About: I'm new to caring for dogs professionally, I've dog and cat sat for my neighbor several times over the last three years. While I'm new to taking care of pets in a professional setting, I've cared for dogs of all kinds since I was 10 years old. I've always felt a kindred spirit for animals and treat them with the utmost respect and care. From feeding, to bathing, and walking there isn't any dog I haven't enjoyed taking care of or spending time with. I recently lost my sweet boy who was in my life for seven years as he was an elder dog when I adpoted him and that's what brought me to Rover. I can guarantee your pet will be well cared for with me. I have a pretty open schedule right now since I only work part-time. I'm available after 3 pm Monday - Wednesday and have full availibility Thursday - Sunday to care for your fur baby. I'm available for boarding on weekends and can come to your fur baby as well if they prefer being at home. I used to foster for the Santa Fe Humane Society and worked with their most fearful, shut-down dogs...and then I kept adopting them :) I've also fostered puppies! I'd be happy to work with your dog, especially if they are fearful. Note: I DO NOT ACCEPT UNALTERED MALES OR UNSPAYED FEMALES, NO EXCEPTIONS. If a dog is found to be intact (not neutered/spayed), they will be quarantined immediately and MUST be picked up same-day with no refunds. I'm a grad student, so I'll be very available for your sweetie :) I specialize in working with extremely fearful animals, helping them come out of their shells, rest, and relax. I'm Pet CPR Certified through The Frontline Coalition, which means I can resuscitate, save from choking, set a limb, etc. My little farm is fully fenced. I'm always here; I'm usually only away from home for one day a week, usually for six hours or less. My house is an old adobe, and I have multiple tall baby-gates so that animals can be separated if needed.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve supported senior pets through their final stages with patience and compassion, and I’ve also helped care for newborn litters, closely monitoring their health and development as they grow. I also have personal experience caring for handicapped pets. I’ve owned and cared for an older three-legged dog, and I’ve helped friends with pets who needed assistance walking, standing, or getting comfortable. My lifelong experience with horses — including care at the professional competition level — has strengthened my attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to high-quality care. I currently work a flexible 9–5 schedule, which allows me to stop by during the day for potty breaks, short walks, or check-ins as needed. Outside of my work hours, I have open availability aside from time spent at the gym or caring for my horses at the barn. I prioritize clear communication and planning to ensure your pets receive consistent, reliable care throughout the day. In my home, my pets are truly part of the family. I have a Belgian Malinois mix who has 24 hour access to our fully fenced backyard with plenty of space to run and explore. She can also come in and relax in our upstairs office whenever she would like, so she is free to choose where she feels most comfortable. We go on daily walks and occasional hikes to keep her happy and fulfilled. Because I also have three indoor cats, one elderly and one still quite young, I supervise full house access to make sure everyone feels safe and relaxed. My dog is very cat friendly, but I am always mindful of each animal’s comfort level. My cats have free roam of the house, lots of toys, cozy spots, and supervised outdoor time during warm summer days. I pay close attention to their different personalities and needs, especially my senior kitty. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping things as normal as possible for them. I like to learn their routine, when they eat, where they sleep, how they like to play, and any little quirks that make them unique. I know how important consistency is for animals, so I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away.

About: Since I was five years old I’ve had a dog. At the age of seven my family moved to a ranch where at one time we had up to 15 catahoula/pitbull mixes, labradors, and German Shepherds. I also volunteered for two years at an animal shelter in Bryan, TX. I have dealt with several dogs of different demeanors as well as given first aid to dogs with various injuries. Rest assured your dog will be safe with me! Hi there! I’ve just moved to Santa Fe, and I would be more than happy to watch your furry friend. I am actively job hunting, so I will let you know if I have an interview scheduled. I have one active Labrador retriever who is well-tempered and trained so there will not be many dogs. If I have another dog coming on the date you requested I will let you know in advance. I have a fenced yard with artificial turf and one energetic, playful, and well-tempered Labrador retriever. She’s spayed and fully vaccinated (+ the bordetella vaccine) of course, and loves to play! No history of aggression or dog fights, and she is well trained.

About: I used to work for a company that did house soft and dog training. 12 years of animal experience. I will check on animals and attend to them no matter the circumstances. I used to be a dog trainer and can help teach many cues. I work during the day but during the night and weekends I can help. I work full time at an animal shelter as a behavior Specialist. I can care for the animals overnight and before and after work. If needed I can do an afternoon check in. I work from 9am to 6pm at my other job. I treat the clients pet like my own. About: Growing up and not having pets only made me love them even more as an adult! I have pet sat for many friends, including overnight and enjoy it each time. It’s like spoiling your nieces and nephews but in furry form. Pet care is just a bonus for me, it allows me to love on furry friends, as I do not have any myself. Simply because my housing does not allow it. Weekends are ideal but if it’s stopping by and checking in in the morning or evening, I am absolutely available! The great thing about animals is they can sense the kind of person you are and if they like you or not. Respecting a pets space is just as important as a humans space. About: I have spent the last 3 years traveling while doing house/pet sits throughout Mexico, Arizona, California, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. My clients have included some high profile gigs in Bel-Air, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, but I have also spent months at a time living off-grid in the Mexican jungle and caring for animals on remote farms. My experience dates back to 1991 when I worked my high school summer vacations on a sheep farm to escape city life. I love ALL animals, and have had a special connection with them, my whole life. His nickname is Sprex. He is Hawaiian, so naturally he is very friendly and mellow with tons of Aloha. My number one priority is pack safety. I follow a daily routine and consistent schedule with my pack. Our day always starts with a nice walk to a nearby park. I use my own custom made leash system that I can walk many dogs at the same time, safely and securely. When we’re not out walking or at the park we do a lot of chilling and hanging out around our house and fenced in yard. I promote the pack mentality among my dogs as I am always their pack leader who ensures their safety and protection all the time. I’m glad to use your dog’s crate at my house whenever I am not home if needed (not typical). Sometimes I take the pack out on planned field trips, usually afternoons and weekends, to various places throughout the area. Frenchy Park is right across the street from my house and super fun for the pups. I treat and protect each dog as if they were my own and love them all unconditionally. FYI, I don’t introduce my pack to other dogs that we don’t know, to avoid any unwanted drama and to keep everyone safe. New dogs really shouldn’t be introduced while on leashes anyway. I speak the language of dogs and am confident around them always. I am always their alpha who provides a fun and safe space for my pack.
