“We're so thankful for Jillissa. She's always been good at responding, and she gives our dog great walks. Plus, she is really good with our parakeet. Our bird is very picky about people, and she actually flew to Jillissa's shoulder (she sent us a photo showing it!), so clearly Jillissa is a bird whisperer, too!”

“Ana responded right away when I put in my request (dog walking); this was VERY helpful as I made my plans for the day. She came over that same evening to meet/ greet my dog Lady. She took Lady for a very long walk the next day, took some photos of her, etc. I'll definitely be contacting Ana again!”

“Rebekah is fantastic. We booked her for another house sitting in December, and she took good care of our dog and parakeet. My husband and I commented many times during our trip how happy we were that she was taking care of our pets. We were able to fully enjoy our trip because we knew Mikka and Chatta were happy and safe. The next time we go on an overnight trip, we're going to reach out to Rebekah first 🙂”

About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs for a few years now. I’ve fostered cats and dogs as well! I have experience with all types of pets! I currently am going to Winona State University as a freshman. My schedule is pretty open. I’m fully open to figuring out a schedule but I will be part time! I live in the dorms currently so I can’t bring pets here. In the clients home I will always make sure the pet(s) are fed and have water (depending on the pet). And I will take them out as much as the client asks for!

I am a college student athlete at Winona State University going into my Junior year next semester! I am also a nanny in the summers so I am very flexible when it comes to times or days ! I am also a nanny in the summer which means I have can have very flexible hours ! I am also very active, walks, runs etc. I have a fenced in yard and a pool ! But also I have a dog and my mom has a dog they are both loving and will keep your animal company!
About: I love spending time with both cats and dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and adaptable, making sure each pet gets the care, playtime, and affection they need. Whether it’s a long walk with a dog or some cozy cuddles with a cat, I adjust to their personality and energy level to keep them happy and comfortable. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can see that your furry friend is safe, content, and having a great time while you’re away. My goal is always to make the experience stress-free for both pets and their humans! Pet care is already a natural part of my everyday life. I build my schedule around making sure pets get the attention, comfort, and structure they need. Whether it’s morning and evening visits, midday walks, feeding, playtime, or litter scooping, I’m very routine-oriented and make sure each pet’s schedule stays consistent. I’m flexible with timing, so I can easily fit in walks, drop-ins, or longer stays throughout the week. I love spending time with animals, so giving them enrichment, cuddles, and care never feels like a chore, it’s just part of my normal routine. Keeping pets happy and their owners updated is something I prioritize daily. I do not bring animals into my home, all of my care takes place in your pet’s own familiar environment. I’ve found that most pets feel safest and most relaxed when they can stay in their normal space, especially cats and shy animals. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their routines exactly: • Keeping feeding schedules consistent • Refreshing water • Cleaning litter boxes or getting out with their dogs for potty breaks • Going on walks and providing playtime/enrichment • Administering medications if needed • Giving plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance I’m respectful of your home, keep things clean and tidy, and always make sure your pets feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I also send regular updates and photos so you know everything is going smoothly.

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of pets, big and small since I was about 11 years old. Are you looking for your dog/cat’s new best friend, I’m your girl! From long walks to playing fetch, and everything in between (bathing, feeding on time, bathroom time) I’m ready for it all! I’m not as familiar with caring for elderly pets or medication, but with a little instruction, I’m a fast learner! I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pets! I’m mostly free the first half of the week (Monday to Wednesday) and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at anytime, and Fridays after 3 pm. I’m a very patient person and am willing to fit whatever needs your pet requires. Schedules are not a problem for me, if your pet needs to use the bathroom at 6 am every morning, or food is served at 9 am, and goes on frequent walks, I’m very flexible.

At now 28 years old I have been assissting family and friends with their dog care for years. I would love to become friends with your dogs too! I work part time as a Rock Climbing Guide in Joshua Tree. This allows me a farily flexible schedule, and keeps me active. I am available and free most days with proper heads up. I am a dog owner myself with a very friendly blue heeler male. I care for others animals as I do my own friend, and respecting you and your dogs boundaries are my first priorities. I can do early mornings to late nights. I’m always able to help with anything! I’m very detail oriented and need straightforward instructions in order to properly care for a pet. About: I have over 13 years of hands on experience caring for dogs, from raising puppies into adulthood to understanding how their needs change throughout different stages of life. I’ve learned how important it is for dogs to have healthy outlets for their energy, plenty of attention, patience, exercise, and a routine that helps them feel happy and cared for. I currently have a dog of my own, Reese, who I love taking on walks and runs, as well as three cats with their own unique personalities. Having both dogs and cats has given me experience understanding the very different ways animals communicate, build trust, and show what they need. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, high-energy dogs, and pets who may still be learning their manners or training. I believe every animal deserves patience and the opportunity to feel safe, appreciated, and understood. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, playtime, companionship, or simply some extra love and attention while you’re away, I want to provide the same level of care I would want for my own animals. 🐾 With a flexible part-time schedule and a love for walking my own dog on the daily, I enjoy sharing fun, fulfilling walks with other dogs too. I’ve always been an animal lover and happiest when I’m spending time outside! I have a dog of my own, Reese, who I love taking on walks, runs, and little adventures, along with three cats who each have completely different personalities. Growing up around animals has taught me that every pet is different and deserves patience, attention, affection, and plenty of time to just be themselves. I love getting to know each animal’s personality and finding what makes them happiest—whether that’s an energetic walk, some playtime, exploring outside, or simply having someone there to give them attention. I’m also completely comfortable with puppies, high-energy dogs, and dogs who may still be working on their training or manners. I believe they deserve just as much patience and care while they’re learning! My goal is to give your pet a fun, positive experience while making sure they’re safe, cared for, and getting the attention they deserve. 🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Goodview. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Goodview after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
