This is exactly how to meet an anxious dog! And our Portia responded by walking right up to Deanna and sniffing her. Portia walked with Rick this walkie. But Portia did walk between Deanna and him. About: Caring for pets isn’t just something I do — it’s something I genuinely love. I’m a fully retired L/D nurse of 15 years who is home 24/7. I’m 40 years old and able to accommodate special feeding/medication times plus offer a regular routine similar to the one they already have at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. Our home is a pet-friendly, secure environment, with no hazards and plenty of space to play, explore, and relax. We maintain a calm, clean, and structured routine so pets feel safe, happy, and at ease while you’re away.

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs throughout my life. Both of my grandparents have also always had them, so I am very familiar with how to care for them. I volunteered time with my grandma taking care of the animals and cleaning at the Dekalb humane shelter when I was younger. I just started walking my neighbors three dogs recently. I track these walks on Strava, and you can check that out if you’re curious about how far we walk and what the route looks like. I love animals so much that I choose to live a vegan lifestyle! I am excited to meet your pet(s)! Right now I have a part time job and no kids. I spend time working out, but that can be worked around easily. I may be unavailable if I have a boxing match, and I have practice 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8-9 a.m. on Saturdays. I prefer to care for pets at other people’s homes because we have three cats ourselves. I am very confident in my ability to care for pets. I am very capable so it’s okay if you have a dog that pulls pretty hard.

About: For as long as I can remember, I have always had an animal in my life. I got a puppy at a young age and cared for him up until the day he passed. Since becoming an adult, I adopted a kitten and continue to care for him. He is now 6 and the light of my life! I have an extremely flexible schedule! I currently work part time with a lot of availability. I’m available at almost any hour of the day. I currently have a cat but he has his own space if tensions were to rise. I have a mid sized unfenced yard, but I know of multiple dog parks. I’m available to cuddle up with animals or wear out some energy!

About: Animals have been a passion of mine all of my life. I have owned and cared for many species including fish, reptiles, birds, hamsters, dogs and cats. My love for animals brought me to work as a veterinary assistant and later to attend the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers. I have a nice, fenced play yard that I use to let my dogs and visiting dogs run and play (I do not let my own dogs play with visiting dogs). I also have a built-in dog bathtub that I can used to give your dog a nice bath (for an added fee) before they return home upon request. When I visit a home- I follow given instructions and keep the area clean. My goal is for you to not even notice I was there. When I visit to walk your pet-I follow instructions and keep the area clean. I remain aware and not distracted. This ensures your pet remains safe and engaged during the walk. If your dog is more fearful-I try to make the walk as stress-free as possible.

About: I've had dogs my entire life! I love dogs and treat them just like family! We also love to take pups on walks and play. I am home for the summer with our daughter. I am able to dog sit during the week, over the weekend, and overnight as well. We have a fenced in yard to keep the dogs safe. We also live in an area that is great for walks multiple times a day.

About: Both my wife and I have had pets since we were little. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and love spending time with them all. I work from home Monday-Friday, and my wife works from home only 3 days a week, allowing a lot of flexibility for potty breaks and play time. We are also home most of the time on weekends. About: I’ve been pet sitting since i was 14, dogs of all sizes and breeds, cats (including the ones with attitude) and rabbits. I started out dog sitting for the family pets and have now gotten recommendations for family friends, neighbors, and a couple people im not even related to. About: I have grown up around pets my whole life. Currently I have a small Havanese and a cat, but if it were up to me I would have a-lot more! I have previous experience watching my neighbors Basset hound and Rottweiler for weeks at a time while they were on vacation. This consisted of many walks a day, feeding the dogs, picking up poop out of the yard, and staying the night at their house. I also have pet sit for a family with two Yorkies, a Chihuahua and a bunny. One summer I nannied/ dog sat for a family with a toddler and golden doodle three times a week. One unique experience I have is caring for a blind and deaf elderly dog. I had to watch her while she went to the bathroom, carry her up the stairs, feed her separately from the other dogs, and pick her up when she fell. I believe that I can tackle any challenge and give your pets the best care they deserve! I am currently a student with classes in the mid morning. I could let pets out/ dog walk in the morning before class and I am free in the afternoons and able to stay overnight if needed. I would take into consideration my surroundings in a house before taking my eyes off the animal. I don’t plan on watching animals in my own home so I would trust that the owners provide a safe environment for their pets. I would have a meet and greet with the owner and pets prior to watching them to fully understand what the owner expects of me.
