About: I’ve always had such a special bond with every animal I’ve met, my mom gave me that trait. There has always been a pet in my life, whether it be dogs or cats. Ive worked at a grooming shop for the past 3 years when I lived in Cody Wyoming, where I have learned so much as well as pet CPR. Ive also done a lot of pet sitting for my own friends as well as family friends. Of course, Ive always been there to help take care of my own pets with my family, they’re definitely just as much kids as my brother and I. As a college kid, I miss my dogs and kitty back home so much, so anytime I can have with pets I take advantage of! Im currently a full time student that has a part time job on campus. Im always home every week day by 5 and Im here most weekends unless other prearranged plans happen or trips home. My work is very flexible to be able to come home and check on pets/give potty breaks! While I don’t have a fenced in yard, I live right next to a big, beautiful park. I need motivation to go out and go on walks, especially if I have the cutest partner to do it with!

About: Yes am available for Memorial Day! Thanks for considering me for all your critter care. I have provided adult foster care (for humans) and worked with developmentally disabled since 2003, but critters have been a love since...forever. Last year, I lost my last beloved wolfdog from a lineage going back to 1999. Over the years, I have been owned by some 49 dogs of various breeds (counting some puppies). There have also been a variety of lovebirds, parakeets, geese, chickens, gerbils, hamsters, rats, mice, Peruvian pigs, lizards, snakes, salamanders, fish, even spiders and an amazing Mexican huge bee...and trees. Yes, plenty of rescues, too. Where I live, a number of times cats and dogs have been discarded by people for the coyotes to eat (if not found and rehomed). There have also been a pigeon, a dove, a grackle, a ground squirrel, stray dogs in town, even an injured rattlesnake. (Yes, you finally met someone that nursed a rattlesnake back to health.) Ok, no direct care experience with horses, sheep, goats, llamas, peacocks, turkeys, cattle, or pigs, but I do tend to get along great with them. What sets me apart? Well, I think a big thing is only working with one client at a time. That means your critters will not be asked to get along with someone else's critters. (My two cats being the exception--but with repeat stays they aren't strangers, anymore. The chickens and geese have their own separate run.) Another thing, is that I can work with extra-large, powerful dogs, in general (cats would be quarantined into a part of the house). I do understand canine psychology at a high level (I was trained by wolfdogs) and know their rules. I can also work with rescues or critters that have been traumatized. People consider me reliable and trustworthy, and I am dedicated to giving critters exceptional care. Being semi-retired, I have a fully-flexible schedule and can accommodate your needs. Pet care is something that is a passion and has always been a big part of my life. Anyone that knows me at all knows this. IMPORTANT: I believe in dedicated booking--that means I only work with one pet owner at a time. Besides my two cats, there will be no other animals here during your pet's stay. This is done for health and safety reasons, though it does cost me higher overhead--especially during the busy holiday seasons. The huge yard is fully-fenced and about 4' high. If your dog is a leaper, I can cable them while outside (still supervised). There are no other dogs around for them to create drama with, and if they like to bark that is ok, too (neighbors are not near). The furniture is pet-safe (read: has already been scratched and sat on by critters). It is a peace-and-quiet setting in the country, with lots of fresh air and great views. If your dog is high-strung and stressed out, they will find it peaceful and safe here. I can accommodate Zoom check-ins so critters can hear your voice. Can also email/text daily updates.

About: My whole life has revolved around animals. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs, pet sitting neighborhood animals of all kinds, etc. For 11 years I worked in animal shelters, specializing in training the behaviorally "challenged" dogs. Work inevitably overflowed into my personal life where I have owned a plethora of dogs, many of which were struggling with their behavior. They have all overcome obstacles such as human and dog-to-dog aggression, on-leash reactivity, wariness of strangers, house training difficulties, and any other behavior you can imagine. In addition to training shelter dogs, for the past 3 years I have been taking on private training clients as well. I have done short boarding sessions for 1-2 dog social dogs in my home, and have done drop-in pet sitting for years. Outside of dogs, I have cared for cats, small mammals, birds, and livestock of all sizes. I am comfortable in all animal related scenarios! Caring for other peoples' pets and allowing them the freedom to leave their pets with a safe, experienced handler brings me so much joy. <3 I am a stay-at-home-mom so I have nearly unlimited pet care availability! My daughter loves joining me on walks and getting to love on new animals. Due to having dogs of my own, I am only able to bring other dogs that are social into my home. Typically, my "house guests" (dogs) are allowed to utilize the entire main level of the house with my personal dogs, myself, and my daughter. They have dog door access to the securely fenced backyard. The backyard is large, with plenty of shady spots and various water sources that are changed out regularly. For those that need some time or space to themselves, I have a basement with extra dog kennels ranging from small to XL, and the ability to let dogs free roam in the basement too if they do not feel comfortable in a kennel. Toys are available for dogs that know how to share, but can be easily removed if a dog has resource guarding tendencies.

About: From growing up with pets to being to go-to neighborhood petsitter, I'm ready to spend time with your four legged friend! Since moving to DC, I've realized how much I've missed hanging out with pets. I've cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including puppies, and am active and ready to play. I have a relatively flexible schedule and can stop by to visit, or spend more time with your friend as needed. I have a relatively flexible teleworking schedule, so I can stop by during the day or spend longer with your pet as needed. Evenings and weekends are typically more open and I can get anywhere around the city pretty quickly. I take care to thoroughly understand your pet's needs and my role in keeping them safe and comfortable. I'm observant and cautious, so I can be wary if anything seems off and I need to address it.

About: I am wanting to make some money before I start my job at the end of the summer. I graduated with my Masters from UW. I got my dog in grad school and have been able to balance taking care of her while being busy. My dog is a big part of my daily routine is make sure to take her on walks and give her treats when I can My dog is like my family. About: I have been taking care of dogs for the past 10 years. I currently have two of my own now, that I keep active every morning taking them on a walk or to the dog park. I make sure my house is dog safe and always clean. I currently work during the day, but I’m usually home by 2 p.m. This allows me to take care of my dog’s needs without having a crazy work schedule. They don’t spend much of their day alone or in a kennel. I have a completely fenced-in yard with a dog door that allows access to the yard. This ensures that there are no spots for the dogs to get into any trouble. Additionally, I can continue to ensure they are engaged in activities they would typically do at home.

About: I have experience with all different kinds and size animals. I grew up on a cattle ranch and competed in 4h. My family has never had less than 5 dogs at the house that ranged all the way from yorkies to, herlers to, corgis to, pyrenees. I own a mastiff/Dane/ Corso mix of my own who is the biggest gentle giant. So I understand working dogs and excited dogs and even lazy dogs. I think it’s important for our pets to have consistency with food schedules, walks, outdoor time, and night time routines to help them feel comfortable. I also grew up sneaking barn cats home and had to learn to tame them so I’ve experienced some pretty feral kittens who turn out being so sweet. Our pets mean so much to us. I am currently working part time and have a flexible schedule! I always have my phone on me and can make myself available especially incase of emergencies. About: My name is Jordan, I have been working with animals for several years. I have worked with several animal rescues and I was a foster for 6 years. About: I've had pets my whole life. Growing up, my family had several dogs and cats amongst other animals. I am a cat mom of 3 (had 4 but lost my guy 3 years ago). And will one day be a doggo mom!! I love animals and believe when you take on the responsibility of owning a pet, that's it for their life. My guys live a fun, spoiled, laidback life and I would do anything for my guys. I unfortunately due to my oldest having diabetes and CHF, am familiar with administrating medication as I had to give insulin and he was on several meds (pills and compounded). I love all animals and will love them like my own. I will send photos/videos of your pet (anytime). Your pet will get my 1000% undivided attention!! I am super excited to watch/take care of your pet!! My schedule is very open currently which means more time for me to love on your pet(s)!! As my schedule changes, I'll do my best to be as accommodating as possible!! My pets are my world and come first. I make sure my pets are taken care of (fed, water, litter box cleaned etc) and put their needs over mine. Put in perspective, I tried dozens of options of foods and such when my oldest was diagnosed with diabetes and gave my all to find answers before he passed.
