“My lil Charlie seemed to do really well! Abigail communicated with me and sent pictures everyday. My husband did the drop off and pick up and he had a really good impression with the whole family. I would definitely trust Abigail to keep Charlie again!”

“Heather was amazing and I will definitely use her again. She was accommodating to my last minute request for boarding. She was also responsive when I reached out and had a very caring spirit.”

“My dog Oban came home after 7 days and was calm and happy, not clingy! He was treated as a member of Elizabeth and Philip’s family. I feel so fortunate to have found Elizabeth and Philip! Thank you both!”

About: Growing up with dogs of all sizes taught me how to adapt to their unique needs, training styles, and energy levels. I currently care for two energetic, 45-pound dogs, which requires daily structured exercise, interactive mental stimulation, and consistent behavioral management. We all savor ending the night with cuddles and love. I currently work weekdays and get off around 2:30pm so I would be available after then and on some weekends. Due to my job, i'm often available when there are seasonal/holiday breaks. I also live on the base at fort knox! I have 2 dogs that are very shy around newcomers, but love to play when they are warmed up. Since I understand that going into someone's home it's scary for the new comer. I will be extra careful and make sure that they feel comfortable and safe. I do have a fenced yard. I am always around the dogs, so there are almost no times when they are left alone.

About: I have always had dogs inside my household growing up so I am knowledgeable in taking care of pets. I currently take care of my parents dog and even have a few other friends I dog sit for on occasion. I regularly take care of my parents dog and I regularly take him for walks, feed him on a regular schedule and ensure his water bowl is full. I love the company of any dog as I live alone and have no children. I have a clean home where a dog cannot easily access things that they should not be. I love getting out for exercise so they will have walks and play time. I also work from home and can work from any home if need be. This makes it very easy to let dogs out for potty breaks and make sure they are fed and have water.
“Kisha was our first cat sitter and she set the bar high! She was the gold standard for someone we wanted to take care of our cats! Kept us updated with photos and daily ongoings. Our cats were fed, happy, and clean!”

“Lynne watched our little girl for 4 days and 5 nights while we were on a trip. She texted me and sent me pics of my dog to let me know how things were going. I would recommend Lynne to anyone.”
“Christina is wonderful! She did an amazing job taking care of my cat Rufus. She went above and beyond to make sure he had everything he needed. She is communicative and a fantastic sitter.”

“Incredible! Jen was so great with our little guy and we could tell he had a great time! She provided us with a lot of peace of mind and worked with us when we ended our trip early for the winter storm. Thanks Jen!”

“Kirsten and her husband were amazing with my Teo basset hounds. It was my first time using Rover, so I may have sent her texts everyday yo see how my dogs were doing and she was always nice about it and would send pictures whenever she could. So glad my dogs will be staying with her for Christmas and New Years because I know they will not miss us that much and they will have a great time.”

“Great experience with Ciara! She was so communicative throughout our dog’s stay— sending pictures and notes multiple times a day. Felt very secure that our dog was in good hands. Also did a pickup and drop off which made everything easy on our end. Thank you, Ciara!”

“Melissa and Andrew were great sitters and sent several updates with photos during my dog’s stay. They were very friendly and accommodating to my dog and he seemed to really enjoy his time with them!”
About: For me, pet sitting on Rover is so much more than a job—it is a true passion rooted in 30 years of dedicated animal care experience. Over the decades, I have had the absolute joy of looking after all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats and small animals. I know firsthand that every single pet is a cherished family member with their own unique personality and routine. Because of this lifelong background, I am incredibly adaptable; I know exactly how to keep up with a high-energy puppy, gently comfort a shy senior cat, or carefully manage specialized feeding schedules for your pets. I treat every animal in my care exactly how I would want my own pets to be treated: with endless patience, safety, and deep affection. Leaving a pet can be stressful for owners, so I always leverage my decades of experience to prioritize clear communication, reliability, and daily updates that give families complete peace of mind. I am fully confident in my ability to connect with and care for any type of pet, and I am dedicated to making sure both you and your companion feel completely safe, comfortable, and happy. I currently work as a handy-man so my hours are flexible enough to need your pets every needs from stopping by and playing multiple times a day to sitting with them all day and night. I also have an animal friend home with pleanty of play area and 1 acre of fenced in yard for them to play. My 3 dogs and 3 cats welcome any animal into the household with open paws. My gentle giant st. Bernard and German shepherd are rough enough to play tug of war with the biggest of dogs but gentle enough to cuddle and protect a 5lb teacup Yorkie.

“She was absolutely perfect!!!! She gave me updates and pictures of my dog, she celebrated his birthday with him in my place, she was amazing!! Everything was such a convenience!!! My dog loves her and I will definitely book again and again!”

“Missy took amazing care of my lab while I was on vacation. She was incredible with communicating and sending pictures of my dog while I was away. Would highly recommend!”

“Ami was the best! She was so loving to our dog Scruffy. She sent updates and pictures daily. Scruffy was well cared for and I’m sure sad to leave her. Highly recommend Ami and would definitely have her watch him again.”

About: I have 3 golden retrievers and rescued 2 cats. I've spent the last 6 years caring for my own animals and helping friends, family, and neighbors with theirs. I've learned how important it is to have someone trustworthy looking after your pet. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going on walks, and giving the attention and care they deserve. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, secure, and loved while in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to be flexible and at home majority of the time. I schedule my days to ensure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, feeding, playtime, and companionship. We are household full of animals, always. When pets stay in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and cared for. I follow each pet's regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any special care instructions. For dogs we have a fenced in backyard with space to run around. A crate must be provided for overnight stays for dogs. For cats, they can roam freely. I have clean litter boxes, and opportunities for play and enrichment.
About: Your pet’s second home away from home, with plenty of outdoor play time, my couch is your pet’s couch, and cuddles are a Plus—no female dogs. I’m available during the summer, most holidays, weekends, and four-day passes. During work hours, I can always take a lunch break. This is a family gig, so kids are also available and capable of taking care of the dogs. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly and energetic beagle (Milo). I do 20-minute walks twice a day, lot of play time too.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glidas.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
