About: My experience with animals started in middle school when I began caring for two elderly Shih Tzus. From there, I started dog sitting for families around Goodland throughout my high school years, simply because of my genuine love for animals. Over time, I expanded my experience by fostering dogs for the Cleveland County Animal Shelter in North Carolina, where I’ve cared for multiple breeds with different personalities, needs, and energy levels. This was something I truly enjoyed and did on my days off from practice as I am a Division 1 NCAA athlete, which can be proof to my dedication and abilities at time management and multi-tasking! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I’m very active, organized, and enjoy spending time outdoors. As a Division 1 athlete, staying active and keeping in shape is already a big part of my lifestyle, so I love opportunities that allow me to exercise while caring for animals through walks, playtime, and staying engaged with them throughout the day. Pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy, and it’s a great balance alongside my training and schedule. My goals to make your animal feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I dealt with mainly rescues from the Cleveland county shelter and found a passion for making trust with animals. In a client’s home, I try to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I pay close attention to behavior, cleanliness, and safety at all times to make sure pets are happy and stress-free. I also understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet and home, so I always aim to be dependable, respectful, and communicative throughout the stay.

About: Hi! I’m Joana, a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Naples, FL. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including overnight and vacation care for friends and neighbors’ pets. My name is Nicole, and I grew up in Indiana where I spent many years caring for my own pets, the pets of friends and neighbors, and the pets of clients at a local doggy daycare and boarding facility. I work in the environmental field with particular focus on wildlife research meaning I also have experience handling a variety of wild animals for monitoring and conservation. I most recently started a job in the south Florida area, and I deeply miss caring for your fur babies! With that being said, if you are out of town this month or need some extra attention for your pet during the holidays, please reach out! Currently, my availability is limited to the evenings and weekends :) Some of my background… I began pet sitting in my own home as a child, where I learned the basics of animal care and behavior through my dog, two cats, and tortoise. My care experience became more comprehensive as they reached old age which translated well as I began looking after the pets of friends and neighbors by walking, feeding, medicating, and of course giving their animals lots of attention while they were away. As my professional career shifted toward wildlife research and handling, my experience in animal care increased significantly. I spent eight months out of this past year working as a pet care tech at a cage-free doggy day care and boarding facility, where I handled all different sizes, ages, and demeanors of dogs in groups of 10-25 animals. I became very effective in evaluating dog behavior in order to mitigate negative interactions in the groups and monitor any changes in their health while they were under my care. On top of this, I spent time bathing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing, feeding, and playing with dogs every single day. Furthermore, I took extra steps to provide notes on each dog’s health, behavior, and their playmates while they were under my supervision so that the owners knew what their dog was up to while they were away! This extra effort earned me the first employee of the month designation the company has awarded in many years. I left this position when I accepted a role at a national park, but I would love to dive back into the pet care world and visit your furry friends! I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages and I will see to their medical and behavioral needs as directed by you-the owner! I love to focus on reducing anxiety and energy levels through the activity most suited to the pet whether that be playing with a particular toy, training, or going on a walk. About: I’ve been trusted to care for multiple homes in my neighborhood since 2022, especially for snowbirds who travel back and forth. I regularly look after two neighboring homes when they’re away, making sure everything stays safe, clean, and in order. I handle things like checking in on the house, bringing in mail, keeping things tidy, and making sure everything feels maintained while the owners are gone. I’m someone people rely on because I’m consistent, attentive, and take pride in caring for a home like it’s my own. I’m a college student with online classes, so I’m home most of the time and pretty flexible. I can easily work around your pet’s routine, whether that’s walks, feeding, or just keeping them company so they’re not alone. I’m usually available throughout the day, weekdays and weekends, and I’m very consistent with showing up and sticking to what your pet is used to. I’m very big on making sure pets feel comfortable and not stressed while their owner is away. I’ve cared for pets for coworkers, neighbors, and family, including cat sitting and dog walking, so I’m used to different personalities and routines. I’m also a nurse, and I’ve worked with both seniors and children, so being patient, attentive, and calm comes naturally to me. About: For more than 20 years, our life has been rooted in service and travel — first as a retired military family, and later as mission workers serving orphaned youth in the Dominican Republic. Through those experiences, home became especially meaningful to me. Some of the greatest joy in my life has come from raising my children, caring for our animals, and tending to our small homestead. Now that we are happily settled in Naples for good and my children are getting older, I have the opportunity to devote more time to caring for the homes and animals of others with the same love and attention I give my own. I am a homesteading and homeschooling Mom with older children, so my day is flexible with notice. I can do drop in visits to your home within a reasonable distance or stay over night keeping your pets comfortable in their own home as well. Because of the number of animals we already have on our little homestead, I’m only able to offer care for your fur-baby in your home.
