“Julia was terrific! She showed up for a last minute request. She was friendly, prompt and flexible. My dog was very comfortable with her at the outset. I was so impressed that since she needed to address something at home she offered to take my dog with her rather than give me less than the full hour walk.”

“Grayson was so helpful when my husband was away and I started a new job meaning I was gone for longer than usual! She helped take our dogs on a walk for about two months for five days a week. She treated my dogs well and communicated with me even when needs changed! She was great with the dogs and very trusting. If we need someone in the future, we will book her again as I knew I didn't have to worry about the pups!”

About: Hello! I live in Sussex County, NJ, and have been walking dogs since January 2025 via the Wag app. I am available for drop ins, walks, and pet sitting during the day. Since I have 2 sassy beagle-mixes of my own, I can do overnight stays with some household coordination on my end. I’m currently working part time, so have a flexible schedule! I do my best to only accept bookings where I know I’ll make it not only on time, but a few minutes early. It’s important for me to know what access or limits your pet has in your home, so I like to over communicate with pet parents so I fully understand what makes your pet happy and safe.

About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was a teen. I would volunteer to care for pets all the time. I have taken care of all kinds of pets such as dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, salamander bearded dragon and chickens. Tell me what their needs are and I will make sure fur baby is well taken care of. It’s my responsibility to make sure that each fur baby is happy and safe. I know how important dogs are to our lives, so it's my duty to make sure that your fur baby gets to experience the same kind of love and care that they're used to at home. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It's a great way to make sure that we're all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. It gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your fur baby and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it's always great to chat with owners to learn more about your fur baby. I am available to care for your fur baby all day as my main focus is caring for fur babies! I work from my home part-time so I’m always available to provide love and attention to your fur baby. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room to play and 1 dog to keep your fur baby company. If needed, I have the ability to crate your fur baby.

About: I have been pet sitter for several years. I absolutely love animals of all kinds. Growing up, I have had many dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, rabbits and fish in my life. I had 2 Cockatiel birds that had babies and I helped raise them. There is no animal, big or small, that I don't like. I have had experience with Great Danes to Yorkshire Terriers. I love going on walks with them. I have a nice size yard for them to stretch their legs and I also live near a dog park to take them to if they are known to be friendly with other dogs. I have also had plenty of experience with cats, some of which were friendly and some not so friendly. With me and my family, animals are our family, not just pets. We treat all animals with care and respect and love them as if they are our own. There is nothing more fulfilling in life than an animal in your life. ***Just recently, I was asked if I had any special experience handling Pitt Bull terriers. I do not have experience with pure bred Pitt Bull terriers and have had mix bred pups in my care. I am putting this information out on my profile in case anyone else is concerned about my experience with them and only wants experienced Pitt Bull handlers. ***

About: I have taken care of my own dog for 10+ years as well as other dogs for friends or family when they are away. I am very patient when it comes to dealing with new animals and want to make sure your pet feels at home. I am currently enrolled in college with my classes ending everyday around 12pm. I am free to care for any dogs after that time and am available on the weekends. Your animal will be treated as if it were my own. I have a fenced in yard and live in a calm neighborhood where I can easily walk the animals. I also have 3 roommates who love animals just as much so they will never feel uncomfortable.

About: I currently own a cat, 2 dogs, and a reptile. Grew up with 3 dogs from 15 to 120lbs along with a cat, hamsters, 6 chinchillas, and at one point a rabbit. I have taken care of friends and families dogs and cats of all ages and sizes along with anything from fish to reptiles. Many of the things needed to be done was general check ins to walk, feed, play, overall mess cleanup of toys or accidents, cage cleaning, and night stays if needed. I have also volunteered at many shelters which consisted of dog walking, kennel cleanings, litter box scooping, and overall playtime. I'm used to bathing when needed and have a great amount of knowledge in many animals as I was also a manager for awhile at a pet store. I'm currently a stay at home mom who only works 2 set nights a week for 4.5 hours. I generally am up between 6am and 7am and don't go to bed until around 11pm. If I'm not home playing with my kids or pets I'm just tidying around the house or cleaning. I am almost always local to the area but if for any reason I'm not I always know ahead of time. After volunteering at shelters and having many animals of my own I have learned that patience is key. When meeting a new animal who may be anxious or scared, sitting quietly with them for awhile and allowing them to come to you on their own terms works the best. Forcing an animal to adjust to a human is not in anyway okay and only makes things harder for them to trust a human. Making sure an animal has a properly secured and adjusted harness or collar before going out is also a big thing I have always checked incase the animal is an escape artist. Before allowing a dog to go outside making sure gates are secured as you never know when one may be unlatched for any reason. When going on walks I am always aware of my surrounding for cars, people, other animals to keep all safe. If an animal is hypersensitive or reactive knowing ahead of time allows me to adjust accordingly.

About: Thanks for Stopping By! My experience around Pets; I am fortunate and blessed to have experienced having Pets since I was a baby. Growing up, animals were always around: dogs, cats, birds, etc. My love for animals has always been powerful, thanks to my amazing parents, who raised me in such an environment. After I lost my parents, my life changed forever, completely. I moved from state to state (in Colombia) with different family members; lucky for me, they all had pets. I was a timid girl who always struggled to connect with humans. However, that was never the case with animals. I simply loved and enjoyed spending time with them. Before I moved to the U.S. in 2019, I lived with my aunt, uncle, cousins, and many dogs who were always running around in our country house. I learned a lot from Uncle Carlos; he's the ultimate certified dog lover. I moved in with them in 2013, and a new experience with dogs took over my life. My uncle cares for dogs in the most admirable way I've ever seen; he would always provide them with the love, time, the best food, and stimulation they needed at all different times of the day, even if he had a long day at work. I learned a lot from him. Even though my aunt never liked dogs or him having dogs, he would always find a way to adopt one more; I still don't know how he managed to have six dogs in the house currently haha (he is also retired now, and the youth have all moved out so I guess time is right ;) I can't thank him enough for being an incredible example and inspiration to me on how to care and love animals. Two years after moving to a new country at 17 all by myself to start a brand new chapter of my life, in 2021, I was finally able to move to an apartment in New Jersey with a friend after two years of jumping from room to room in NYC with strangers. I was so happy and relieved to have my own space, kitchen, and bathroom in this apartment; despite that, I noticed days getting lonely and gray. New Jersey was a different lifestyle; I couldn't just go out to a park and distract myself with the craziness of the city; my life was changing, I was changing, and I thought at the time I was ready for another significant change, having a dog in my life, so I got Gumby. My best friend! Gumby helped me tremendously; he changed my life without realizing it. My first time having Gumby was almost like having a real child while being a single mother working two jobs and trying to get a career for herself, haha. Yeah, that was me. The responsibility I was taking on was bigger than I'd anticipated, but nonetheless, I had one of the best times in my life. I’ve also learned a big lesson. Like most corgis, Gumby is a very energetic dog. They require a lot of time, attention, and love. Unfortunately, at that time in my life, I only had the third to give to him. I got Gumby when he was eight weeks old; he was so precious and tiny. I remember taking off work that day to receive him from the Amish family I was purchasing Gumby from; they were driving over from Pennsylvania to drop him off at my apartment. I couldn't believe it when they handed me Gumby in my arms; I was a Dog Mom!! I was so happy until the next day and the following days after that. Every day I had to leave Gumby in the apartment alone and go to work; pieces of my heart would stay behind that door with him, wishing it didn’t have to be that way. Every day, I was anxious at work, impatiently waiting to clock out to get home to him. When I’d come home, I would hug him and cry, frustrated knowing I wasn’t giving him the life he deserved, like the life of my uncle’s dogs at home. Not long after that, when Gumby was almost four months old, I quit my job for three months to take care of him; of course, It wasn’t the wisest financial decision; I ended up spending all my savings, but it was one of the best times of my life, and I think Gumby’s life. A day in our lives would consist of waking up, going for a walk, returning to the apartment for our breakfast, then getting ready to go on a long nature walk, some days long hikes in the mountain, and some other lots of fetching at the dog park, some more walking, sniffing, and treats in the evening, come back home for our dinner, one more walk, snuggle watch movies, get rest, repeat next day. I cared for Gumby for a year and a half (July 2021-Dec 2022); I flew to Colombia with Gumby in December 2022. I was coming to visit my family and drop Gumby off at his new home, ready to take on a new chapter of his life, in the country house, next to his new 6 other fur siblings, under the care of my loving uncle, to live the life I couldn't give to him. Of course I was very sad gumby wasn't going to be with me in Jersey anymore, my life felt almost empty again but I knew this was the right thing to do for Gumby. I visited Gumby in February of this year. I was so emotional and happy to see him, I’d like to think he was to see me as well. There is no doubt when I say he is truly living his best life and is one of the happiest dogs alive, that’s all he always deserved. After Gumby stayed in Colombia I decided to start walking dogs on Rover as a part time job, I missed having dogs around in my life. They help me be a better and happier person… I empathize a lot with dog parents that don’t have the time/energy to dedicate to their pets all the time or when life simply gets in the way; that’s why I would love to help you and your pet with that, and you will be helping me be happier as well :) a win-win😎 I'm currently working part-time in retail at the mall; my schedule varies everyday. I'll list the days & times of the week I'll be available for rover; Mon: 7-9am / 5-9pm Tues: 8am-12pm Wed: Not Available Thursday: 8-11am / 2-7pm Friday: 8-11am Saturday: Not Available Sunday: 8-11am / 2-5pm I don't offer sitting services in my place just yet since it's not my house, hopefully in the near future when I move out I would love to start this service :)
