About: Across the street from the beach! I am doing Rover.com because for several years I had to travel a lot for work, which I never would have been able to do without quality pet sitting services. Now I can return the favor! My goal is to provide a safe & happy environment for your dog while you are away as so many people did for me. I only take one dog at a time. I am also familiar with different training methods so your dog won't "forget" its manners at my house but they still will have a grand ole time! We have a lot of fun and games, but we do so constructively, safely, and happily. I've had dogs my whole life, and I take my care for them seriously. I am generally never away from the house for more than 3-4 hours max. I have always hiked with my dogs, and now I am even trying to surf with one of them! I've done agility classes, and "lifeskills" classes for my dogs to work on good real-world behavior. It is a learning process for all of us! I've had rescues - labs, border collies, shepherds, dalmations, & vizslas blends and I support several rescue organizations. I currently have a 4 year old small female shepherd / border collie mix who loves the ball, frisbee, and running at full speed. My Newport house has a very very small fenced in potty area, but we are across the street from the beach and take several walks a day around the neighborhood, and/or play constructively in the garage, if weather does not permit safe beach time. I work an East Coast schedule from my own home. Outings start early in the day and vary with the tides and weather. If things are really nasty outside, I have a garage to burn off some energy with indoor games. I own my own home, and have a very small fenced in potty area. I have a large crate for dogs who like the security of a crate. I follow regular feeding schedules, and there is a mandatory 8:30pm evening treat time. For pets still learning manners or needing reminders, I'm able to follow your lead to ensure they do not lose too much while they stay with me.
