About: Hi, I’m Kristen (I go by my middle name, Lauren)! I’ve been around animals before I started walking. I contribute my love of animals to my mother, who couldn’t hurt a fly. I’ve had my own animals since I was 20 years old. I work alongside my local animal shelter and have fostered for them for the last 5 years. About: I worked at an animal hospital for almost 2 yrs.I took care of cats dogs and of course puppies! Helped administer medications and shots when needed bathing and grooming including ear cleaning and nail trims. After that I worked for an animal rescue taking care of dogs puppies and cats. I worked in the vet/rescue for 3 years. I also helped transport dogs puppies and cats to different rescues all across the United States! Once they were dropped off at their new location they got to be adopted into their forever home! While working with the rescue I helped train the animals and teach them tricks and other things to make sure they were ready to be adopted I have experience in giving medications and special needs dogs as well! “We had Dana come stay at our house and babysit our cat, Bella, for 5 days while we took a work-cation. I really like Dana, and we will definitely request her again. Here are a few reason why: 1) Our AC broke a few days before we were to leave but that did not bother Dana, she took it all in stride (thankfully, we did end up getting it fixed before we left). 2) Bella is not an easy cat to feed. She's a picky eater and can be somewhat of a pain when it comes to finishing her food. Dana was willing to work with Bella's "bad eating habits," which can honestly be a pain in the butt! 3) Bella knows how to do tricks so Dana took pictures of her tricks and sent them to me. This made me feel good, and let me know Bella likes Dana (Bella is skeptical of strangers). 4) We have bird feeders, bird baths, and even a bee bath that she kept full. 5) She watered our outdoor potted flowers/plants and they looked great when we came home. 6) Dana got our mail. 7) Dana left the house neat and tidy.”
