About: Dogs have been a part of my world ever since I was 4 years old. I had three dogs growing up, Buddy, Archie, and Walker. They were the absolute BEST! My uncle used to be a private breeder (mostly just because he loved having a lot of dogs around) and I would go over weekly to help care for them. I've worked with all kinds of dog, big and small, from puppies to the oldest little guys you've ever seen and I love it! I am currently extremely available as my few jobs are also scheduled sporadically and with different lengths of notice so finding time within my weekly schedule is quite easy. I can accomplish just about anything to meet the needs of your beautiful dog/cat. Feeding, brushing, crating, walking, playing, administering medication, you name it! If you tell me, I can do it :)
âBridget was great and Vanessa loved her. I appreciated the daily updates with videos & photos. It was our first time trying in home care while we were away and we are very pleased with Bridget as our choice. We will definitely rebook when we go away in the future.â

About: Iâve been taking care of dogs ever since i was 8. My extended family all has dogs and would often ask me to help out with them. My family currently owns a a golden retriever named Hank and a lab named Mabel. I trained both Mabel and Hank as puppies, and my previous dog Diezel as a therapy dog. I understand the importance of affection and routine in your pets life and am happy to give that to them! You can count on me to make your pet feel comfortable, loved and happy. I currently have pretty open availability as I am currently out of school for the summer. During fall, I will have availability in the evenings and weekends. I am comfortable with kenneling, free range pets, free feeding and scheduled meals. Whatever you feel comfortable with! Iâm happy to take your pet on walks or play with them in your own home.
About: Hello! My name is Rose and I am 25 years old. Iâve always loved caring for animals, and I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats (young & old) and understand that every pet has a different personality and routine. Iâm reliable, detail-oriented, and will always follow your care instructions closely. I treat every animal with the same patience, kindness, and attention Iâd want for my own. Iâve also been a vegetarian for over 12 years because of my love and respect for animals, and that compassion carries over into the way I care for every pet I meet. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone to keep them company, Iâm happy to adapt to what makes them feel the most comfortable. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am currently working part time, however my schedule is pretty flexible! Iâm available most mornings, afternoons, and nights. I work at a brunch restaurant some mornings, and at a fine dining restaurant some nights. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and Iâm committed to following their routines and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while youâre away. I am able to change my schedule as needed to accommodate other priorities such as your fur babies! I always prioritize safety by carefully following each ownerâs instructions, keeping doors and gates secure, following medication regimens, being mindful of my surroundings, and making sure pets are comfortable and supervised. When caring for pets in your home, I promise to treat the space with the same respect I would want someone to show in my own home. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your animals with someone who is responsible, patient, and attentive to their needs.

âWe give Melissa our HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION! She was a pet sitter for us for 6 days/5 nights! We just moved to the area and needed to find a responsible person to take care of our dog while we were out of town. Melissa was super responsive, highly professional and extremely trustworthy. Our pet has a significant medical condition and Melissa kept us updated and was extremely comfortable handling any special needs. She left our home in better condition that we left it. She went above and beyond to take care of our dog and we so appreciated it! We have used many pet sitters in the past, but Melissa was a step above all others!â

About: An LPN by trade, Iâve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Since I was a little girl, dogs and cats have held a special place in my heart, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Anyone who knows me personally knows how deeply I love animals and how important they are to me. My own dogs are truly part of my familyâtheyâre my babiesâand I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone elseâs care. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, and family members regularly rely on me to watch and board their beloved pets when they travel. I enjoy spending time with animals, whether thatâs going for daily walks, playing, providing companionship, or simply making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. When your pet is in my care, I will treat them as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a loving, dependable, and stress-free experience for both you and your furry family member, so you can have peace of mind knowing they are receiving plenty of attention, affection, and care. As a nurse who is currently taking a break from my career, I have the time and flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. My mornings start with potty breaks, breakfast, and plenty of love and attention for the pets in my care. After a relaxing coffee break, we head out for a daily walk, with the distance tailored to each petâs age, energy level, and abilitiesâanywhere from a leisurely stroll to a 1â3 mile adventure. The rest of the day includes playtime, cuddles, companionship, and ensuring your pet feels comfortable and secure. I understand how much pet parents miss their furry family members, so Iâm happy to send photos and videos to keep you updated and give you peace of mind. Afternoons are typically a time for rest and relaxation, followed by supper and another walk in the evening if needed. Because I am home throughout the day, your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, exercise, and affection. My goal is to make their stay feel as comfortable, safe, and loving as possibleâjust like they are part of my own family. Whether caring for your pet in my home or yours, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. While we do not have a fenced yard, I am committed to responsible pet care and will always use a leash when outdoorsâwithout exception. I understand that pets are cherished family members, and I take every precaution to keep them safe. My home is shared with two friendly, low-key dogs who enjoy daily walks, relaxing in the sunshine, and plenty of couch cuddles. They are accustomed to being around other pets and help create a calm, welcoming environment. Whether your pet enjoys activity and adventure or prefers quiet companionship and affection, I will do my best to make them feel comfortable, loved, and right at home.

FAQs for House Sitting - Glenmore
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 340 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glenmore. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glenmore walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glenmore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glenmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glenmore. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
