About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs with very different breeds, personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. I’ve grown up around pit bulls and retrievers and am currently a proud Chiweenie owner. One thing I’ve learned from caring for dogs is that understanding their behavior is just as important as feeding them and taking them for walks. I’ve had experience recognizing when a dog is frightened or overstimulated and giving them the space and reassurance they need. For example, when my childhood dog became overwhelmed after a stressful interaction, I took him somewhere quiet so he could calm down. During thunderstorms and fireworks, when he would tremble with fear, I would bring him somewhere comfortable and stay with him until he settled. I’m also the person at family gatherings who naturally ends up keeping an eye on the dogs—making sure they’re getting enough exercise and attention while also making sure younger kids give them appropriate space and treat them respectfully. I’m comfortable with walks, playtime, bathing, and overnight care. I enjoy both tiring out an energetic dog and providing a calm presence for a nervous one. I’ve also cared for cats and generally find that they warm up to me pretty quickly. Most importantly, I will enjoy taking the time to learn your pet’s individual personality, routines, and boundaries. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they’re with me. I am available throughout the day. I wake up early and care for my own dog before 8 AM every day. I can come by whenever is needed or stick around if that is preferred! I start by taking any instruction from you to heart regarding your pet's personality and habits. Outside of that, I generally would like to start by having a joint meeting between me, your furry friend, and their best friend: you! That way, they can establish a level of trust for when I come by on my own. I follow the routine that you would like me to follow while remaining alert to your pet in the present, just like with my own pup.

About: I've been surrounded by dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles, frogs and fish for 35+ years. I've raised, house-trained, walked, entertained and loved a variety of dogs and cats my entire life. I never get tired of these sweet creatures! As I'm now only working part-time providing early intervention services for children, and am self-employed, I have a great deal of flexibility to care for your dogs and cats. I'm available for drop-ins to feed, play with and care for your sweet pets as needed - throughout the day and night - as well as dog-walking, as it fits into your schedule. I've spent the last 20+ years working as a teacher and developmental therapist, educating children who have developmental delays and disabilities. Now, I've decided to focus additionally on my love of animals. Since I was a small child, I've adored pets, and have many years of experience caring for a variety of them. I'm very patient and appreciative of each animal's personality. I currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own, and have used this service as a customer as well, so I can understand your point of view as "parents".

About: Owned dogs since I was young and I’ve sat for dogs for the last 8+ years. Experience with many different breeds, ages and temperaments. Just a girl with a soft spot for every dog! During weekends I am available all day, everyday and ensure to get multiple walks, potty breaks and playtime dates into the day. During the week I do work but am home every 4-6 hours to ensure potty breaks and exercise. I live in an apartment complex that offers multiple dog runs/parks. I also walk my own dog 3-5 times per day outside in the neighborhood. I am open to crating or freedom around the apartment based on what the dog needs.
