About: I've lived with pets all my life and while I’ve only had one human roommate in the last 30 years, I've always had a least one cat up until 2018. I LOVE cats (esp kittens), and am quite comfortable around dogs as well (I love them too, just not in all capitals, LOL). When I first started pet sitting, I thought I preferred cats to dogs, but the past few years have enabled me to expand in my love of, and comfort with dogs (but please don't tell the cats that)! I also used to 'lease' a horse in my youth and have experience with birds, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs. I DON'T like snakes or insects (sorry!) In the last 12 years I’ve volunteered with several rescues as a cat/kitten foster and I'm known to be particularly good with feral kittens and cats. I'm really good with walking (dogs mostly), dispensing medications, and loving attention, but I'm not a pushover when it comes to treats from the table (that's a no-no) staying on leash when required, and letting them know I mean business when necessary. I don't believe in EVER striking or punishing animals and seem to fall in love with them all. I’ve been a house and pet sitter on the site “Trusted Housesitters” since 2018 and have over 21 positive reviews there. I’m recently retired (yet surprisingly busy). I don’t do a lot of night driving, but am otherwise generally available. I’m a stickler about being on time, and keeping dates I commit to. My preference is for cats to remain indoors at all time at my house, and dogs always on a lead when outside. I have a variety of crate sizes here, and am totally comfortable with your fur kids riding in my car, lounging on my furniture, and/or sleeping in my bed. I have all wood floors, plenty of cat litter pans and bowls for food and water. My yard is not fenced but I live directly in front of the Western Maryland Rail Trail, and have easy access to neighborhood parks as well.

My black lab, Teke, was my best friend and provided me with hours of fun and years of memories. About: Many years ago I used to take care of my neighbors' golden retriever. This led to dog-sitting at my house, house-sitting, cat-sitting, plenty of dog walking, as well as some hiking with dogs. Even now, golden retrievers are one of my favorite breeds. Whenever I have a Rover booking I try to spend as much time with the dog as possible. For short stays (1-4 days) I usually don't have to leave the dog home alone at all. For longer stays I try to minimize time away and when I am out it's typically very brief - running a couple of errands, grocery store, etc. My house has a large, well maintained yard with plenty of room for dogs to play and "do their business". My yard isn't fenced, so I'll keep dogs on a leash at all times when outside. If your dog likes hiking I'm an avid hiker and have found that hiking always goes better with dogs!

About: I've have experience with special needs cats and dogs. Also horses,goats,chickens, and small animals. Proud owner of a therapy dog. Animals are a part of my life! I love them all! Taking care of pets is a part of my daily routine. This Includes exercise, play time and grooming. Animals enjoy daily attention and activities. This is something I find very rewarding. About: I have always had a big heart for pets. This includes cats and dogs. I enjoy being around them, feeding them, and cleaning after them. I work full time for a nonprofit, but have flexibility. I’m mostly available on Fridays-Mondays. I currently care for doggies and cats in my own home. My doggy is on a feeding schedule and get regular walks. About: I grew up on a small dairy farm with all kinds of animals. I went on to college at Penn State and graduated with a degree in Agriculture. I spent five years working on dairy farms and then became Registered Nurse because I married a dairy farmer and needed to work off the farm. About: I've had pets since I was born. I've fostered cats, kittens, and elderly dogs for shelters, and have experience pet sitting for dogs of a variety of sizes. Sometimes those sits were for 4 weeks at a time. I also have experience giving dogs medication and am familar with the different medications having been in a shelter environment and having a mom who worked in a vets office. I've had my own deaf dog for 11 years now and am very familiar with the care involved with a dog with special needs. I've also adopted senior dogs and know what kind of care they require. I know how to take care of dogs with high anxiety issues and those with a lot of phobias too. I've yet to meet an animal I didn't like!

About: Graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh did my internship at Somerset Animal Medical Center. I then went on to be a Veterinary Technician at Loyalsock Animal Hospital. I have been around animals all my life and have cared for animals for eight years. I have been trained to preform such skills like canine CPR and Canine first aid. I know first hand how difficult it could be having a full time job, trying to take care of pets, and having to make time to go on to a vacation or go away for a weekend. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from Yorkshire terriers to mastiffs. I’ve fed, walked, and entertained dogs most of my life and currently I’m a dog trainer. Currently I’m a dog trainer so I’m required to interact with dogs and learn their behaviors. About: I have been an animal lover my whole life. I was raised around dogs and cats from the time I was born. I was a dog sitter for a few years, but I currently don't have the space for it in my home. I have experience in dog grooming, and I cut my own dogs hair. Currently, I am interested in mostly dog walking and occasional grooming services. I'm a bit out of practice with cutting dogs with different hair texture from my poodles curly coat, so I will take grooming clients on a case by case basis right now. About: I work hard to make the sweet puppys ( or adult dog) have a happy time as possible. Also, I having experience with senior dog who needs understanding and patients and just as much love if not more. I am general manager at a pizza shop, I am single. I would have time to help a dog or cat get attention or other animals. I have had mice, rats and fresh water fish, dogs and cats. Dogs need time to burn off energy, so I would walk with them , play ball or frisbee, depending on what they prefer. Also, bigger dogs from my experience like to tug on ropes or stuff animals.

About: I was raised around dogs my entire life and have always loved taking care of them and playing with them. I currently have 6 dogs and love everyone of them dearly and always spoil them while making sure they’re well behaved. I always help out with animals every day around the house whether it’s feeding, potting or walking my dogs to make sure they’re healthy and cared for. I care for them by making sure they are let out every time I get home and giving them time to use the bathroom or walking them so they can get their energy out.

About: My animals have always been treated like a member of the family, and are even more spoiled than myself. I will always treat your pet like my own! I work from home so I am available to do daily tasks in between answering emails, phone calls, etc. Pet care comes first before anything! Having a high energy breed myself, I am always striving to make my day fit around my dog. I will meet the needs of your pet based on their energy level and their health.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and I’ve always known I wanted to work with them. After working at a dog daycare, that feeling only grew stronger. I adore caring for dogs or any pets! Even with all of their very different personalities I love every single one of them and would care for them as if they were my own. I am completely free during the summer to give your pet lots of love! In the fall I have complete availability besides my morning classes :) I can’t care for many pets in my own home considering I do live in a small apartment. Pets are allowed however, they just wouldn’t have much room! I do have a crate and the potential to house your pet if that would be something you would want to explore! About: I love all types of dogs and have personally trained 4 over the years from puppy to adult. I have also had to help one with diabetic insulin shots for over a years time. I genuinely care about the pets I own and give them lots of attention and love each day! I am currently available every day or the week and am able to come and give your pet company or walk your pet when needed. I will care for the pet as the client suggests and always take into account what the owner prefers I do when walking or watching their fur baby. At this time I am not watching others pets at my home, but at the clients home.
