“We love having Vivienne pet sit our pups and kitty. She's very caring and conscientious- spending a good amount of time with our pets. She has gotten to know them and it shows!”

About: I've grown up with no less than 2 dogs at a time. Now I have 3 of my own and I am looking to open my home and offer my services since I am home full time!! We are always outside playing, going for walks and experiencing nature!! I would love to have the opportunity to care for other peoples animals!! The passion I have for animals could definitely be of use to many :) Let me know how I can help!! I work from home and I’m able to constantly care for my 3 pups. The more the merrier! I get up early and run the pups, feed them and let them sunbathe out back. Pets are allowed on our furniture and are treated as the family that they are. I have a fully fenced in yard, plenty of toys and puppy friends to keep your babe occupied and having the time of their lives! My dogs also have their own crates if our visitor is uneasy around our dogs.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities for over 10 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable with energetic puppies, senior dogs, and pets that need extra patience and attention. I always make sure animals feel safe, loved, and well cared for, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I have a flexible schedule and am available for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, and weekend care. I’m dependable, responsive, and committed to making sure your pets stay happy and comfortable while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and caring environment and make sure pets are always supervised, exercised, and treated with patience and kindness. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special requests to keep your pet comfortable and stress-free.
“Madison did great with my cat and dog. She was very professional and friendly, and they both took to her right away when she came over for a pre-trip meet. She was also punctual and polite and always uploaded pictures when she came by for the feed/walk. I will definitely be a repeat customer of hers.”

“Olivia was great! She took really good care of our boys, including our senior dachshund. She was communicative and always sent photos when she came to feed them! Definitely going to use Olivia again!”

“She went the extra mile on everything for our dogs! I think they miss her, actually! I can tell they were both well fed and well exercised, but most of all well loved! Would absolutely love to have her back!”

About: Hi! I’m Allie, and I’d love to be your pet’s new favorite sitter! 🐾 I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so my goal is to make that experience as easy and stress-free as possible. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely love animals. Your pets will get plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, special instructions, and plenty of cuddles. ❤️ Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I want you to be able to relax knowing they’re being well taken care of. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, a midday check-in, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’d be happy to help! I’m self-employed and work primarily from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m able to work my schedule around walks, potty breaks, feeding times, and playtime, rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I love having animals around while I work, and I’m happy to provide the companionship and care they need throughout the day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s space, and I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and individual needs. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️
“Mary was a lifesaver for us. We had never hired a sitter before, but we had a death in the family and needed to entrust someone to look after our cat Bibi for several days. Not only did Mary follow through with our instructions perfectly and keep in touch with us regularly, she also went out of her way to try to encourage our cat to socialize despite the fact that she is very shy toward strangers. Mary is as professional as they come, and with us going through a difficult time, she was a delight to work with and gave us some much-needed relief knowing that our cat was safe and sound. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: Having been around animals my entire life, I recognize that every pet has their own special personality. Sometimes, beautiful personalities require more attention, love, or patience than others. Every pet I have owned has been rescued in some form or another, whether from a shelter or right off of the street, and each one has brought their own challenges, but also their own beautiful ways of showing love. I have no problem with jumpy, hyper, or "mouthy" pets, or any other behaviors that might be deemed "problematic". My life with all sorts of animals has allowed me to gain valuable skills, including being comfortable around pets of all sizes and shapes, handling "pushy" behaviors, and caring for senior pets with specific health issues. Allow me to offer a loving hand when yours is not available. While I do work full-time, my schedule outside of the office and ability to travel allows me the flexibility to accommodate for any pet's needs. My number-one priority has always been safety. I've worked in professional environments with animals, such farms and shelters, and carry with me the valuable lessons I gained from those jobs.
About: (Please confirm the city or county you’re in- just to make sure you’re not too far away!) I have watched animals as long as I can remember! Almost 19 years now. I am flexible with hours and try to accommodate your schedule best I can. (I do work from home so will need working wifi) I do not mind staying in the home. I can pick up mail and water plants if needed. I do not mind the age of the animal. I love cats, birds and fishes too! Open to meeting new animals of all kind. I have my own transportation. Gentle Care, True Service. How can I help? I work from home so my work schedule is pretty flexible if I can work from the persons home. I only care for pets in their own home. I can play with the pet and take to parks if you prefer. I work from home so my work schedule is pretty flexible if I can work from the persons home. I only care for pets in their own home. “Andrew was incredible!! He watched our 2 cats while we were out of town for about a week and was very quick to respond and sent us lots of pictures. He was very accommodating to some last minute changes and was so good with our little kitties!! Will definitely be using his services again. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, Everyone! My name is Cara. Thank you for visiting my page. My strong admiration for animals has only grown more with the more animals I meet and as a result, it brings me genuine happiness. It is a rewarding experience to be able to take care of any animal that needs it while their owner is away. Since starting Rover in August 21’, I’ve had 10+ repeat clients and have established great friendships with families/people in the community as a result. I have a M-F teaching position 8am-4pm and summer months off. I am currently a part time Binghamton University graduate student studying for a masters degree in early childhood special education. A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away to ease your anxiety. Experience - administering medicine/injections - cats, big dogs, small dogs, senior animals, special needs pets, pigs, cows, chickens. -exercise/run with your pet -hospice/end of life care (Repositioning every hour, hand feeding, massages, cooking packs, frozen bone broth snacks on warmer days, the list goes on) Pets and animals deserve to be spoiled but most importantly, they deserve to be loved. I have a white pitbull fur baby (Minnie). Shes a loyal, sweet and well behaved dog, I’m so lucky and thankful for her every day as she brings me so much happiness. She stays at home with her other best friend, my significant other while I’m away. If you think I’d be a good fit for your fur baby or have any questions or concerns, I’m here to answer them all and hope you will consider me to take care of your pet. I work M-F through a nearby school, being able to provide supervision to animals while I am home. Check my calendar for the most up to date availability, please 😌 House sitting: Provide overnight care, 24/7 care, other responsibilities to care for your home while you are away (watering plants, picking up mail, cleaning, etc.) Always love to send picture and video updates 2-3x/a day of your furry one to ensure you are comfortable and know that your animal is well cared for and happy in my care!
About: Since the day I was born I’ve always had a dog around to take care of. He was my entire world, always treated him like my baby. My Grandparents also had two cats that I would take care from time to time. I just moved from Orlando Florida back to Laflin pa where I originally grew up and I’m currently a middle school teacher in Wilkes Barre I unfortunately do not offer boarding but I have no problem hanging out with furry friends in the comfort their own home! I’m very neat and ALWAYS treat a clients home with respect.
About: Hi! I'm Shelby, your local dog lover and fashion designer; while caring for your beloved pup, I will give them tips on how they can improve their runway walk and enhance their personal style :) I have experience with, and love, all types of dogs and had a beautiful Golden Retriever of my own for 15 years. I am looking to make connections with regulars to establish relationships with the dogs that I am caring for, so feel free to reach out to me frequently! I recently moved to the Poconos from the suburbs of Philadelphia so I am accepting clients in both locations.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glenburn
Vivienne was very kind and considerate with my Murphy. He’s not used to being at home for more than 8 hours. She took the time to check on him and located him if he was hiding. She filled his food bowl and scooped the litter and kept him safe in our home I would definitely recommend her for anyone who has never left their kitty alone overnight for any amount of time

This is my second time booking with Marissa, this time, as 2 back-to-back weekends. My travels were filled with airport disasters including a full days delay. Marissa was super understanding and flexible so much that she had no problem going to see the girls the extra day I was away which was very reassuring that my girls would be okay 🥹. I am forever thankful for her help and I’m sure Strawberry and kiwi are as well.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
