“I’ve had Becky care for my dog several times now and he loves his visits. She treats my dog as if he was one of her own and shows him just as much love as I do. I will absolutely continue to use her for this service!”

“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“Anton and his wife were great. They worked around our changing travel plans and took great care of our dog Roxy. They are excellent communicators and send timely updates and photos. I would highly recommend them to watch your pets!”

“A+ stay. Dana and Jon were very accommodating to myself and my puppy Dak, especially after getting home late due to traffic! We got frequent pictures and updates. It’s very apparent that Dak had a wonderful stay for an extended weekend. will be using again! Thanks !”
“Kona loved her stay with Pam and Mike! And we felt so good leaving her with them. Lots of photos and updates while we were away. We will definitely be booking with them again in the future!”

“Our dog, Kallie, had a wonderful time with Heather. She and her husband, Tony, were caring pet parents that made Kallie feel comfortable and like one of their family. They made us comfortable as well, keeping in contact with us and sending fun photos of Kallies visit. Thank you Heather and Tony for taking such good care of our dog and making it possible to fully enjoy our son's wedding day. Would not hesitate to book with Heather again and recommend her services if a loving pet sitter is needed.”

“Betsy and Ron provide a perfect home away from home for our Coco! They are keenly sensitive to individual pup’s personalities and needs. She even cleaned off a windowsill for Coco because looking outside is her favorite pastime. Taking only one at a time, they give your dog all the attention. Another huge plus to me—their house is spotlessly clean. 5 stars is not quite enough!”

“Jessica was amazing with Felix, kept me up to date on how he was doing and provided a bunch of pictures. This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit nervous, but she made it extremely worry free. Her dogs were extremely friendly and even welcomed Felix the minute they saw each other. I will definitely choose her to watch Felix again!”

“She was so awesome to work with answering any questions we had and took all of our concerns and requests seriously and provided Sid with wonderful care. Love the pictures and check in she sent just highly recommend”

“Michelle is the best! She gave us daily progress reports and pictures. She took care of Papi like family. She even brushed his teeth. Papi is usually afraid of everything and everyone, but warmed up to Michelle and her dog, Emmy, quickly. She gave us such peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend her and will use her again.”

“They were so great with our dog. They updated us with pictures and videos throughout the trip. Our dog got lots of playtime outside and loved playing with their 2 dogs. This was the second time we had our dog stay with them and it has been great both times!”

About: I offer a peaceful country retreat, where your dog becomes part of the family, not just another kennel guest. I believe every dog deserves patience, kindness, and plenty of attention, whether they’re a zoomie-filled puppy or a laid-back senior. I love building trust with each pet, following their routine, and making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved until you’re back home. Animals have been a constant throughout my life. I grew up around dogs and have spent years caring for my own as well as helping family and friends with theirs. Over time, I’ve learned that every dog communicates differently and thrives when their individual needs are respected. I’m attentive, dependable, and genuinely enjoy forming connections with the pets I care for, treating each one as if they were my own. Pet care is my full-time focus, which means your dog gets my full attention, not squeezed into a busy schedule. I intentionally keep my days centered around the pets in my care, allowing for plenty of playtime, exercise, cuddles, and individualized attention. Whether your pup loves adventures or prefers a quiet nap by my side, I’m committed to making them feel safe, loved, and right at home. I provide care in a peaceful home on a private one-acre property nestled in the beautiful Fishing Creek Valley. I do not have any pets of my own, so your dog will enjoy a calm, low-stress environment and receive my full attention. I only care for one family’s pets at a time, allowing me to focus completely on their individual needs and routines. Dogs are always supervised outdoors, walks are done safely on leash, and I’m happy to accommodate crates, feeding schedules, and any special instructions. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is safe, happy, and loved.
“Sandra and Antione were great! Stella seemed happy when we picked her up. Sandro was great about sending regular updates and pictures. I would definitely use them again next time I am traveling out of the Harrisburg area.”

“Heather and her husband watched our pup for a long weekend and we couldn’t be more thankful to have found her! We don’t have any family nearby. She sent pics of him while we were away and he was very well cared for. Thank you Heather! <3”

“Rosa and her daughters cared for my Luna like she was their own. Their home was clean and orderly and I felt very comfortable leaving her with them. They sent lots of videos while I was away and Luna seemed to have a great time with them and was happy and healthy when I picked her up. I was in town for a camping trip and she was very flexible with drop off and pick-up and was consistent and responsive with communication. Will definitely use her again if I’m in the area.”

“David was a wonderful caregiver to our dog. He was very responsive, flexible and provided daily updates with pictures while we were away. We were very pleased with his care.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
