“I cannot express enough how amazing Elizabeth was for my two babies. I had to go out of state for a week and this was the first time I needed to find someone to watch both my girls. She sent at least 3 updates everyday with pictures and or videos of them playing. I can’t wait to have her as their permanent dog sitter ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“Vasumathy is such a loving and knowledgeable dog sitter. She took care of our golden doodle for the weekend and she was absolutely fabulous about all the aspects of dogcare. She also gave us great insights about dogfood and some great tips. When I met gattu on Sunday afternoon for pick ups, he was calm and content which showed that he was safe and was in good hands. We will definitely use Vasumathy again for our future vacations!”

“It was a great experience for us and our dog Storm from the moment I requested boarding! Pam responded so quickly such a welcoming way! I felt safe instantly for our dog. Pam is such a sweet lady and truly loves animals. During boarding, she updated us about Storm with pictures and videos. Storm was really enjoying his new dog friends and made home there. It’s a great feeling that now we know where we take Storm when we go on vacation. Thank you so much Pam for taking great care of Storm!”

“Mandeep K & family were so good to Mia. We were so grateful & relived to know Mia was well taken care of while we were on our trip. Our return pickup time was delayed about an hour due to a flight luggage issue but Mandeep K was patient & understanding, had Mia ready to go when we arrived”

“Morgan took our three pups last minute over the holidays! She sent us pictures of them throughout the stay, offered incredible communication and was quickly responsive at all times. The dogs came back clean, and happy! We could tell they were well taken care of through their stay! We are so grateful for Morgan and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for boarding! 10/10!”

“Frida was so well taken care of and I had no worries at all which helped me relax while away. I love that alaina and ethan took time to inquire about Fridas special quirks. Will absolutely be using their caring services again!”

“Patricia was amazing! She sent pictures, loved my dogs, took them on walks and to a near by park, and sent me updates. She was also very flexible for me. We were an hour late to drop off due to traffic and we were able to pick them up on a Sunday at 4:30pm instead of 7pm, and Patricia was super helpful.”

About: I have had dogs all my life but love all animals. I am a mom of 3 girls, 1 dog and 3 chickens. Please let me know of any special requests your pet might need for there stay. I will do my best to make there stay as comfortable as possible so they will love their home away from home. I am a stay at home mom so I can be home with your pup, take them to the park or do pick up and drop offs. My schedule is very flexible. I have a fenced in yard and your pet will never be unattended. There is plenty of room for even the largest dog to run and play.
“Lorrie was a wonderful person to pick for my active, loud mouthed goldendoodle. She sent pictures and updates throughout our vacation and took great care of her. I was very grateful to her and will definitely try to use her again!”

“Dava took such good care of Java during a week while I attended a conference in Carlisle, PA. She sent pictures every day. Also gave Java allergy meds after asking me! Dava was awesome!”

“I am a very anxious person, Sarah took the time to work with me and my pup. Very accommodating and always asking questions to make sure we are on the same page! And Charlie is an angle!”

“Katelyn helped my dog, Pippin feel safe and welcomed while I was at the beach! He even jumped in her pool and she kept him safe there too! He had a blast and had his own mini vacation. I highly recommend Katelyn to everyone who needs affordable dog sitting.”

“We reached out to Kayla to watch our cat over the long holiday weekend with minimal notice and she was more than accommodating and made booking very easy! She is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly. She sent updates and photos every day, and Tut always looked happy and well cared for! Her family really welcomed him like one of their own. We will definitely use her again if the need arises!”

About: I have had dogs in my life since childhood. I can't imagine life without them. As my senior dog ages, I see myself caring for others pets. I work part time when it fits my schedule. I am pursuing petsitting, especially dog walking, to up my daily excercise and meet new dogs. I have a senior hound mix who I have had for 7 years. We take a long walk twice a day. She receives her medication during feeding.
“Maura was great! You can tell that she really enjoys spending time with dogs. She was easy to communicate with and kept us well informed of how Bailey was doing along with sending pictures and videos. We felt comfortable having Maura watch Bailey while we were on vacation. We would use her again.”

About: I have had the honor of having dogs my entire life. Recently, helped my daughter potty training her rescue puppies. They have become the protectors of my grandchildren. As an Empty Nester, I enjoy the simple things in life and would love to offer my services for walks during the early mornings and evenings. Additionally, if you need overnight care, I can provide that service in your home upon request. Currently, I do not have pets in my home, as I do not have a fenced yard that would allow them to safely play and enjoy outdoor activities.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Green Spring home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Green Spring.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Green Spring sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
