“Mavis had a great first visit with Kajsa and her family. I loved receiving pictures and videos of her playing and having the best time with other dogs. I’m so grateful to have a go to option when we are traveling and I’m sure Mavis is looking forward to another visit scheduled in a couple weeks.”

“My two-year-old Chocolate Lab/Catahoula is a pandemic pup. This trip I went on to AZ was my first for work since I have had him. I was a little nervous, but Wendy and her dog Sheba did great with him! She updated me and sent pics of him playing while I was away, and when I arrived to pick him up, I could tell he had a great time with his new friends. I am hoping to have Vlad stay with his new friends when needed in the future and I would highly recommend Wendy and Sheba when your dog needs a place to stay while you are away!”

“We had such a wonderful experience! She took amazing care of our pups while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She sent us photos every day, kept us updated on how they were doing, and was always quick to respond whenever we reached out. It was clear that she genuinely cared for our dogs and treated them like they were her own. They were happy, well cared for, and loved while we were gone. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and caring dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our babies!”

“Chasity was wonderful! She was very flexible with my constantly changing schedule, and she welcomed Bingo with open arms. Bingo seemed to really love running the backyard and playing with a buddy. She was also very responsive with any questions I had.”

About: I grew up on a farm and have been taking care of dogs, cats, livestock, poultry, etc since I was about 12-13, I love taking care of all kinds of animals! I’m currently a student at UW and work part-time. I typically have plenty of gaps in my schedule to come visit your pet throughout the day! I have a fenced yard and a small dog to keep your pet company, or I am more than happy to take care of your pet in their own home. Either way, I will follow their typical routine and provide fun enrichment activities for them as well !
“I'm so thankful that we found Kathy to watch our pup, Oliver, for 2 weeks. We are new to the area and normally leave our little guy with family so I was nervous to leave him for such a long time with someone new. As soon as I met Kathy I felt at ease - she has such a warm personality and a wonderful home with a huge backyard for pups to sniff around and play! She sent me updates throughout Olivers stay and followed all of the care instructions given. I'm confident that Oliver had a great time during his stay. Hope to see you again Kathy, thank you for taking such great care of our little guy.”
“Rachel has been amazing. She has been super accommodating and works with some short minute bookings. She had the dogs meet before booking, answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable as it was my first time leaving my dog with someone. She followed up when she had him with pictures and has been super kind with everything. I will continue to use her again.”

About: I have had dogs all my life, usually 2 at a time, and in 2013 I rescued my first cat. I have always been the go to pet sitter for all of my friends and family. I have experience working in a dog daycare center and have volunteered with a rescue organization fostering cats. Whenever I take on a new client, they become one of my friends, and their pet becomes one of my pets. I love them wholeheartedly and give them as much affection as they want. I put their needs above all else. I am really great about sending updates and photos as requested by the client. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, cats, oral medications, subcutaneous fluids, insulin injections and some light grooming duties. Let your family be the next addition into mine :) I work from home and have a lot of flexibility with my job to be able to stop in for visits, and am home all day if your dog is staying with me. I had a baby in the summer of 2026. Though I shouldn't need to bring him with me, if you and your animals are ok with it, there may be an occasional visit where it works best for me to bring him. My animals all have free roam of my house. I ensure everyone is fed, provided medicine and supplements, and offered bathroom breaks on a consistent schedule.

About: I love dogs! They give me purpose. Recently, my 15-year-old furbaby, Missy, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We went on daily walks, played treat puzzles, visited shops, and enjoyed an occasional pupaccino. I miss having a dog around in my home in Livermore (fyi - if your dog is comfortable with stairs). They are so much company. I love to take them for walks, play ball, etc. I have a small fenced area for small dogs and a large fenced area for the bigger dogs. Dogs make a house a home (mine or yours). When with me, your dogs will be in caring hands! Currently, I work part-time (3 days a week and can take dogs with me). So, I have plenty of time to play, walk, board, feed, and/or check-in on your dogs. At my home, I have a small fenced in area and larger screened-in area for your dogs. Your dogs will not be left alone when outside. I will always be there to watch them. Also, your dogs are allowed to make themselves comfortable on my furniture or dogs beds. If you prefer my services at your house, I will follow your instructions.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Granite Canon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Granite Canon.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Granite Canon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
