Joey was very detailed about Rufus's care plan and asked lots of good questions. He sent plenty of beautiful photos and updates during the day. About: My love for pet care started about 8 years ago when I began raising and training future guide dogs. Since then, I’ve raised two dogs from puppyhood, giving me lots of hands on experience with puppy training, socialization, routines, basic commands, and caring for dogs through different stages of life. I work from home full-time, and together we only take a few dogs at a time, so every pup gets lots of attention in a comfortable, home environment🤍 We carry our own private pet care insurance (not just Rover’s standard protection). We also keep a consistent routine so everything feels easy for the dogs. We care for every dog together as a team. My husband Nate works at a local school and gets home early, so one (and often both) of us is home throughout the day. We help dogs get comfortable using our dog door so they can go in and out freely and keep their usual routine. We’ve worked with puppies as well and can help reinforce things like potty training, crate time, and settling into a new environment. We keep things relaxed and typically have up to 3 dogs at a time, so every dog has space to feel comfortable. We do a quick meet & greet beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Our setup works best for small to medium dogs. We have a fully fenced yard with a custom-built dog door, plus added safety features like anti-dig guards and front porch fencing for extra peace of mind. We also have cameras covering the backyard and main dog areas so we can keep a close eye on everyone. Inside, things are clean, cozy, and dog-safe, with floors and common areas kept clear so dogs don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.
