“Joanne checked in and fed our three cats. She was so professional and kind enough to spend some time playing with the cats! I will definitely be booking her again. She is great and it put my mind at ease to know she was checking in on my cats!”

“Kendra was able come take care of my two cats after I had to schedule a very last-minute drop in. She was very communicative and did a wonderful job taking care of them. I’m super grateful to have been able to book her!”

“Victoria appears to have a great personality and was very respectful of our multi-pet home. She took our home/pet care instructions seriously and did a great job at keeping 5 cats and 2 guinea pigs taken care of over multiple days. I'm much more impressed that she spent the full 30 minutes or sometimes a little longer to finish up her drop-in; others have not. I would certainly recommend.”

“Mary was a lifesaver for us. We had never hired a sitter before, but we had a death in the family and needed to entrust someone to look after our cat Bibi for several days. Not only did Mary follow through with our instructions perfectly and keep in touch with us regularly, she also went out of her way to try to encourage our cat to socialize despite the fact that she is very shy toward strangers. Mary is as professional as they come, and with us going through a difficult time, she was a delight to work with and gave us some much-needed relief knowing that our cat was safe and sound. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blakely
Joanne was an absolutely amazing sitter, went above and beyond for our dog and the cats. Was able to come do a very last second meet and greet and followed all of the instructions tp the letter. Would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter to drop in for the day!

Celine was lovely! Our pups connected right away, so it was obvious they would be fine. Celine asked great questions about our pups medical history, personalities, etc., and shared her experiences working with animals. Our pups had a great time! We already planned more visits for her to take care of our babies!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
