We could not have been happier with the care given to Charlie . She was very knowledgeable and calm when first meeting him which put us immediately at ease. We got pictures and updates throughout our trip . Was so nice to know he was well taken care of and even given walks we did not ask her to take on .appreciate so much being able to relax and enjoy our trip knowing Charlie was well cared for. Will definitely use service again and recommend to anyone looking for care .

About: I have had dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I have always taken care of my family's and friend's pets when they travel both cat and dogs, staying at their house or bringing their pet to my home. I had taken care of feeding and walking but I also had a cat who was diabetic, and I was able to manage his blood sugar and daily insulin injection for many years (that cat was mine). I have experience with young dogs, adult dogs and senior dogs more than puppies, but I have done some training of puppies my dad has had over the years I do work Monday through Friday 9-4 but work from home with frequent breaks and my teenager does online school so there is always someone home with few exceptions (when she has dance and I take her and pick up but only gone for about 30 min several times a week. I am free on weekends, so plenty of time to give your fur baby as much attention as needed. I live in an apartment, but we have a dog park area on property which allows space to run. I am also open to taking to the park or long walk if that is preferred I always ask the dog or cats routine at home, so I can ensure that I am duplicating that in my own home. So, I typically follow their routine from walks to feeding schedule including administering any medications and/or supplements. My dad's dog would get very scared of thunderstorms so during summer, I would have to be mindful of pending weather to ensure that she was given medication at right time

About: Hello animal enthusiasts! My name is Katie and I have worked with animals in a multitude of settings. Jane Goodall (Primatologist) was always an idol of mine. As I grew up in a household loving my dogs, cats, and birds I envisioned working in Africa with chimpanzees. While my vision didn't manifest exactly the way I had fathomed, I still ended up working with baboons in Africa (2017). Along the way, I was an outdoor educator for several years working with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. I have been attracted to all types of animals since the day I was born. As a science teacher (8 years), I kept corals and saved many animals in the outdoor environment near our school (from squirrels to birds and much more). My husband and I have just moved from Chicago, IL to Florida. We have a love for adventure and curiosity for the great outdoors. We are happily married with our Cockatiel (Sunny) and Umbrella Cockatoo (Jack). I can't wait to meet you and love your pets for eternity! Along with my elementary education degree, I studied zoology. So, with that being stated, I'm here in Florida ready to meet new people, love your pets, teach, adventure, and learn all about Florida ecology! Let's connect! I'm currently reinventing my life/schedule after just recently moving from Chicago, IL this year and leaving my middle school science teaching position. I plan on working for a nature center and substitute teaching while I continue improving my writing career. As of right now, I have an open schedule until the end of August. I will be changing my availability in September. Currently, we do not have a fenced in yard for your pet but I can surely take him/her out with their leash in our vast open space! If your dog loves the hose, we have access to this as well. Who doesn't love a nice spray during the hot summer? Your pet will have 24 hour access to this yard, cozy home, and the couch or bed! We live about 5 minutes from the Audubon Pennington Park where we love to take nature walks. I'm sure your dog wouldn't mind a nature walk too! We truly do enjoy hosting neighborhood pets as one of our very own family members. Your pet will receive unconditional love, constant cuddles, outdoor time, and food/water the way you prefer it! At night time, they can choose from our warm bed or their very own cozy dog bed. Your pet is top priority and we want to provide the best experience for them so that they are happy to come back and play! With that being said, I would love to work with you to provide whatever it is you and your pet need. Thanks and can't wait to touch base!

About: Your Pets are Part of My Family! With over a decade of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds, from frolicking puppies to dignified seniors, I've devoted my life to ensuring the health, happiness, and safety of pets. Neighbors, friends, and family have consistently relied on my expertise to walk, feed, bathe, and provide loving companionship for their furry loved ones. My unique skill set includes puppy training, senior care, and a special knack for easing anxious pets. With me, your pet isn't just another job - they're part of my family! Pet care is more than just a routine for me, it's a lifestyle. My day begins with a morning walk, setting a peaceful tone for both me and the pets in my care. Throughout the day, scheduled feedings, play times, and additional walks or outings are neatly integrated into my other daily activities, ensuring that no pet feels neglected or under-stimulated. I balance my personal commitments in a way that always allows ample time for the pets under my supervision. Weekly routines involve deeper engagements like grooming sessions, visits to the park, or more extensive exercises for pets that require it. Weekends often feature special activities, like hiking or beach visits, bringing a sense of adventure and extra enjoyment for the pets. In essence, pet care has become an inseparable aspect of my life's rhythm, creating a harmonious blend of responsibility, commitment, and above all, the immense joy of bonding with animals Whether in my home or my client's, I uphold the highest standards of care and attention for every pet under my supervision. For pets visiting my home, I ensure their comfort and safety first. I maintain a clean, pet-proof space, with various designated areas for eating, playing, and resting. Playtime and walks are plentiful, and I respect the dietary routines and restrictions provided by pet owners. I make sure each pet receives one-on-one attention, keeping a keen eye on their mood and health. In a client's home, I respect the pet's routine and the owner's space. I follow instructions for feeding, walking, and medications precisely, ensuring pets feel secure in their familiar environment. Extra services like bringing in mail or watering plants can also be arranged. I prioritize cleanliness and leave the home exactly as I found it. For both cases, I stay in frequent communication with the pet owners, providing updates and cute photos to keep them connected with their furry friends. The well-being and happiness of pets and their owners are my top priority

About: What truly sets me apart as a pet sitter is a blend of specialized skills, a deep understanding of animal behavior, and a proactive, personalized approach to care. I don't just "watch" pets; I actively engage with them and anticipate their needs. Here's what makes my service stand out: Specialized Care for All Ages and Needs: Puppy Training & Socialization Support: Bringing a new puppy home is exciting but can be overwhelming. I have hands-on experience with positive reinforcement techniques for puppies, including: Potty training consistency: Adhering strictly to schedules and rewarding successes. Basic obedience reinforcement: "Sit," "stay," "come," and leash manners are consistently practiced during visits. Positive socialization: Safely exposing puppies to new sights, sounds, and experiences (once vaccinations are complete) to build confidence. Nipping & chewing redirection: Providing appropriate outlets and redirection for natural puppy behaviors. Compassionate Senior Pet Care: Older pets often require a more delicate touch and specific considerations. My experience includes: Medication Administration: Proficient in administering oral medications, eye drops, and topical treatments as prescribed. Mobility Support: Assisting with gentle walks, providing non-slip surfaces, and helping senior pets navigate stairs or get onto elevated beds if needed. Recognizing subtle health changes: I'm attuned to the less obvious signs of discomfort or illness in older animals and will communicate any concerns immediately. Comfort & Routine: Ensuring their environment is warm, comfortable, and their routine is strictly maintained to minimize stress. Special Needs & Behavioral Awareness: I have experience caring for pets with anxiety, reactivity, or specific medical conditions. I understand how to read their body language, respect their boundaries, and apply management techniques discussed with owners to ensure their comfort and safety. This includes: Anxiety management: Using calming techniques, avoiding triggers, and creating a secure environment. Leash reactivity awareness: Knowing how to safely handle and distract reactive dogs on walks. Strict dietary adherence: Meticulously following any specialized feeding instructions or restrictions. Proactive & Observant Approach: I don't just follow instructions; I observe, anticipate, and adapt. Early Detection: I pay close attention to subtle changes in appetite, energy levels, potty habits, or demeanor, which can be early indicators of a health issue. You'll be notified immediately of any concerns. Environmental Awareness: I'm constantly assessing the pet's environment for safety, ensuring no hazards are present and that their space is clean and comfortable. Exceptional Communication & Peace of Mind: Daily Photo and Video Updates: You'll receive regular, often daily, updates with photos and short videos so you can see your pet happy and thriving. Detailed Visit Summaries: Beyond just photos, I provide a brief summary of each visit – detailing activities, potty breaks, and any observations. Open and Timely Communication: I pride myself on being highly responsive and accessible, ensuring you're always in the loop. Genuine Passion & Calm Demeanor: My love for animals isn't just a talking point; it's the foundation of my service. I approach every pet with a calm, patient, and empathetic demeanor, which helps even the most timid animals feel at ease. Building trust and a positive bond with your pet is paramount to me. Choosing a pet sitter means entrusting someone with a beloved family member. I offer not just reliable care, but a dedicated, knowledgeable partner who understands the unique needs of different pets and goes the extra mile to ensure their happiness, safety, and well-being. Here's how pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring your furry family member receives consistent, high-quality attention: Daily Routine: Structured & Flexible for Optimal Care My days are structured around the needs of the pets in my care, whether they're staying with me or I'm visiting them in their homes. Early Mornings (6:00 AM - 8:00 AM): First Potty Breaks/Walks: The day starts early with immediate potty breaks and morning walks for dogs. Feeding: All pets are fed according to their individual schedules and dietary needs. Fresh water is always provided. Medication (if applicable): Any necessary medications are administered precisely as instructed. Initial Play/Interaction: A morning dose of cuddles, play, or quiet interaction sets a positive tone for the day. Mid-Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Client Home Visits (if applicable): If I have house-sitting or drop-in visits scheduled, this is when I'll travel to clients' homes for walks, feeding, playtime, and home checks (mail, plants, etc.). In-Home Play/Enrichment: For pets staying with me, this is a prime time for structured play sessions, puzzle toys, training refreshers, or quiet relaxation. Mid-Day Potty Breaks/Walks: Another round of outdoor time for dogs. Afternoon (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Relaxation & Supervision: Pets typically have a quiet period, often napping. I'm always present and attentive, ensuring their comfort and safety. Additional Client Visits/Walks: More visits to client homes for evening check-ins, walks, and feeding. Outdoor Play/Yard Time: For those staying with me, more outdoor time in the securely fenced yard or another walk. Evening (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM): Dinner Time: Pets are fed their evening meal. Evening Walks/Potty Breaks: The final significant walks and potty breaks of the day for dogs. Wind-Down & Cuddle Time: A period for relaxation, grooming, and plenty of affection before bedtime. Last Potty Break (before bed): A quick final trip outside for dogs right before lights out. Weekly Routine: Maintaining Health & Happiness My weekly routine ensures that beyond daily needs, pets receive holistic care and my business runs smoothly: Veterinary Access: I maintain an open line of communication with local veterinarians in Port Charlotte, FL, and am prepared for any emergency, having transport readily available. I always have emergency contact information for your pet's vet. Supply Checks: I regularly check and restock pet supplies (food, treats, waste bags, cleaning supplies) to ensure I'm always prepared. Exercise Variety: I vary walking routes and play activities to keep pets mentally stimulated and physically engaged. Cleaning & Hygiene: Regular cleaning of pet areas, toys, and bedding is a constant priority to maintain a healthy environment. Client Communication: I dedicate time each day to sending updates, photos, and messages to pet parents, keeping them informed and reassured. I'm also readily available for communication throughout their pet's stay. Continued Learning: I regularly read up on best practices in pet care, animal behavior, and pet first aid to continually enhance my skills. In essence, pet care isn't just an "add-on" to my day; it is my day. My life is organized to prioritize the well-being and happiness of the animals entrusted to my care, providing a predictable yet adaptable schedule that meets their individual needs. Here's how I care for pets, whether it's in my home or yours: In My Home: A Cozy Retreat for Your Pet When your pet stays with me, they become part of my family. Here's what that looks like: Dedicated Space: Pets have access to safe, comfortable areas, whether it's a cozy dog bed in the living room or a designated cat-friendly zone. Regular Exercise & Play: For dogs, that means multiple walks daily in our quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood, plus playtime in the securely fenced yard. Cats get plenty of interactive play sessions with toys and enrichment. Consistent Routine: I stick to their feeding, potty, and medication schedules as closely as possible to minimize stress and maintain familiarity. Constant Supervision: Your pet is never left unsupervised for extended periods. I'm always nearby to ensure their safety and provide companionship. Lots of Love & Cuddles: Of course, they'll get plenty of affection, belly rubs, and all the attention they can handle!

About: From a teacup poodle to a big mastiff, I've had pets of various sizes. I've pet-sit (or "cat-sat"), my friends and families pets whenever they needed so I'd be happy to do that as well. I'm also no stranger to helping feed pets their nasty medicine as well. I'm currently looking for a job as I've just moved down here! That being the case, I've got plenty of time (with almost an entirely free schedule), to walk and play with your pups! I have met dogs and cats of all energy levels, from pups that have high energy to those who like to make their daily rounds before plopping down for a nap. Whatever their needs are, I am happy to comply. Their comfort and enjoyment is my top priority!

About: I've have two dogs of my own, one is a blue heeler/ rottweiler named Tak and the other is a Vizla whos name is Haruko. Which means sunlight child in Japanese. He has the more golden glowing eyes! I also have been around dogs most of my life, my partners mom got us into volunteering at The Bully Project and we go and walk the dogs just because. My partners mom use to work there too. I also grew up with close to around 20-30 cats at once when I was a little girl, I was always so use to being surrounded by them in my yard and hanging out with them as much as I possibly could. Ive always been real sensitive to animals and their feelings, it's literally a sixth sense. I was currently managing and running my own professional wedding photography business but have slowed down drastically to focus on the little things. Im interested in dog/cat sitting and getting into learning how to grow a garden. Im wanting to take a huge break from social media and work more in the physical world. I also have two dogs of my own so its always been in my routine to care my my pets and take care of them. I have a huge open availability this whole year. I don't recommend having them stay at my own home just because of how high energy my Vizsla is. I do however recommend I come to your home to watch them. I promise to make sure your pets are comfortable with me there, make sure they go outside as frequently as needed to go to the bathroom, take medication, have cuddles, and watch for all the little things. Even keep the active on commands/tricks if they use any, that way they are consistently engaged. Im always outside the entire time with my dogs even though we have a fenced in yard because I want to make sure they don't dig under the fence and escape and that they are truly looked after in the best possible way.

About: My mom raised basset hounds and I certainly have a fondness for the breed but I love most four legged babies. My home is quiet and calm so older pets can be reassured of a relaxing experience. I enjoy leash walking and my neighborhood is quiet so walks won't be overstimulating or scary. I work from home but do work Saturdays from 10-5 at a local boutique as well. Most of my boarders are okay with being left alone for that length of time. I can easily crate your pet if that is what they are used to. Detailed instructions are always welcomed in regard to feeding, walking and bathroom breaks for your pet.

Whenever Katie visits or watches Bailey, his tail starts wagging uncontrollably and you can see the excitement in his eyes. It's evident that they have developed a special connection. Katie’s genuine care and affection have made her an invaluable part of our dog's life. I feel at ease whenever I have to leave my dog in her capable hands. She is truly a compassionate and reliable caregiver and would highly recommend her.

About: Since childhood, I’ve always cared for dogs. After losing my beloved dog, I’ve longed to feel that special connection again, and I’m ready to give your pup the love they deserve. I work part-time, so I can take your dog out during the morning shift or lunch breaks, ensuring they get the attention they deserve while you’re at work. My home is pet-friendly with a secure, fenced yard where dogs can roam freely and safely. I provide the same care and attention when walking dogs in their own home, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved in a familiar environment.

Amber has done an excellent job of taking care of my furry children. Fed on time. Plays with them, grooms them without asking and I never came home to P&P on the floors . Two of our girls watch her leave and cry. She is excellent with the furry children.
