s cattitude while he was missing us. She did a wonderful job of communicating with us throughout our trip as well!”

“JaNasia is incredibly kind, patient, and responsible. She was able to handle our small zoo without issue and was always responsive and easy to reach. Will definitely be reaching out to book with her again!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive hands on experience with a wide variety of pets. I've had pets my whole life and have cared for them through everything, from administering medications and bathing them to all the usual daily care. My background includes working on a farm where I cared for the goats, cows, chickens, and a little barn cat! so I'm comfortable with many different kinds of animals. My schedule is primarily open in the afternoons, but I get off fairly early, which allows me that flexibility to provide the attention and care pets need whenever required. I'm currently working part time! I work morning shift so i'm always free in the evenings! I get off no later than 3PM! Which leaves time for me to spend the evening loving and caring for your pets! I always ask owners about their dog's specific preferences and routines to ensure their comfort and happiness during their stay. I'll make sure to note down exactly what your dog enjoys and how they like to spend their time and energy, all while keeping the home tidy and the pets happy.
About: Hi there! I’m a friendly, bubbly dog lover serving the Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Portsmouth areas. Whether I’m caring for a tiny puppy, a gentle senior, or a big goofy breed with lots of personality, I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. Dogs bring so much joy into my life, and I love giving that same joy right back through reliable, attentive care. I am in the military, but my schedule is really flexible and im off every weekends, I go to work at 08am on weekdays so I have time to take the dogs out before work and at 2pm when I get back. I take safety seriously. I monitor all dogs closely, follow your instructions carefully, and make sure every walk, visit, or stay is secure and stress‑free. I’m comfortable with leashes, crates, feeding routines, and managing multiple dogs at once.
“Emma was great! She communicated before, during and after our trip. She followed all instructions, and even our nervous pets loved her. She learned how to give our diabetic cat insulin shots. And at the end she cleaned more than we asked, so we had a nice clean home to return to. Thanks Emma!”

Akemi was great when housesitting for me. My dog is very shy and selective but she was able to get him to go outside, eat, and even lounge on the couch with her. Akemi was also very respectful of my home and left it just it was when she arrived. She is also great about keeping me updated on her daily agenda when it came to my dog and shared many photos of him throughout the days. Highly recommend! :)

Kathy was absolutely fantastic. She made a point to come meet everyone before the sitting, was personable and thoughtful, and was a fantastic communicator both before and during the sitting. She made sure to send pictures and updates throughout the stay to keep me updated on how things were going. My pets were absolutely spoiled during Kathy's stay, and it is obvious she went above and beyond to make them feel loved. I cannot recommend Kathy highly enough.

Amberlee was a life saver! We had booked someone else for Thanksgiving vacation but the had a family emergency and were unable to watch our dogs in our home. Amberlee was available and met me 2 days later (2 days before our trip). She was super responsive, friendly, and easy to work with. One of our Danes is a little tough to befriend, especially when we are not around. She warmed up to Amberlee almost immediately. She sent multiple pictures of the dogs over the trip (which made my wife happy). She reached out to find out what our arrival time was and stopped in to make sure the pups were on until we returned. Not only was Amberlee a life saver in a pinch, she is now our new Dogsitter for any trip we take!

Where to even begin with how amazing Kim was.. This was our first time using Rover for watching our dogs in our own home and we couldn't have been happier with everything! She was very responsive with anything we sent and Kim sent pictures and videos daily! Without hesitation we would use or recommend Kim every single time!!

Melissa house-sat for us over the weekend taking care of our dog and cat. She was prompt and kept them on schedule. She was very communicative on any questions and sent lots of pictures. She left the house tidy and even took out the trash for us as we had forgotten before we left. We would definitely recommend her and use her again in future.
