“Candace was a great sitter! Her parents were helpful as well. Cassie was in good hands and was well taken care of. We were so thankful they accommodated us picking up Cassie after our evening flight.”

“John kept our Min Pin overnight to acquaint with the pup before a week-long stay later this year. He was very responsive to our questions. He provided periodic updates and pics. The communication gave me insight into how the visit was going and comfort in knowing our pup was doing well. We were very nervous in leaving our pup with someone new but he had wonderful references on John. Overall- very good experience.”

“Bear was treated like family. I was very nervous about leaving our little man for two weeks, but the daily updates and photos were totally reassuring! We will definitely rebook when needed in the future. Thank you!”

“Samantha is absolutely amazing! She took great care of Margot and kept me posted during the entire time. She sent me pictures and updates several times a day every day. Margot will be always coming back there!”

“Theresa was great with sending pics and updates about my Howard, who spent 3 days and nights with she and her husband Chuck. Howard was well taken care of, he enjoyed playing with their dogs, and Theresa was so sweet and accommodating. Will definitely use her for boarding again in the future!”

“We have been blessed several times when Shannon has watched our neurotic rescue dog. Even after or dog ate mysterious street food two days before and had loose stools the entire time she was boarded. Shannon has amazing skills, knowledge and insight into dog habits.”

“Absolutely amazing. So great with pick up and drop off and I got lots of pictures of my happy dog. 100% will be using her again and would highly recommend her to anyone else.”

“McKenanne took great care of my dog and was good about communicating before and during my dog's stay. Her two dogs were very friendly which helped to make my dog more comfortable and happy.”

“Marah is truly exceptional to work with. Responsive, kind, understanding, and made me feel at peace watching my dog for a long weekend. If I ever need my dog boarded again, I will without a doubt board with her!”

“Karlie was wonderful. I have an anxious little poodle, and Karlie gave me daily updates and pictures. Apparently Max fell right in with her family pack after a couple of days and was just fine. She even let him sleep in bed with her like he does at home. I know that settled his heart for sure. Big thank you to Karlie and her family for loving Max!”

“JeBecca absolutely LOVED her stay with Cheyanne and her family. Cheyanne sent several pictures everyday showing JeBecca playing with her other dogs/puppy. I am so thrilled that I have found such a loving family to watch over my fur baby when I have to go out of town. 10 out of 10, the BEST!”

“It was clear from the first moment after meeting Natalie that she absolutely loves all dogs. She was great with our puppy. It was the first time that we had to board our 5 month old Golden Retriever, Lexie but Natalie made this painless for us and Lexie. She sent daily reports and even videos of Lexie so we could see that she was doing great. Lexie even hated to leave her house. I would highly recommend Natalie to anyone who needs to board their dog.”

“Emily was awesome! My first time using Rover and we found a good one! Definitely worth interviewing. We got pictures of the fun our dog was having all week. Made us feel we made a good decision.”

“Sidney did an incredible job with my German Shepherd! She sent pictures and checked in regularly to put me at ease. If you’re in Roanoke, Sidney as your pet sitter is the best choice you can make!!”

“So grateful for Tiffany! She took wonderful care of our puppy for us and we had such a peace of mind knowing that she was loved on and cared for! We will be back!”

“Kristen is so very good with all of the pets she boards. I witnessed how she cares for them on my 3 visits to her property. She has a young daughter. My min pin bonded with the little girl first. He does the best with women. We suspect he was previously mistreated by a man. Her house and her care was the best choice for my Chapo. She was attentive, responded to my text messages promptly. He did get out on her right off leash before I came to get him. She was able to retrieve him but not before he went through a tick nest chasing a rabbit. She promptly bathed him in flea and tick shampoo. I have seen no ticks on him. I was very grateful that she got him back safely and promptly took care of the tick issue. She is a rare gem. She really cares and takes excellent care of other people's pets. I have no hesitation leaving my dog with her again.”

“Angela was fantastic !!!! She took care of our pup just like he gets care at home . We had never used the service before and she made us feel very comfortable. She updated us and sent pictures . We will use her again.”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
