“Remi is an anxious dog, but after this boarding experience, I noticed a big difference. He was much calmer when I picked him up, and it did not take him days to de stress like usual. When we arrived, Kimberly greeted us outside with her dog, who is extremely friendly and calm. Even though Remi was on a leash, he handled the interaction well, which honestly surprised me. Throughout Remi’s stay, Kimberly sent pictures and regular updates. She played fetch with him, which is one of his favorite activities (other than eating). By the time he came home, he was happily exhausted. We are so glad we found Kimberly and highly recommend her. She is someone we will definitely continue to return to.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for a long time. I grew up surrounded by them, but I was lucky enough to work with them as well. I've worked in a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant, as well as volunteered at dog rescues where I helped with rehabilitating dangerous large dogs. I've also worked at a doggie daycare center, where I was responsible for assigning dogs to play groups and monitoring their behavior to ensure their safety. Because of this, I've learned to effectively monitor dog behavior and body language to interpret when they are comfortable, scared, or need to be separated from other dogs. I have experience giving medications and insulin injections, and know how to be careful with older or injured dogs with limited mobility. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I would be by your dog's side all day. Because of this it can be time for walkies or running around in the fenced yard basically any time doggo needs it. The door to the yard connects to the main living room, so if they want to bounce between being inside and outside it's easy to do so. My son and I also enjoy going for stroller walks around the neighborhood, so doggo gets to tag along with us for that as well to get some sniffs in. I have a fenced in yard for your dog to sprint around, and can take them for walks around the neighborhood. If your pup still gets bored we can take a car ride and go for some walks on nearby nature trails. In my home your pup is welcome to lounge on the furniture with me, and could follow me around throughout the day if they were feeling clingy (like my dog). Dog toys are always scattered around the house, and your pup can help themselves. For boarding, dogs also sleep in the same bedroom as me so they will not be alone overnight. (Exceptions being the dog may sleep in a separate room if they have potty issues, as the bedroom is carpeted.) My standard poodle Eleanor will always be with us, and will occasionally want to play as well. She is typically pretty mellow (after initial meeting) and doesn't run around much, but occasionally she finds a dog she clicks with and will want to play chase with them around the yard if they reciprocate with her. Have an older dog? Don't worry, she is just as happy to lay around with them. ***We do have a baby in the home, which is important to note. Baby is never allowed to touch the guest doggos, and is never left unattended with your dog EVER. We may temporarily keep baby and dog separated in different rooms via a baby gate if the baby is crawling around as we get to know your dog and their reaction to the baby. I am very diligent when it comes to ensuring the safety and comfort of your dog while in the same house with a baby, and their interactions will be monitored and in most cases limited. If you know your dog is reactive to small children, please kindly understand our family home is not a good fit for them.

About: I started walking my next door neighbor’s Boston Terrier when I was around 10. She knew I was an animal lover, and even let me experiment with some training with her pup. This led to me getting into agility training and just general dog training, which I have started to pick back up again. I am known as the family dog sitter, as my family has a combination of Pit Bulls, Bernedoodles, and hunting breeds, so I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and stubbornness! About: My love for animals has been my driving force in life. I’ve been taking care of and been around pets my entire life. There were two times that she canceled morning of and, with that late notice, I was not able to leave work or get anyone else to take him out. About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday. When we arrived, Kimberly greeted us outside with her dog, who is extremely friendly and calm. Even though Remi was on a leash, he handled the interaction well, which honestly surprised me. Throughout Remi’s stay, Kimberly sent pictures and regular updates. She played fetch with him, which is one of his favorite activities (other than eating). By the time he came home, he was happily exhausted. We are so glad we found Kimberly and highly recommend her. She is someone we will definitely continue to return to.”
“Jessie was excellent for our dog while we were away. He sent plenty of photos and our anxious dog appeared comfortable and happy. Jessie went above and beyond to encourage our dog to eat as he settled in. He returned home calm and not stressed. I will happily ask Jessie to watch our dog again.”
