About: I have been dog-sitting consistently since 2016, and it's something I truly love! My budget and schedule doesn't allow me to have a dog right now, but I love getting to care for others when they need someone reliable and trustworthy to help them out! I work part time and have a pretty flexible job, so can work with your schedule and needs. Reach out to me and we'll see if we can work it out! I am very thorough, detail-oriented, and responsible. I always aim to care for your pets the way I would care for my own, so rest assured, they will be in good hands!
“Stephanie was so awesome taking care of our two kitties! She is extremely responsive and responsible. I would not hesitate to recommend her and would definitely love to have her kitty sit for us again in the future.”

“I was very impressed with the thorough job that was done and communication updates. She went well above expectations and made our trip more worry-free about our pets ?. Thank you ? for your help. Deb and Dennis”

“Natalie did great, and the dogs loved her. She took great care of my dogs and gave me the peace of mind that they would be well taken care of. I would definitely book again.”

“Thank you so much for dropping in to check on our two kitties. We really really appreciate that you were able to visit around Mollee's bedtime and to see her in the photos all relaxed in her usual places. Della jumped down from the cat tree in the office when we got home, she was napping up top. Hopefully, as she gets to know you, she will come out and play with you!”

“Isaac is awesome! We have 3 dogs, 2 very large Cane Corsos and a pitbull mix. Our male Corso is the challenge, his trust has to be earned before he relaxes. He is actually our most loving dog, but not to strangers. He’s a guard dog no question. Issac is working with him, earning his trust and is not intimidated by him. ( thank goodness 🙏). We have FINALLY found someone! I highly recommend Isaac.”

About: I’ve had my own animals and have helped friends and family by pet sitting or even going to just walk them or feed them. I have animals in my household and i love having them around me when i’m at home. I’m currently self employed, my schedule is open and i am available anytime if i am needed. I do grocery deliveries and lyft so my schedule depends on me. I have 3 cats they are all inside cats. They are very chill and do as they please. Whenever i’m home they are usually relaxing with me. If needed, i am available for pet sitting and whatever instructions are left is what i will go by.

About: What sets me apart in pet care is my hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic, where I am trained to recognize early signs of illness, stress, and behavioral changes. I am comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for pets of all ages and temperaments. My clinical background allows me to provide not only attentive and loving care, but also an added level of knowledge and preparedness that gives pet owners true peace of mind I have lots of free time to care for , take walk ,feed ,clean up after your fur baby’s and to make sure your furry friends get the best care possible ❤️ Creating a safe and trusting environment is my top priority when pet sitting. I maintain consistent routines to help pets feel secure and reduce stress, while ensuring their space remains clean, hazard-free, and comfortable. I take time to build trust at each pet’s pace, using calm, patient interactions and positive reinforcement. With my experience in a veterinary clinic, I am attentive to both physical and behavioral changes, allowing me to respond quickly and appropriately if concerns arise. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, respected, and cared for as if they were mine
“Emily was very caring and try her best to be flexible for my last min request. She is very responsible when it comes to care my cat while I’m gone and share with me of my cats behavior to avoid any possible issues. I appreciate her to above and beyond as I love my cat. Will definitely look for Emily to care my cat again and highly recommended! :)”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life and I love them oh so dearly! I’ve stayed in homes of family friend dog owners for a few years now, mostly just taking care of the dogs and going on walks, as well as watering plants when needed. I’m not much of a cat person, I didn’t grow up with cats but I can do what is needed of me. I work part time, around 25 hours a week so I’ll have plenty of time to hang out with your babies and make sure they are well taken care of. I will care for your baby in your own home where they have all their favorite toys and comfort spots. I will take them for walks and give them all the snuggles they need!
“Kaitlyn is a great cat-sitter. I returned to a quite happy cat. She followed all provided instructions and promptly replied during the entire duration of the cat sitting. Even though my cat is pretty shy around new people, Kaitlyn quickly earned his trust. Kaitlyn provided many pictures and prompt updates for each day's visit and was thoughtful enough to double-check that I was returning as expected. I unequivocally recommend her as a cat-sitter and would book again.”

“Becky is very sweet and reliable. She was able to meet my dogs and quickly built rapport with my very shy little pup. It was only one week later and my shy baby was giving her kisses and not barking when she came to care for her. Becky sends me photos from the visit and regularly checks in. I appreciate her help with my grandma dog and the extra love and care she needs. Becky has been great and I am very thankful for her help!”

About: I’ve taken care of countless pets and treated them as my own over the years. It’s truly what I’m most passionate about. My main goal is to make the pets and owners feel as safe and comfortable as possible and to have a blast doing it! I have an open schedule and can do same day bookings. Early mornings aren’t my strong suit but I’m willing to do what works best for you and your pet. Pets feel most comfortable at home or in their own neighborhood with familiar surroundings. I pay close attention to the things that put them at ease when you’re away and try to get to know every individual animal’s needs.
About: I understand an animals body language well and absolutely adore them. Making your pet feel special and thoroughly played with is my specialty and the joy goes both ways! I am very responsible when it comes to potty breaks, feeding and (like I’ve mentioned) giving attention! I’ve only ever had one small dog growing up, but am always gravitating towards animals when I have the chance—Hence this job! I lived with my sister and her 4 cats for 2 years and took care of them the entire time—litter box cleaning, feeding, bathing, etc. For 4 years I took care of 2 giant great pyrenees, akbash, and anatolian shepherd mixes who were a lot of work. That being said, if there is anything unique with your animal I am determined to learn and am passionate about it! At the end of the day my goal is to make them feel loved. I work full time and my only true day off is Monday and I will have one other day off (either Tuesdays or Thursdays) on days I work I’m usually done by 5pm—I can always switch around my schedule if I know ahead of time! Currently my roommates have an indoor cat that I will play with and give treats to. Unfortunately, I would not be able to bring your pet inside my home. One of the main reasons I want to pet sit is so I can be with animals since I don’t have the space or recourses for them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
