“I am so very pleased with Cheryl and her furry family. Cheryl was very meticulous about assessing my dogs needs and care right from the start. My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! If you're looking for a caretaker that will provide top notch care and treat your furry companion with the love and respect they deserve, then look no further and reach out to Cheryl.”

“Diana was awesome and did so well with our Hank! We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for dog sitting services. She treated our dog like he was her own. We will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“My liv had the best time here! She got to play with new friends and was extremely well cared for. I got a lot of updates and photos throughout her stay which made me feel really happy with my choice in letting her stay with these lovely people!”
“Alaina and Ethan are the cream of the crop. They are the second Careproviders I have used on Rover and as long as they are available I wont look any further. They are so loving, attentive invested and actively look for ways they can be helpful in the care of your dog. I interviewed over 12 people listed and no one came close to being the perfect match they were. I promise you you wont regret choosing them.”

“Michelle is the best, so we decided our dog deserved a vacation too. Rather than get a hotel room that takes dogs, he got to stay with Michelle and Emmy. He loves it there!💕”

“Anton took great care of Murphy, our cat while we were away for a few days. From drop off until pickup everything went smoothly. We really enjoyed the daily updates and pictures of Murphy. We will definitely book with him again in the future!”

“Trista watched my 5 month old puppy for several hours while I visited with my in-laws. She sent me several text updates throughout the day along with pictures. This was the 1st time I left our puppy with anyone - so the texts and pictures was very comforting for me. Trista has a older lab and a puppy German Shepard which were both very friendly and all the dogs played very nicely together. I would use Trista again.”

“Katelyn helped my dog, Pippin feel safe and welcomed while I was at the beach! He even jumped in her pool and she kept him safe there too! He had a blast and had his own mini vacation. I highly recommend Katelyn to everyone who needs affordable dog sitting.”

“We are so grateful to Grant for taking good care of our two girls. He was very friendly and communicative. We appreciate that he sent us photos and updates daily. His dog Charlotte was very excited to meet our girls! They all had a great time together! Grant was very accommodating with our need for flexible arrival and departure times. Thank you so much! We highly recommend Grant!”

“I really can't give a complete review because the Kayla's home is on a military base. The family met me off base. They were very nice and when I picked up my dog, she was happy and seemed fine. I wouldn't hesitate to use Kayla again.”

“Shana and Eric were very patient and calming for my dogs. I felt very comfortable with them watching my two furry friends! They even texted me updates and pictures to help ease my worried mind. I would highly recommend them!”

Your dog will love a relaxing mountain retreat! Your cat can enjoy a quiet vacation! I work full time as a teacher. I can board your pet all weekends or in the afternoons. We have 300 acres to go for walks or chase balls! My husband and 9 cats live in the main house. Our cats don’t mind other animals but I can keep your pet away from the cats if you prefer. As a 15 year high school teacher, I am very trustworthy, authentic, and kind. I admit to being a bit of a “crazy animal person” as I try to pet every animal I see! I can be trusted with your animal for an extended time or just an afternoon walk! I can also board hamsters or horses.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Heberlig home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Heberlig.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Heberlig sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
