“Our nervous dog is always well cared for at Emily’s house! Emily is communicative and professional; very easy to work with. Her home is calm and safe and full of love.”

About: I love all animals. I have the most experience with small-medium dogs with fairly high energy. I love playing with pets and forming genuine connections with them as they each have their own unique personalities! I’m currently working part time at a boba drink shop but only about 9-12 hours a week. I specifically like to pet sit because it gives me more hands-on experience with animals, and i’m planning to study pre-vet at boston u. I sometimes care for multiple pets each day, especially for repeat customers! I find that regardless of the actual money made, spending time with pets itself is such a fun part of my week :) When boarding at my home, I keep the pets completely separate from my current pets in order to prevent conflict. I live in a large family home with 3 floors and many rooms so there plenty of room to provide a separate environment for the pets I service! If wanted, I also have experience with bathing dogs so i’m very open to that extra service if wanted. At other people’s homes i’m very respectful of their property and their pets health. I only offer treats when given permission and I provide extra effort into making sure the home is securely locked and clean before leaving.

“I wish I could give 10 star for Aditi, Mick, and their absolutely amazing sons for taking such wonderful care of my Lucah! Lucah is very finicky about who he deals with and he fit right in with the Maunanks with no hesitation. He loved their huge backyard and playing with the kids and protecting the family. 😆 I can’t thank them enough for putting my mind at ease and keeping my little guy happy. I will definitely recommend the Maunanks to anyone needing someone that’s attentive, amazing, and most of all caring towards their fur babies.”

She genuinely cares for the dogs she watches, and it shows in every interaction. I'm so glad we found someone we trust completely with our fur baby. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m Ingrid, a mom of 4 boys ages 3-12 and a dog owner to a boy Beagle named Otis. I’ve had dogs all my life and love being with them and caring for them! (I even trained my Beagle myself from a puppy!) We have a large house in the country on 2.5 acres of land. We LOVE having other dogs stay and visit! Otis and the children are very good with other dogs! Other than taking care of the house and kids, taking care of dogs is my only other job, so your pup will get plenty of needed attention and have lots of fun with us!!! We have lots of yard, but no fence, so outside time will be on leash only- (we have long leashes for more freedom to roam). Inside is more flexible with free roam in the main area- very large sunroom, living room, and kitchen. Overnight sleeping in crate only.

“Cierra was great! Really cool, down to earth person and took great care of Asher. She does have other dogs and cats and they were all pretty chill and Asher got along fine with them. Thanks Cierra!”

I can do pet sitting in the mornings, lunch time, evenings and weekends to fit your busy schedule and provide loving care to cats, dogs and reptiles I am working from home, have fenced yard, small friendly dog and kids that love animals, if you prefer me to host your pet. I can also visit your pets at your house if it works better for you.

“Layla has been coming to Dan’s for a few weeks now. She comes home happy and tired! He is easy to communicate with and his outdoor space is giant. Plenty of space to run around. I recommend!”

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

“My dog , Joy, had a wonderful time at Varsha's home for daycare. Milo is an amazing, calm little dog who was great company and made Joy feel right at home. I wouldn't hesitate to approach Varsha again to take care of Joy, even for more long-term stays.”

I work from home part time and have a ton of flexibility to care for other animals. It's something that brightens my day, too! Win-win. About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 2 year old and 5 year old and infant. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and barn cats. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, as well as worked in animal care. Professionally, i have experience as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler. I boarded dogs while attending college in Richmond, and took a break to focus on my career. Now that I have more free time I’d like to start up again as I absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash an Australian Shephard and Littles a mutt. Both love to play!! Cash is a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 14 and recently lost his sight, he’ll try and keep up with Cash but mostly he just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy in their late twenties, too many chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

About: I've been a dog-mom to three very different dogs—a German Shepherd, a Rottweiler, and an Indian street dog rescue—over nearly 30 years. They were always part of the family, traveling with us across the world through military assignments and other moves. I've loved and cared for them through every stage of life, from their energetic puppy days to the challenges of old age, gaining plenty of experience with a range of personalities and needs. I recently said goodbye to Daisy, my loyal companion of 13 years, leaving a big hole in my heart. I’m currently not working and have very few time-bound commitments, making my schedule very flexible. I am available throughout the day and over the weekends. I live in a single family home with a small unfenced yard. I am in a residential community with plenty of space to walk and green areas. There are no other pets or kids in the house.

About: I am reliable and honest and have 30+ years of pet experience. Your pet will be treated like my own fur baby and you’ll come home to a tired pup! I work full time at home with a very flexible work schedule which allows me to accommodate your crazy schedules! I find this helps to break up my days I can accommodate instructions to allow your fur baby to feel at ease when their owners are away. I have found this helps to relieve any stress and anxiety they may have .

“Vinay has taken excellent care of my Shih tzu. I was able to tell that she felt at home and received love, attention and plenty of play time. I really appreciate Vinay sharing pics. and videos during the day. Thank you Vinay !”

“Roxy had an amazing time with her and her family, while I was at work. She was so tired when she got home from all the play time! Thank you for taking such good care of Roxy!”

About: We have owned at least 2 dogs at any given time for the past 30 years and truly believe no home is complete without at least 4 paws. Our family currently has 3 dogs, with plenty of room for furry friend visitors in our 4500 square foot house and acre-and-a-half fenced in yard. I am a stay-at-home mom and my husband works from home so we are around the house at the beck and call of our dog guests 24/7. Our children have grown up with dogs of all kinds (we currently have a giant 3-year old male Great Pyrenees, a 14-year old mostly deaf female Bichon Frise, and a tiny 4 year old female chihuahua mix, who together have taught our kids how to be respectful and conscious of animals in all walks of life). That being said, for the safety of our household, we can only board dogs who are family-friendly. We are homebodies who enjoy staying in, so we are around and available nearly 24/7/365. We already care for our 3 dogs around-the-clock and would be honored to be trusted to add your dog to the mix as well. We have a fenced in yard to let dogs in and out on demand (which is already constant here anyway) and a laid back routine that can easily accommodate whatever else your pet might need. Our dogs are family members, and yours would be too for their entire stay with us. Never left alone and spoiled with attention, there isn’t a care in the world once they set foot in the door — fed, watered, walked, exercised, loved, and played with! Direct access from the house to the fenced-in backyard makes potty breaks a breeze and fresh air an easy bonus throughout the day.

About: I had dogs since my childhood. I’ve always had a deep love for caring for pets. There’s something so fulfilling about the bond that forms when you provide a safe and loving home for an animal. The way they trust you, seek your comfort, and show their affection is incredibly heartwarming. It’s more than just feeding or walking them; it’s about understanding their needs, paying attention to their quirks, and being present in their lives. Pets have this beautiful way of making you feel needed, and in return, they offer unconditional love and loyalty. Taking care of them is a true act of love and companionship. It’s a reminder of how much joy can be found in the simple moments shared with them. I work remotely during the week (Monday-Friday). I will make sure to schedule regular breaks to address their needs and spend some time with them during the work hours also. After work, I take them on longer walks around the community or spend time with them in the backyard. I also have a large basement, so if there is inclement weather, or your dog is allergy prone, they can still stay active and get the exercise they need indoors. Me and my kids love working with dogs of all sizes. I have large fenced backyard and indoor space for your pups and we will engage with the pups during playtime. My 5 year old Labrador loves to play and will be a good company for your pup. The dogs are always supervised in our care. If your pup loves to explore on their own we can separate the pets giving them personal space. We live in a non-smoking home.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12 years old. My neighbors and friends have relied on me to be a dog sitter. I and my family always are at home. We can take care of your pets either week day or weekend. We all love the dogs and play well with them. I have a dog at home and he is very friendly with every dog. I can easily crate if you prefer for your pet. Easy going.

Frances D.Star Sitter
“I asked Fran to babysit my puppy Misha while I went out of town for a week(she's six but she's a puppy to me). She impressed me when she first arrived and immediately had a rapport with my babbies . She had her in her lap in minutes curled up in doggy heaven getting petted. I have never seen her take so quickly to a stranger. I swear by the end of the week you would have thought that she had known her for years. She is the best dog sitter I have ever had. She was respectful and polite and I will definitely hire her again in the future. Also my babbies didn't pick up any bad habits while she was sitting. I've had sitters in the past that Misha would tug on her leash after they sat her, and she also started begging after this one sitter. After Fran took care of Misha she was perfect with the leash and was just as well behaved as normal. She just seemed happy and energetic at the end of the week.”
