About: There is no animal that isn't my friend. I've been a dogwalker for the last year on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and am looking to continue dogwalking services for the Hudson area. I have been taking care of cats both professionally and in my own home since I was a small child, have administered various medications, seen to animals with special needs, puppy care, kitten care, you name it. When I am not pet-sitting, I am a poet who moonlights as a proofreader/copy-editor. I am available Monday-Sunday any time. I have recently moved to Hudson and am eager to take on new clients and discover the various hiking and running trails. My apartment is unfortunately not currently suited to house any large pets, although I am able to host smaller dogs. I am very respectful and accommodating!

About: I have loved and cared for animals my whole life. I especially love small dogs and understand that they need the same level of play and mental stimulation as all dogs. I have cared for cats, small animals, and chickens. I am a self employed artist with a flexible schedule. I take my own small dogs out to the local dog park every morning. I enjoy taking dogs out for walks in the nature areas and parks. I have two large fenced gardens at my home and allow my dogs to enjoy off leash time there. I understand that importance of keeping dogs on leash and cats indoors.

I live with my partner, Mike, and precious pups Kona and Desi. I have always lived with dogs. I am an Occupational Therapist in a school district full time and love to farm and bicycle during my off time. I’ve done house sitting and dog sitting previously and enjoyed the work. I don’t just walk dogs; I use every visit as an opportunity to build confidence, improve focus, and reinforce leash manners. My approach is built entirely on modern, science based Positive Reinforcement and LIMA (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) principles. I believe in rewarding behaviors we want to see, helping dogs learn safely, without the use of intimidation or aversive tools. I am currently completing dog training and behavior studies through the CATCH Academy curriculum. This ongoing education ensures your dog is in the hands of an informed and committed professional. I currently work part time on Sundays and Wednesdays, so I have plenty of time during the week to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care. At only 3 I moved in with my step father onto a small farm(yes this means I can feed your chickens, gather your eggs, clean your stalls, and feed your cattle, pigs, or even horses). I spent three years working in the veterinary field where I learned to better understand and triage animal emergency and how to deal with them calmly and safely. I have 3 dogs, and 2 cats of my own as well as a bearded dragon and a few chickens, whom I love more than life. I have minimal boarding experience, but have had or worked with everything from fish and birds, to dogs to cattle, from snakes to horses, and I love each one of these creatures just as much as the rest.
